California Reparations Committee Can’t

California’s state panel on “reparations” for slavery postponed a decision on who should qualify for compensation—whether only the descendants of slaves, or all people of color, based on the idea that the United States suffers from “systemic racism.”(Snip)When the Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans launched in 2021, one member claimed that black Americans were treated as badly in California as they were in the South in the years after the Civil War. However, the question of who should qualify for reparations remained unanswered as the committee began. “California Secretary of State Shirley Weber has told the reparations task force to prioritize

So, where are they getting the money for reparations? How do you tax just White people? Just give it to the democrat party cause that's where it's going to end up anyway after the lawyers take their 20%.

A more important question is "who is 'black?' What percentage of 'black' blood will qualify you as black?' Let's say I'm 1/24 black - do I get 40 acres and a mule? And are they going to take it away from me to give it to me? Just wondering. . .

What about all the blacks who have treated other blacks terribly? Look at all the black on black crime. Are whites supposed to ante up for that also. And don't say that they wouldn't be killing each other if they lived in Africa because all you have to do is read the newspapers from Africa to see how well they are getting along with each other. Left-wing idiots don't have enough constructive things to think about so they come up with this destructive reasoning.

I'm completely against reparations but here's a thought, only give this reparation money to people who work. People who are on government welfare programs, especially those recipients who have been on the dole for generations get nothing as they've been receiving reparations for decades now. This should stir the pot.

The test is EXTREMELY simple. If you can prove that YOU, personally were ever sold into slavery, you deserve reparations. If not, you deserve NOTHING. Since the slaves were freed in 1864, IIRC, if you were born a slave for a week, you would have to be 157 years old. I'm betting there are no folks who qualify. Nobody else qualifies. NOT ONE PERSON.
