Dick Cheney tears into 'coward' Trump:
Bush's VP calls him biggest 'threat to
the Republic' in 'our nation's 246-year
history' and a 'real man wouldn't lie
to his supporter' in campaign ad for daughter Liz

Dick Cheney eviscerated Donald Trump as the greatest threat to the United States of all time in a new campaign ad for his daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney, who is facing steep primary prospects. 'In our nation’s 246 year history there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our Republic than Donald Trump,' Cheney said in a new clip. The congresswoman brought out her 81-year-old former vice president dad as a last ditch effort to defy recent polling that puts her squarely behind primary rival Harriet Hageman ahead of an Aug. 16 primary.

The time to have your Daddy stop fighting your battles is long past, Liz. We're the same age, and my father told me at 13 that as soon as I, or someone else, had to defend myself--or I had to call someone else's character into question to divert the heat from myself--the fight was over. "Your actions defend you," he told me. "Your character defends you." So put you big girl pants on and deal, Ms. Cheney. Own your own stuff.

Donald Trump opened my eyes to the GOPe and their collusion with the Dems. They pulled the wool over our eyes for many years, promising conservative governance and conspiring with the Dems to allow open borders, rampant government spending, wars in chicken$--- countries, and globalism. For four years, they did everything they could to undermine Trump. Then in 2020, they conspired with the Dems to cover up the voter fraud that was obvious to everyone. They sided with Biteme because he was "one of us" - a full member of uniparty. Well, not anymore. Anyone they hate, I'm for.

Can you taste the acid of desperation in Dick's statement? These people are simply terrified that DJT will get back in office. Their little charade will be cancelled in Trump's next term. Then if we can get DeSantis in right after DJT, the nation MIGHT have a slim chance of surviving. BTW, Dickie boy started us on this spiral with the "Patriot Act" which has resulted in the J6 political prisoners in, of all places, the United States of America. I'll betcha Dick is PROUD of that achievement. May he rot in a hot place when he meets his maker.

He ...of course...HAS to say something to aid his daughter, but she isn't facing Trump in the election, another female LOCAL candidate is who she is contending with, making this advert "from his home in McClain Virginia" doesn't help her against claims that she is the DC carpetbagger whose ideas/allegiances are 'out of touch' with Wyoming and more in line with "out of state" folks(by the way...it looks like she borrows Hillary's Tailor these days as well). He is trying to bait Trump...who should(but likely won't) simply respond 'While I am tempted to take Dick up on his invitation to go quail hunting, larger game is more my thing'. For 12 years of Obama/Biden he had not been seen or heard from, and now these last 2 years Politicians who did everything in their power to tear down this nation, destroy it, overturn every principle this Republic has ever stood for, replacing it with Fidels "vision" he "cowered" in his cave...I once 'respected him', a great deal. In early 1991 Dick Cheney cancelled the USN stealth bomber program. The USN had NO stealth aircraft capability at all until the F-35C finally made it to the fleet in early 2019. So, Cheney personally made sure that the USN had no stealth aircraft capability for almost 30 years. I was always suspicious of Cheney after that. It seemed like intentional sabotage at the time. About the same time, the excellent A-6 Intruder aircraft was started to retire, all gone by 1997 - despite USN spending hundreds of millions to build all new composite carbon fiber wings for the A-6 fleet which would have extended their service life for decades. Yet, they were quickly scrapped. The F-18 "replacement" had such a small bomb load and such short range, and much reduced capabilities in all weather/night bombing compared to the A-6 that the Navy was forced to use their premier interceptor, the F-14 in a bombing role because it could haul a lot more and a lot farther than the early F.A-18s. Later model F/A-18E/Fs had a much improved range and load capacity (much bigger wing) over the early models with their small wing, short range. The E/F models didn't get to the fleet until 2001, ten years after the cancellation of the stealth Grumman Avenger II design by Cheney at SecDef. For decades, USN air capability has been dwindling in range and load hauling. Now, there is reason to believe that more accurate precision guided weapons and the stealthy F-35C have closed this huge capability gap that was created by the dual hits of getting rid of the long range heavy hauler Grumman A-6 Intruder bombers and the cancellation of the stealth bomber follow on Grumman Avenger II. Cheney personally did at least half of that reduction in capability....perhaps he did in the A-6, too, I'm not sure about that one.

