As we’ve reported, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is in deep trouble in her primary on August 16. She’s 30 points behind her Trump-endorsed challenger, Harriet Hageman. She’s about to get wiped out by historic proportions, by all accounts.
But she does have some Democrats coming out trying to cover her action. She just got an endorsement that’s sure to put her over the top now — disgraced former Democratic senator Al Franken. [Tweet]
I’ll leave the door open to the possibility that this is an attempt at comedy since that’s what Franken is allegedly doing now, since the groping scandal and leaving the Senate.

Jill Biden hit the shops on Kiawah Island Sunday afternoon with her granddaughter Finnegan Biden and daughter-in-law Melissa Cohen.
Images of the first lady shopping with Hunter Biden's wife and daughter were obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.
Members of the first family spent about 30 minutes in Freshfields Village, which is a small shopping center on the island off the South Carolina coast. They spent time in Indigo Books, an independent bookstore; Holly & Brooks, a fashion store; Las Olas, a swimware store; and Tina Stephens, which describes itself as a place for travel-friendly lifestyle wear. Jill was wearing an off-the-shoulder light blue and white striped dress,

Former President Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump, has suggested his son-in-law Jared Kushner could be the mole in the Trump camp who tipped off the FBI about confidential documents that were being held at Mar-a-Lago. Monday's raid was approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland, but it's believed a confidential source first gave information to federal authorities. Speaking with SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah, Mary Trump was asked if she had any idea who the suspect might be.(Snip)'It sounds like somebody in Jared's position. I'm not saying it's Jared, but. It could be,' Trump said with a smile. The $2 billion Mary Trump was referring to

The writer and historian Victor Davis Hanson is one of the most serious thinkers of our time. When he says something, people should listen.
Following the raid on Trump’s Florida home, Hanson is saying that the FBI is beyond redemption. That it cannot and should not be saved in its current form.
To hear Hanson saying this should alarm people. He is not the type of man who engages in outrageous talk. He means this, for real.Victor Hanson: ‘We Don’t Have Rule of Law in Washington … FBI is Beyond Redemption’

If you haven’t yet come to terms with the fact that vile, power-abusing, Left-wing goblins are going to arrest former President Donald Trump, you’ve got your head in the sand. These people are unprincipled cage-fighters animated by their seething lust to destroy Orange Man Bad. Our upper echelon law enforcement has been transformed into an iron fist, and we’ve taken unprecedented blow after unprecedented blow for years now — presidential candidate Trump wiretapped, the Russia Hoax, two impeachments on the flimsiest of grounds, FBI raids of conservative journalists and political enemies (especially those in Trump’s orbit, including his attorneys Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani), and most recently, the reprehensible raid

House GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania revealed Sunday that he was told his life was 'in danger' amid fallout from the FBI's unannounced search of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
Fitzpatrick, a former FBI agent himself, told CBS News' Face The Nation he was threatened by 'some of the same people' who are heaping verbal attacks against federal law enforcement in the wake of the raid.
He also urged lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to 'reserve judgment and not get ahead of yourself' on whether the documents seized by federal officers from Mar-a-Lago meant Trump was guilty of any crimes.

It began with a headache and sore throat one morning at the end of June. Then came a heavy chest that made breathing a struggle, while the headache became so bad that 66-year-old Mio Blagojevic describes it as ‘like having an out-of-body experience’. The property developer from Hertfordshire adds: ‘I’d never felt so ill. It was like I’d been hit by a bus.’ With symptoms like these, this time last year the instant suspicion would have been Covid. But Mio, a keen runner, and his wife Karen had been fully vaccinated and then boosted in January. Due to the severity of Mio’s symptoms, even the GP

The FBI seized boxes containing records covered by attorney-client privilege and potentially executive privilege during its raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News, adding that the Justice Department opposed Trump lawyers’ request for the appointment of an independent, special master to review the records.
Sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News Saturday that the former president’s team was informed that boxes labeled A-14, A-26, A-43, A-13, A-33, and a set of documents—all seen on the final page of the FBI’s property receipt —contained information covered by attorney-client privilege.

Looks like we are going to find out exactly what Joe Manchin’s leverage was over Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer {REMINDER HERE}.
On July 31, According to Manchin the deal between himself, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden includes his support for the current green energy spending, in exchange for two new items in future legislation: 1) Streamlined energy permitting/regulation; and 2) Increased development of Oil, Coal, Gas. (snip) Senator Manchin claimed he has leverage over Biden, Pelosi and Schumer to ensure a new bill with those priorities is created and advanced. Manchin further claimed there were “consequences” for Biden, Pelosi and Schumer if

Immigrants on a Texas bus bound for the Big Apple — which was supposed to go to several cities along the way to let passengers off — threatened to call cops when the driver said they wouldn’t be stopping in Tennessee, The Post has learned.
The charter bus is part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s border initiative.
The Post was in Del Rio, Texas, Friday morning as immigrants boarded the bus which was supposed to stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C., before arriving at its final destination in New York City.

The FBI search warrant authorizing a government raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence sought an exhaustive list of any White House records the president ever came in contact with, according to the document obtained by The Federalist.
Outlining the “property to be seized” by the more than 30 agents who rummaged through the former president’s Mar-a-Lago mansion, the warrant demanded confiscation of any document Trump ever saw, read, or created for the entirety of his four years as commander-in-chief.
(snip)
In other words, had Trump written something down on a napkin, federal officials were authorized to raid the former president’s home and capture it.
