Biden calls himself ‘vice president’

President Biden referred to himself as “vice president” Thursday while lamenting his inability to buy an electric Corvette — in the latest job title mixup from the commander-in-chief. “I’m not going to be able to do it because I can’t drive a vehicle while I’m vice president,” Biden said during a virtual meeting with General Motors CEO Mary Barra. Biden, who already owns a 1967 Corvette Stingray, quickly corrected himself, adding, “while I’m president.” GM plans to release a Corvette Hybrid as early as 2023 followed by a fully electric model, according to US News & World Report.

How did he acquire the 1967 Corvette? It was new, and a wedding gift from Biden's father - that would be the father who struggled with poverty and job loss Where did the father get the Corvette? He owned a Chevy dealership in Delaware. How can you reconcile Dementia Jo's Scranton poverty stories, with Dad owning a Chevy dealership? You can't, so just write it off to Dementia Jo's lies.

The talk in the media is about a “beefed-up” IRS. The IRS budget for FY 2022 totals nearly $14 billion ($11.9 billion in appropriated funds) with a full-time equivalent (FTE) staff ceiling of 79,808 (75,533 from appropriated funding.) Now, the Democrat-controlled Congress, at the behest of the Biden Administration, wants to take that up an additional almost $80 billion, with 1% going to Department of the Treasury offices other than the IRS. That adds up to nearly $93 billion, seven times this year’s budget. SEVEN TIMES.

Since Dr. Mehmat Oz won the GOP nomination in Pennsylvania to run for the state’s open senate seat, he’s been running one of the most tepid campaigns I’ve ever seen. His opponent, Democrat John Fetterman, suffered a stroke last May after admittedly ignoring his doctor for years and hasn’t been seen on the campaign trail since. Despite those obvious issues surrounding Fetterman’s health, Oz has attempted to take the high road. Predictably, Fetterman hasn’t returned the favor and has been viciously attacking Oz as being from New Jersey on social media. In fact, the Democrat’s entire campaign has been to make that charge over and over.

Republican border-state governors are sending busloads of illegal entrants — released in their states by the Department of Homeland Security — to DC and New York City, prompting recriminations and pleas for federal cash from the Democratic mayors of those erstwhile immigrant-friendly cities. Those mayors, seemingly unwittingly, are making the governors’ point — that the administration has created a disaster at the US-Mexico line, requiring an immediate policy shift to protect lives and state and local finances. It started in April. Fed up with federal releases of large numbers of migrants into overwhelmed small towns in his state (including Uvalde), Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) began

The January 6 Committee has promised since the start of their hearings that they would produce the evidence to nail President Donald Trump. But as anyone can tell you, all they’ve produced is bad television that people have been avoiding like the plague because they know it’s a biased witch hunt. But after nine hearings, they have not produced evidence to support criminal charges, according to George Washington law school professor Jonathan Turley. As he notes, even former prosecutor (and Senator) Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) thought it would be “very tough” to get an indictment legally. Instead, what we’ve gotten is a witch hunt “show trial” with a controlled Democratic effort,

Indiana's legislature became the first in the nation on Friday to pass new legislation restricting access to abortions since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Other states have already banned abortion, thanks to pre-existing 'trigger laws' that went into effect when Roe was repealed, but Indiana is the first to usher in a new law. The measure now goes to Republican Governor Eric Holcomb, who has not indicated whether he will sign it. The ban includes limited exceptions, including in cases of rape and incest, and to protect the life and physical health of the mother.

A cloud of thick smoke hangs over the occupied city of Kherson in Ukraine. Its very stench is evidence of Russian war crimes, on a scale almost too sickening to contemplate. The smoke comes from mobile incinerators that are running night and day. Vladimir Putin's paranoid soldiers are burning the corpses of Ukrainian citizens tortured and murdered on suspicion of helping the resistance. And they are dispatching the bodies of their own comrades too — hundreds of them. The Russians are killed by the constant pounding of Ukrainian shells from artillery placements surrounding the city and by highly organised, secret units of freedom fighters.

When WNBA star Brittney Griner was convicted on drug charges Thursday, she was not merely sentenced to nine years in a normal jail or prison. She was given time in a Russian penal colony, which is quite different than a normal correctional facility. Russia's penal colonies are descendants of the notorious Soviet-era gulags where prisoners have been subjected to harsh treatment and poor conditions. Prisoners in the system have been beaten by other inmates, endured torture and forced to watch Russian propaganda for hours every day in what's known as "awareness raising." Following several days of Griner's trial, which stemmed