Bush and Cheney need to wake up, stop hanging around with haters. Hatred is corrosive, especially so for the brain and heart. We understand a father wanting to support a child, but she's a grown woman and independent. Two stories in the news strike a common chord: the need to stop infantilizing minority, especially black, populations. The first comes from the world of sports and involves the familiar racial hate incident hoax. Briefly, the Duke women’s volleyball team played a match at Brigham Young University, and lost. After the match, the godmother of one of the Duke players, who is black, tweeted that someone in the BYU crowd had yelled the “N-word” at her goddaughter when she was serving. It turned out that she (the godmother) is a virulent anti-white racist (“These white folks ain’t never had they ass kicked, but they better get used to it”).

Michigan Court of Claims Judge Elizabeth Gleicher ruled the state’s 1931 law that bans abortion, triggered by the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, is unconstitutional. Gleicher said the law violates the Michigan Constitution’s Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses. “Despite that men play [a] necessary role in the procreative process, the law deprives only women of their ability to thrive as contributing participants in [the] world outside the home and as parents of wanted children," Gleicher wrote.

A comprehensively corrupt and politically motivated U.S. Justice Department has appealed the part of Judge Cannon’s previous order appointing a special master with authority to review documents the FBI collected at Mar-a-Lago last month. [Appeal for ‘stay’ pdf motion Here] The corrupt and politically motivated Lawfare prosecutors state they have serious concerns about handing government secrets to a third party and will not allow it. In essence, the DOJ-NSD, an agency within the justice department created by Eric Holder, is claiming no one outside the DOJ-NSD should be allowed to review the documents they have defined as “national security” interests.

U.S. District Judge Sarah Merriam dismissed Dr. Bandy Lee’s wrongful termination lawsuit against Yale University. The lawsuit accused Yale of violating Lee’s free speech and professional obligations when she was not reappointed to her role with the school. She claims she was fired over her public statements criticizing then-President Donald Trump and his inner circle. Lee blames her termination on a letter sent to Yale by Trump’s friend Alan Dershowitz. Dr. Lee was not considered a staff member or employee of Yale University. She was a voluntary, unpaid staff member.

Their First Amendment suit has already uncovered intimate cooperation between social media companies and 50-plus federal officials at a dozen agencies or components, including the White House, to flag, throttle and remove purported misinformation about COVID-19, election security and the Hunter Biden laptop story.

A California judge, the scion of a powerful Democratic family, granted an ex-con a mistrial for an alleged violent McDonald’s robbery because he was sleepy in court and couldn’t take proper notes, Fox News Digital has learned. Los Angeles Superior Court Jurist Daniel Lowenthal, whose Democratic congressman father endorsed the city’s embattled top prosecutor George Gascón, made the ruling Wednesday. Vamazae Elgin Banks, 24, was on trial for allegedly pointing a gun at the head of a McDonald’s cashier and threatening to kill her if she didn't hand over cash quickly enough. "Hurry up or I’ll blow your brains out!" Banks allegedly told the victim, court records show.

Ranked-choice voting and mail-in ballots were implemented by referendum in 2020. Republicans allowed this to happen. Now the state is likely lost forever to Democrat cheating and maneuvering.

President Joe Biden’s speech was an attempt to vilify and demean conservatives who do not support his failed policies, Rev. Franklin Graham said Thursday. “Tonight President Biden said that MAGA threatens the very foundation of our republic. Really? I want to see America great again,” he wrote in a Facebook post. (snip) Graham also noted he did not want America turned into a socialist nation: "I don’t want to see it fail. Does believing in freedom, justice, opportunity, less taxes, and smaller government make me an extremist? Absolutely not. The ones who are extremists are the ones who want to take that away from us!"

