A debate was held Tuesday night between Nadler, Maloney, and frequent Maloney challenger Suraj Patel ahead of their August 23rd primary. Though the debate will likely be remembered by the New Yorkers who watched it as one where Nadler bumbled a lot and where there at times were tense moments between the two powerful Democrats, it’s what they said about President Joe Biden during the debate that has attracted the most media attention.
During a lightning round at the debate, each candidate was asked if they believed President Biden should run for office again in 2024.
Is Nadler doing his best Joe Biden impression?

I agree with the poster. Why don't we have term limits? Elected officials shouldn't be treated like tenured employees of the government. Now I do realize they run for election, but the grift and corruption in our election process just recycles them. And I know cheating has always existed, but it has become more sophisticated. Just frustrated.

Here’s the simple cure for dementia in Washington DC and elsewhere: TERM LIMITS!! No one should be hanging around until old age and dementia impact national security and law making.

Mr. Creosote aka Nadler had lap band surgery reducing his stomach to the size of a cocktail weenie, which deflated him somewhat overall, but he still wears his belt up around his moobs and has to have special 20" zippers installed in his trousers so he doesn't have to take his pants off to relieve himself. His political life has always looked like his personal life ... revolting. As to his incipient dementia, what's the difference between now and twenty years ago? He's just a dishonest, overweight Democrat, full of food and excrement. Like Brandon, he never had much of a brain to lose.

As we have seen, dementia is not a disqualifying condition to be a communist since someone else is pulling the strings anyway.

Nadler has hated Trump for decades. He once went far out of his way to wreck a great deal that Trump had worked out on developing the last large, undeveloped acreage on Manhattan, IIRC the west side RR yard which Trump had obtained ownership or a legal option on. Nadler made a POINT of wrecking the deal just because he hated Trump personally.
Nadler has ALWAYS been a nasty piece of manure. Now he's brain rotted, too? He was always a dimbulb, never very bright, but always mean. Like Traitor Joe.

My ex sister in law was Chief of Staff for US repreentative from deep East Texas. He served for untold years, getting elected and re-elected, sometimes as a D, sometimes as an R, depending on the political winds at the time.
Sister in law wrote his speeches, voted for him when he was unable to do it himself, and handled his office for a decade as he slipped into dementia.
He finally retired when he was in his 90's. He was replaced by another decrepit D who is looking to break his predecessor's dubious longevity record. This one's an R. Sister in law is well-connected and very wealthy lobbyist.
Flame me if you will, but term limits look pretty good to me when I look at the residents of this exclusive nursing home we depend on for our freedom and security. FJB.

Term limits sounds pretty good until you realize that when the politician is termed out, their spouse, child or sibling will run in their place. Kind of like making all drugs legal, sounds good on paper but not so much in real life.

There is a zero possibility/probability of “term limits” ever being a reality. You
The only way out of this is by voting. And, unfortunately, so many Communists and UniPartiers bring home the pork to the district, it is unlikely “term limits” as originally envisioned will ever be implemented.

Term limits are a great idea but no politician is going to vote themselves out of a cushy lifetime job. The longer they serve the more jaded, dishonest, and corrupt they get. At a minimum there needs to be a mandatory retirement age.

Old age/senility is a problem for both parties. A while back, the WSJ had an article about the pharmacy that supplied drugs to Congress and how many were on Alzheimer's drugs. No names of course, and the story dropped like a rock, but it was frightening to realize that our government is in the hands of a pack of geriatrics with signs of dementia to a greater or lesser degree. What is terrifying is that our POTUS is a senile old man who's had multiple brain bleeds, our VPOTUS is a vapid moron, and the Speaker of the House looks either drunk or senile in most of her pressers.

Jerry Nadler is nothing more than an old pathetic fool, like most in the democratic party.

I saw him speaking last night on TV. First thought is Biden must be conagious and not just a variation of COVID. Alzheimers or dementia certainly comes to mind.

Take note of the fact that Carolyn Maloney did not answer the question about Biden!
The repulsive cracker carpetbagger should retire. So should Nadler.

I gotta be honest; I am really getting angry about these senile goofs we have in DC. I’ve always been irked that DC is a makeshift nursing home, but I think Joe Biden’s dementia and the elder abuse going on with that situation has really rubbed me the wrong way, and for the first time I see these elderly politicians for what they truly are: greedy puppets who are being used by outside forces to push an agenda and they don’t care how decrepit and confused they are, or how that impacts the country, they just want to line their pockets and wield power. Here we have these types of confused elderly folks literally deciding life and death things for us, and you gotta wonder what the heck we’re doing, allowing this to go on?
