Florida's new law expanding parental rights bans sexual orientation and gender discussions in kindergarten through 3rd-grade classrooms (four- to eight-year-olds), deeming them developmentally inappropriate. Democrats charged Florida with murderous homophobia and transphobia and coined the catchphrase "Don't Say Gay" to describe the law. This is dishonest because that's not what the bill does. As if to demonstrate that they have no good argument against the bill, Democrats protested the law's passage by saying "gay." Yup. That's their argument. A completely new or alternative meaning to don’t ask, don’t tell might perhaps now be in effect in a Dallas-area school district.
Some teachers or other employees (a.k.a. guardians) are allowed to have guns on campus in the 1,100-student Grand Saline Independent School District under a concealed carry program the school board calls the Guardian Plan that is just in week two of implementation. It is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for students, as the superintendent outlined in a Facebook post.

The national average price for diesel fuel on Wednesday reached an all-time record high, impacting 3.5 million American truckers throughout the nation.
Rising 84 cents in one week, Wednesday’s national average hit $4.883, up 13 cents overnight, according to AAA.
Diesel transports about 70 percent of the nation’s freight tonnage, as just about all highway trucks are fueled by diesel engines, according to Diesel Technology Forum. About 3.5 million truck drivers and 711,000 trucking companies rely on diesel.
The record-high diesel prices will likely increase the cost of everyday products, such as clothing, produce, paper products, building materials, and vehicles.
The impact on everyday items will also increase the record-high inflation.
Joe Biden has been pushing the virtue of everyone having an electric vehicle. As we previously reported, he even argued that loosening the restrictions on oil production wasn’t the solution to rising gas prices or oil volatility from the Russian war on Ukraine, but people getting electric vehicles was. That comment was of course delusional – that it’s not possible to change – and for everyone to suddenly just to get electric vehicles, when so many are strapped just keeping up with Biden’s rising prices for everything, and electric vehicle are dependent on coal and fossil fuels. [Tweet]

Kathy Hochul made headlines recently by announcing the FAST NY Shovel-Ready Grant Program, which promises up to $200 million to attract high-tech industry, especially semiconductor manufacturers, to New York by developing potential sites statewide. The release cites the White Pine Commerce Park in Onondaga County, which Hochul visited this year (bringing along Sen. Chuck Schumer and US Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves) to tout efforts to lure a chip-maker there with huge amounts of state and federal money.
But Hochul doesn’t mention that the White Pine site she wants to offer up to the semiconductor manufacturer is far from “shovel-ready” — in fact, it’s already taken.

The advancement of the America-First policy agenda in Washington has been ground down to a halt due to ineffective leadership and Republican infighting within the House of Representatives. This party disunity has left a leadership vacuum that has given progressives in Washington a window to pursue the failed Biden agenda and spend trillions of dollars in the process, leaving future generations of Americans to pay the price.

In Democrat cities across America, the word is out: it's time for masks to go...except on children. Teachers' unions are adamant that it's just better for those kids to keep hiding their faces. It's a mystery to me why this is, but it's clear that these people should not be allowed in classrooms because they must really dislike children.

The Transportation Security Administration is extending a federal requirement that travelers wear masks on airplanes, at airports, on trains and buses through April 18, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday.
The mandate was set to expire on March 19. An extension of the mandate comes as the Biden administration, cities and states have rolled back mask mandates and other pandemic policies elsewhere as Covid cases drop.
