Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Thursday suspended a progressive state attorney who he accused of 'ignoring the law' for refusing to enforce recent measures on abortion and gender-affirming surgery. 'State attorney for this Judicial Circuit, Andrew Warren, has put himself publicly above the law,' DeSantis said during a press conference on the prosecutor's home turf. Senator Elizabeth Warren told NBC News Tuesday night that she will not vote for a newly-introduced bipartisan bill that would enshrine federal abortion protections after the Supreme Court's recent ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, a tough blow to the nascent effort that shows it would lack the crucial support of all 50 Democratic senators. “The Kaine-Collins bill does not codify Roe,” she said plainly, saying “no” she wouldn’t vote for it. Pressed on if this was a question of letting the perfect be the enemy of the good on this, she said “the problem here is this bill is not an obvious improvement over where we stand right now.”

Pennsylvania Democrat U.S. Senate nominee John Fetterman’s “blue collar” image is being called into question after reports revealed he lived off of his parents’ money well into his mid-40s. Although Fetterman runs ads that purport him to be a “blue collar tough guy,” his parents reportedly financially supported him while he served as mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, for 13 years. Fetterman, who has acknowledged his “cushy” suburban childhood, has openly admitted to the financial contributions his parents gave him as an adult.

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is doing just fine with vast sections defying every forecast of impending doom made by climate catastrophists over the past 30 years, a report Thursday outlines. Coral cover on two-thirds of the iconic reef, which is seen as a bellwether of ocean health, has reached its highest level since records began 36 years ago, according to marine scientists monitoring the ecosystem. The Australian Institute of Marine Sciences (AIMS) said in its annual report the reef is vibrant and flourishing although challenges do remain for such a “resilient system” that “still maintains that ability to recover from disturbances,” AIMS monitoring programme leader Mike Emslie confirmed.

When Nicholas Roske learned that Roe v. Thankfully, even though federal and state law enforcement did almost nothing (despite laws on the books) to protect justices from protests at their house (a perfect cover for Roske), Roske was caught in time. Now we’re learning that Roske isn’t just another crazy leftist: He's a crazy leftist who also thinks he’s a woman. Craft breweries across America have been on the front lines of businesses facing higher material costs because of inflation. Now, many are confronting a shortage of a key ingredient: carbon dioxide, the gas that gives beer its crisp, effervescent taste. And one brewer has already said it plans to shut down a key manufacturing plant and lay off workers as a result. Night Shift Brewing, in Everett, Massachusetts, just outside Boston, cited the CO2 shortage as the reason it is suspending operations at its longtime facility and outsourcing to nearby locations instead. "Come October 1, we won’t likely have jobs for many of this team," the company said in a statement on Instagram.
