Not even Joe Biden’s allies on Capitol Hill bought the nonsense excuses he slung today while announcing an embargo on Russian oil imports. Biden claimed that high gas prices resulted from oil-producers gouging consumers, and denied entirely that he had restricted production: Really? Exactly one week ago, Biden didn’t appear to be too interested in such domestic production. His administration rolled over on a court decision to block drilling leases in the Gulf of Mexico, the Washington Post reported, and pointed out numerous other actions taken by Biden to curtail exploration and production:
The Biden administration will not challenge a federal court ruling that it did not sufficiently consider climate change

This Morning Consult/Politico poll has Joe Biden at 45% approval, 51% disapproval, with a plurality of 39% strongly disapproving. That is pretty typical of recent polling. What is interesting is how respondents answered the other questions about Biden.
When asked whether they agree with the statement that Biden is a weak leader, 54% said yes and 39% said no. That means that a fair number of people claim to approve of Biden’s job performance even though they think he is weak.
When asked whether they agree that Biden is energetic, 37% said yes–they were lying–and 54% said no. Again, quite a few people who acknowledge that Biden lacks

Florida's new law expanding parental rights bans sexual orientation and gender discussions in kindergarten through 3rd-grade classrooms (four- to eight-year-olds), deeming them developmentally inappropriate. Democrats charged Florida with murderous homophobia and transphobia and coined the catchphrase "Don't Say Gay" to describe the law. This is dishonest because that's not what the bill does. As if to demonstrate that they have no good argument against the bill, Democrats protested the law's passage by saying "gay." Yup. That's their argument.
Here's the language that has Democrats in such an uproar:

Ha-Ha-Ha… Oh, the Biden administration is not happy with Poland. Not happy at all.
Earlier this afternoon, Poland called Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s bluff, over the U.S. claims that Poland was going to send fighter jets into Ukraine. This followed Sunday’s announcement where Poland said the U.S. State Dept was lying.
Earlier today, Poland said they would give the U.S. the planes if Blinken and Biden wanted to start World War III, but Poland wasn’t going to help the U.S. create a war with Russia. This put the U.S. in a ‘put up or shut up’ position.

Whenever a leftist celebrity makes an idiotic statement, I wonder whether it’s just stupidity on their part or underlying evil machinations. I suspect it’s a combination of both. Certainly, these rich, spoiled ignoramuses have no clue as to how the world really works. Rising prices make nary a dent in their bottom line, so what do they know about economic hardship? However, there is most certainly an element of shadow forces dictating their thinking – and useful idiot pawns like late night hosts are the perfect vehicle for indoctrinating the masses.

Federal prosecutors unsealed charges Tuesday against a woman who ran what they called a “Russian propaganda center” in New York, trying to inject Moscow’s viewpoint into American politics. Elena Branson is charged with acting as an unregistered agent for a foreign power, as well as visa fraud and lying to the FBI. The Justice Department said she left the U.S. for Russia in 2020, and remains at large.
Prosecutors said her organization, Russian Center New York, was funded by the Russian government and took direction from high-ranking officials in Moscow. Given those connections, she was supposed to have registered as a foreign lobbyist, the government says.

Washington President Joe Biden's urgent global search for help shutting off Russia's oil revenues is leading, in some instances, to regimes he once sought to isolate or avoid.
Biden administration officials traveled to Venezuela over the weekend for talks on potentially allowing the country to sell its oil on the international market, helping to replace Russian fuel. Biden may travel to Saudi Arabia as the US works to convince the kingdom to increase its production. And a looming nuclear deal could bring significant volumes of Iranian oil back to the market.

Other grandiose lies used to achieve that result include America being systemically racist; that violent crime is the result of racism and poverty; men give birth; sex and gender are “nonbinary”; and that former President Donald Trump was a Russian asset.
It should now be obvious that the “Greens,” the environmentalist movement — not global warming —

Believe it or not, in my own lifetime a politician who left office disgraced by scandal and poor performance would at least feign having been chastened by the experience. Occasionally an official in that position really would be chastened and would turn over a new leaf; John Profumo in the UK is one famous example, Charles Colson in the U.S. is another. Whatever their personal sense of remorse, though, it used to be that if someone was driven out of public life by self-humiliation you could expect them to stay out as a tacit admission that they’d broken the public’s trust and were no longer fit for office.

