White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is rapidly building a reputation for herself as the high priestess of ill-preparedness.
“I would have to get back to you on that” is her typical reply to even the most elementary of questions.
She also isn't exactly an adept wordsmith. If she continues down this path, perhaps someday she may surpass Kamala Harris.
Just yesterday, Joe Biden signed an executive order that ensures access to abortion for women following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade (1973).
Biden said the order helps women travel out of state to receive abortions, ensuring that health care providers comply with federal law

Isn't this rich? Joe Biden is a Catholic and how many Catholics support this hypocrite? The pope should be ex-communicating this person. Oh, I get it - ex-communication is for the peasants. . .

As to whether Jean-Pierre is qualified to opine on the Constitutionality of anything, I don’t have to get back to you: _________(insert preferred pronoun) isn’t.

Is KJP a fool promoted far beyond her meager talents? Yes. Is she attempting to brazen it out because she actually believes she's clever? Yes again. Do the people feeding her canned lines think she's clever? Absolutely not.
Stock rant: the WH press corps are an anachronism from the days of trains, telegraphs & steamships when a gaggle of reporters had to be near the president to dispatch news about him in a somewhat timely fashion. That is obviously no longer the case. Even Peter Doocy and Fox won't admit it but these 'briefings' are a silly pantomime with just two purposes: 1) Dissemination of propaganda under the rubric of news and 2) Providing cable & network news with sound bites they can use as grist for the debate mill as they desperately attempt to fill 24 hrs of programming.
That said, this line of reasoning from anyone - KJP, Biden etc. - is bizarre because is it anachronistic. The abortion horse has bolted at the federal level thanks to the Dobbs ruling. Whether the barn door is closed or not is a moot argument. As we know, calling something a 'constitutional right' doesn't make it so - especially when actual constitutional rights are written in ink on paper.
Democrats had half a century to 'codify Roe.' Did they do it? No. Did they even try? No again. Call it a combination of arrogance and laziness but most of them assumed the Roe ruling would stand as 'settled law' forever. And, frankly, it was much more lucrative to raise funds by inciting panic about Roe being struck down than it would have been to raise funds by claiming to protect a particular federal law. It just doesn't have the same urgency. And, of course, protecting Roe was a premise for character assassination of nominees like Thomas, Bork, Kavanaugh et al.
Which returns us to the intractable problem: passing a law on a topic *the court has already ruled on* is risky at best and probably a hiding to nothing at worst. If Congress decides to implement school segregation tomorrow will it pass judicial review? No. Would it be challenged via lawsuit immediately? Yes. The same would apply to a law passed banning gay marriage. Even we support such a law its chances are slim in the wake of Obergefell (despite that decision's extremely shaky justification). To be fair, some rulings have been reversed (eg Plessy) but that was Court action, not Congress. That leaves only a Constitutional amendment which even the dimmest Democrat knows has no chance of even being considered.
This is repetitious, unimaginative rhetoric born of anger, desperation and sloth.

So would she say that overturning Dred Scott was unconstitutional? Or are all Supreme Court decisions set in stone - period?

This is the unintended result of systemic racism ( Affirmative Action). People passed through school because teachers want to make up for past discrimination. The result is an uneducated boob that liberals are hard pressed to call out because of her color or sex. Meanwhile the countries that we are up against chuckle as they press the merit system.

Will women receive reimbursement for travel? Won't that create opportunities for fraud? What proof of abortion will the woman need for reimbursement? The aborted fetus? (If no proof is needed, will there be some women who are not pregnant, who con the government into paying for a free vacation in another state? Will reimbursement be available only to the nearest abortion state, or will the woman have wide latitude in selecting the State to kill her unborn baby? Hawaii, I believe, is expected to be available for the procedure. So is California. Will a pregnant woman from a no-abortion state be tempted to choose one of those states? And will the states be allowed to offer enhancement, like casinos do, to attract the business? Freedom of choice, after all, belongs to the pregnant woman.
Or will the government provide the actual mode of transportation? If so, will the government buy vehicles and name them 'blood buses?'
(I'm not being silly here, just thinking like an arbitrator who handled federal government cases involving travel reimbursement.)

You would think that a White House press secretary would have a minimal understanding of the Constitution and who determines what is and isn't constitutional, but in affirmative action hire Jean-Pierre we have stupidity cubed.

She’s black.

What state law promises prosecution for traveling to another state? And how would the state with the law necessarily even know if the woman was pregnant?
This is a "Straw Man" tactic. And what federal agency is he issuing this executive order to? Because state governments and individual citizens are not subject to executive orders.
