Penzey's Spices, the Milwaukee-based company that held "Republicans are Racist Weekend" sale on Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend earlier this month, is now dealing with a massive loss of customers and is now all but begging for new business. "After starting the year with All Republicans are Republicans and following up with Republicans are Racists we’ve set a nice little Boycott Penzeys! surge in motion," Penzey's CEO Bill Penzey said in an email to customers Friday. "It certainly wasn’t unexpected, but if it’s within your means, you picking up a small stack of Gift Cards would help."

- U.S. Senator Mitt Romney, a leading Republican critic of former President Donald Trump, will help raise money for Representative Liz Cheney, who is fighting for political survival after voting to impeach Trump and contesting his false stolen-election claims. Romney is the featured guest at a March 14 fundraiser for Cheney at the home of Bobbie Kilberg, a well-connected Virginia Republican

A report from a conservative think tank warns that this could be a test run for such data collection on a broader scale by the Biden administration, which is compiling a list of those workers at a little-known federal agency who have requested vaccine exemptions for religious reasons. In a notice quietly issued on Tuesday, The Pretrial Services Agency of the District of Columbia quietly announced the establishment of the “Employee Religious Accommodation Request Information System” (“ERARIS”), which “maintains personal religious information collected in response to religious accommodation requests for religious exception from the federally mandated vaccination requirement.”

Sen. Mitt Romney on Sunday said President Joe Biden was not elected to "transform America." Romney said people who backed Biden "were looking to get back to normal" and "stop the crazy." The senator said Biden's latest voting-rights speech was not helpful in forging bipartisanship. Sen. Mitt Romney on Sunday dinged President Joe Biden's governing approach, arguing that the longtime Democratic lawmaker was elected to restore a sense of normality to government and was not put into office to "transform" the country
You Have Been Warned: Hillary is Back replies

Standing in front of livestock at the 2016 Iowa State Fair, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton chortled, “I’m back!” But she was dead serious. Now, despite Joe Biden’s unlikely intentions to run for a second term, Hillary is back again – as if ambition would ever let her leave. Five years younger than Biden, Hillary has no intention of being an old soldier who just fades away. Ever since her college years at Wellesley, she has harbored political ambitions. And when her husband landed in the White House, her dream of becoming the first female president of the United States took serious hold.
The Supreme Court’s Ruling On Vaccine
Mandates Is Frighteningly Weak

It’s long been axiomatic in the legal profession that tough facts make bad law. Yesterday’s forked decisions from the Supreme Court in two vaccine mandate cases now add a corollary to that principle: Quick cases make milquetoast opinions. The Supreme Court heard the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Medicare/Medicaid mandate cases in tandem on an expedited basis last Friday. Although court observers expected lightning-fast decisions, the opinions in National Federation of Independent Business v. Department of Labor and Biden v. Missouri didn’t drop until Jan. 13.

Nancy Pelosi's son was involved in five companies probed by federal agencies – but has never been charged himself, a DailyMail.com investigation reveals. A shocking paper trail shows Paul Pelosi Jr.'s connections to a host of fraudsters, rule-breakers and convicted criminals. His years-long repeated business dealings raise two troubling questions Nancy's son has been unable to answer: why did he get mixed up with such unsavory characters over and over, and how involved was he with the criminal investigations into his fraudster colleagues?

Sen. Ron Johnson is not planning his Senate retirement anytime soon. The Wisconsin lawmaker is running for reelection, he announced this week, at which the corrupt media predictably came out, guns blazing. CNN’s Chris Cillizza, for instance, announced that the “Senate’s leading conspiracy theorist is running for another term,” and The Nation ran an article calling him an “off-the-deep-end” senator.

Following an attack by former President Donald Trump, Sen Mitt Romney defended fellow Republican Sen. Mike Rounds of South Dakota on Monday for accurately stating that the 2020 election was fair and that Trump “did not win.” In an appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” Rounds was asked what he thought of the members of his party who bought into Trump's disproven claim that his loss was attributable to voter fraud. “We looked — as a part of our due diligence, we looked at over 60 different accusations made in multiple states,” Rounds responded. “While there were some irregularities,

Late December, the New York Times reported {LINK} that South Dakota Senator John Thune, the heir apparent to Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, was considering retiring because the Trump influence, the MAGA base, was not in alignment with his corporate and Wall Street donor class worldview. Those who have watched closely know Senator Mitch McConnell has positioned Senator Thune to take over in the Senate (zipper problems not withstanding). The Machiavellian purpose of the positioning is to put Thune in place as a line of defense to protect the interest of the political establishment and the aligned Fourth Branch of Government.

It’s sometimes like pulling teeth, but the nation is making fitful progress toward COVID sanity. Here in New York, Gov. Hochul and (especially) Mayor Adams are refusing to panic amid the Omicron wave, as their teams offer ever more good sense and better information. Glimmers of sanity are even showing in President Biden’s orbit. Plenty of idiocy remains, even on the Supreme Court, where Friday’s hearing on Biden’s vaccine mandate for most US businesses brought some huge whoppers from the liberal wing.