Sometimes I feel sorry for Barack Obama. Though we grew up in the same era — indeed, were born less than two months apart — he had a very different upbringing. The title of his first autobiography says it all: Dreams from My Father.
Unlike young Barack, I was blessed with a present father who took an active hand in raising me — a hand that, on rare occasions, wielded an old wooden paddle. I got a lot more than just dreams from my father. I received love, affection, counsel, discipline, and direction.

The People's Convoy is now larger than ever after three separate freedom convoy caravans came together to make a unified lap around the DC Beltway Tuesday while protest organizers meet with legislators on Capitol Hill.Around 2,500-3,000 trucks have now joined forces for a circuit of the section of Interstate 495 which encircles the US capital. The protest swelled as its leaders outlined an expanded list of demands, and received recognition from one of America's best-known conservative lawmakers. Ten members of the convoy are meeting with Senators Ted Cruz, of Texas and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin on Tuesday to 'discuss the harmful effects of President Biden's vaccine mandates'

Vice President Kamala Harris once again had Americans scratching their heads over her latest remarks that seemed to have something to do with the grand utopian vision of the Green New Deal but, as usual, left people guessing.During a Monday event to promote one of the Biden administration’s top domestic priorities of conversion to “clean” energy, particularly electric vehicles, the space cadet who is a heartbeat away from the presidency once again drifted off into strange word salad that as has been her trademark, invoked lofty rhetoric of a better future without providing any real details on what it was that she was trying to express.

The three-month nickel contract leapt 90% to trade above $55,000 a metric ton on the London Metal Exchange, according to pricing from Bloomberg. President Joe Biden will announce a ban on Russian energy on Tuesday following relentless pressure from Republican and Democratic lawmakers in a move that could send gas prices even higher. Calls to act have mounted since late last month when Russia's authoritarian leader Vladimir Putin ordered an unprovoked and bloody invasion of Ukraine.European allies, who rely far more on the Kremlin's energy exports, are reportedly not joining the ban but were consulted by US officials, Bloomberg first reported. On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) argued that in order to undermine Russia’s power, we have to “end our dependence on oil and have the world transition to renewable energy.” Because Russia will be able to sell oil as long as there’s demand for oil, and called for a “climate emergency.”
Merkley said, “As long as there is a world market for oil, Russia will be able to sell its oil. And so, unfortunately, not all my colleagues yet understand that the way to undercut the power of Russia is to end our dependence on oil and have the world transition to renewable energy.”

President Joe Biden's response to the Russia-Ukraine war has boosted his popularity, yet pollsters warn that the reprieve may be brief before November's midterm elections.
The bloody conflict between Russia and Ukraine, half a world away, has created "a short-term bottom" for public opinion of Biden, according to Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos.
"Prior to the State of the Union address, approval ratings in the high 30s were a regular occurrence," the Suffolk University Political Research Center director told the Washington Examiner. "Since the State of the Union, Biden's approval has settled into the low to mid-40s, suggesting a short-term bump."

The Lincoln Project is a scandal-plagued super PAC dedicated to supporting President Joe Biden and helping Democrats win elections. In October 2021, for example, Lincoln Project operatives dressed as neo-Nazis crashed a Glenn Youngkin campaign event in a misguided effort to besmirch the Republican candidate for governor of Virginia. Nevertheless, mainstream media outlets continue to portray the Lincoln Project and its senior members as "Republicans" or "right-of-center" pundits whose opinions actually matter, or are substantively different from those of a generic liberal pundit. (They aren't; they don't; they aren't.)

Since Russia invaded the Ukraine, the U.S. news media has focused nearly exclusively on the war underway. Wars are attention-grabbers, so news coverage makes sense.
