Florida's GOP-dominated legislature passed the controversial 'Don't Say Gay Bill' Tuesday which forbids instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through third grade.The move came despite heavy criticism from Democrats and backlash from students and LGBTQ advocates who organized walk outs and protests.The proposal, sponsored by Rep. Joe Harding, now moves to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis, who is expected to sign it into law. Harding had voiced concerns that coming out as gay was becoming 'a trend' for children.