Last night I got to thinking about how many posts I’ve written for Hot Air. I’ve looked at the total before but it never sticks in my mind. Big numbers seldom do. My guess was 15,000. The reality: 36,590. That’s six per day, every day. For 16 years. My takes may be terrible but I make it up on volume. This post, number 36,591, will be the last. (snip) Lastly, to those who spent the last seven years barking insults at me in the comments for not genuflecting to Trump, I’ll give you this: You’re not phonies. You believe what you say. We have that much in common.

President Joe Biden on Thursday denounced Republican governors as 'unAmerican' for the way they were playing political games with migrants, after more than 100 were dumped outside the vice president's official residence and others were flown to Martha's Vineyard. It marked the latest salvo in an increasingly bitter row over the thousands of people crossing the border daily. Republicans have stepped up their attacks on the Biden administration as they try to make immigration the theme of November's midterm elections. Biden hit back as he addressed the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala. 'Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props,' he said.

Sea level rise is increasing at a dramatic rate. Scientists at the University of Miami warn that if we don't act soon, coastal cities and towns will slowly diminish. Scientists say a few decades from now, downtown Miami will be underwater. The tide is coming in and eventually it's not going to go back out," says Dr. Harold Wanless, a Geologist and Professor of Geography and Sustainable Development at University of Miami. So what does that mean for us? According to Dr. Wanelss's research, by the year 2060, nearly 60% of Miami-Dade county will be underwater.

There has been a creeping meme among some Republican voters indicating that they will refuse to vote because they are fed up with congressional Republicans. They are telling everyone who will listen how horrible congressional Republicans are and are asking, "Why vote when our representatives do nothing and get nothing done?" People who advocate not voting are advocating surrender to the leftist mob and surrender to Democrats who have ruined a perfectly good country. They are recommending surrender to the leftists who are persecuting Republican conservatives. There is no other way to read this: If you won't vote, you turn the reins of what power you have over to Democrats.

The White House said it was the 21st time that the Defense Department has pulled weapons and other equipment off the shelves to deliver to Ukraine. The package will include more of the same types of ammunition and equipment that have helped Ukrainian forces beat back the Russian forces in portions of the east and south.

Respondents to the Annenberg Public Policy Center’s survey also had little understanding of the impact of a Supreme Court ruling, and few could enumerate the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. “My impression is that even in prestigious universities, maybe 30% of all students could pass the civics test required of incoming immigrants,” said Joseph Ellis, a Pulitzer Prize-winning constitutional historian.(Snip)One-quarter of respondents could not name even one branch of the federal government,

Rome—Pope Francis urged Westerners to be more open to immigration Thursday, insisting that it is a necessary antidote to the West’s “demographic winter.” In forgetting how to welcome migrants, the West lost much, because it “needs people,” the pontiff told reporters during his return flight from Kazakhstan to Rome. Especially considering the “demographic winter,” which is so evident in Spain and Italy. “In Italy there are empty villages with just twenty old ladies and nothing else,” he said. “Why can’t we make a policy in the West where immigrants are included with the principle that the migrant should be welcomed, accompanied, promoted, and integrated?” he asked.

“The documents were declassified!” “Trump had every right keep them!” “They posed no risk to national security!” Conservatives have been defending Trump with these kinds of arguments ever since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago last month. Seeking to prove that Trump did nothing wrong in possessing these documents is like trying to establish that the victims of Stalin’s show trials weren’t in fact Trotskyites. Well, of course they weren’t. But Stalin didn’t care if his enemies – perceived or real – were Trotskyites or “counter-revolutionaries.” What mattered to him was that they were his enemies.

A person can make a compelling case that dropping unsuspecting migrants off in places like Chicago or San Francisco is cruel, but Martha’s Vineyard? Isn’t it more humane to send migrants to well-heeled communities than to allow them to live in “squalor” in makeshift tent cities under highway overpasses? Because I rarely hear the left worry about the latter. Then again, why has a story about 50 migrants spending a couple of days on Martha’s Vineyard garnered far more coverage and outrage from left media and punditry media than 51 migrants being cooked alive in a tractor-trailer only last month? Why is it barely news that officials dumped 1,000 migrants into
