Prosecutors in Napa County, California, have walked back what they call a “boilerplate” drug allegation in the DUI complaint against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi.
As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, Napa prosecutors released the criminal complaint against Paul Pelosi in which it stated he had injured a driver “while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and a drug and under their combined influence.” On Wednesday, the prosecutors clarified that the word “drug” was simply boilerplate language.

So, the prosecutors are admitting that they just charge people with crimes bases on "boiler plate" charges and then it is up to the defendant to prove them wrong.

That's terminology for other drunks driving around to make the penalty seemed worse when sentencing them. I would be 'boilerplated' with six years in prison for injuring someone in an accident I caused like this elite nitwit did.

The next step will be a revelation that the alcohol test was somehow done wrong, and thus invalid. America's foremost insider trader smelled of alcohol because someone spilled wine on him at the vineyard, his eyes were red from exhaustion after many hours of charity work to benefit poor minority children, and the accident happened when he swerved to avoid a widdle kitten that had a cute pink bow around its neck.

Nervous Nancy found out about the woman he had in the car with him so he had to generate another couple of hundred million via insider trading, this time on the chip bill. That will cover a couple of weekends shopping for the hag.

The blood alcohol level was 0.82% which is marginally over the legal limit but this blood test was taken 2 hours after the accident. His behavior with slurred speech suggests a much higher alcohol level initially or some other drug in his system. Blood tests only reveal what was asked for. If the police didn't ASK for other drug identification then we will never know. How much ya want to bet they did not?

Heck, if I were the poor schmuck that Mr Pelosi totaled, I'm expecting that "new evidence" will find that I'm responsible for the wreck and will be the only guy charged by the DA for a crime with a long, long, prison sentence.

Both the new "judge" and the prosecutor are in the tank for Pelosi. Expect nothing to come from this and you will be neither surprised nor disappointed.

they're really trying to make this go away into some hole of oblivion but actually the verdict is already in and, guess what - Not Guilty or else pay a fine and charges dismissed in 6 months
who's kidding who this is a huge example of preferential justice, so why don't they just say it and do it, his insurance will cover the damages and other expenses to the other driver and vehicle, so, as usual it's "who you know and who you are" that sets the tone for this judicial mal-justice

Pelosi will still walk. There are rules for him and rules for the peasants. Especially in California.

When this all dies down Paul Pelosi is facing a small fine and a stern "...don't do this again." He is a high-ranking Democrat, you see and won't suffer consequences the rest of us surely would endure.
