Police bodycam video raises new questions
about DUI arrest of Allen West's wife

Body cam footage shows Dallas police asked Texas GOP chairman Allen West's wife Angela to move her car with a 3-month old baby inside during a traffic stop last summer, a request experts say directly undercuts the officers' claims they suspected she was driving drunk. The video, obtained by Just the News under an open records request, also shows officers administered Angela West a breathalyzer and expressed surprise it did not show her above the legal limit, but then omitted the existence of that test from the official police report they filed before all charges were dropped by prosecutors. Dallas city council is in the defund the police camp I believe. Is dallas now using the instrumentalities of government for political attacks? It’s obviously not a racial attack since the victim is Republican.

You cannot back the blue when the blue is as corrupt as the Deep State. Something is very fishy within the Dallas Police Dept. Gov. Abbott should order the Texas Rangers to investigate the DPD.

Watching the video gave me a whole new perspective on the caliber of police officers we're hiring. Like a carpenter looking for nails to pound. In the video, Mrs West seems completely sober and in control. However the arresting officer seemed confused and amateurish. Not a good look.

I suspect this was all to ruin a good man named Allen and keep him out of the governor's office. After Ted Cruz opened the door regarding attacking fellow candidate's wives in attack ads, the democrats and more liberal of the GOP sure jumped into the barrel and started doing this themselves. I disagree with #1, since liberals did this, it very well could have been a racist attack against a good black man. Look at what Cali did to Larry Elder when he ran. Some states just do not want a minority for a governor. They don't care that West or Elder could be very qualified and could run the states well. They have other priorities right now.

I gently disagree with you #4 about Ted Cruz attacking Trump's wife in an ad. That was done by an outside group not affiliated with Senator Cruz. Cruz got a bad rap on that thanks to the evil MSM. Lies go around the world before Truth gets off its feet.

Pure politics. The Dallas chief of police should now be on somebody's list for replacement as soon as it becomes politically possible. This very likely was ordered from the top.

This is an old story. West's wife did a remarkable job of avoiding entrapment by the Dallas Police Dept. The officer questioning her should be fired, and the DPD disciplined for not doing it.

Political harassment? Only if we use the media's definition of "random". Otherwise, this is war. if we refuse to recognize this war then we are certain to lose it.

Under pressure from a veto-proof majority in Congress, Joe Biden loudly announced a cutoff of energy purchases from Russia, amounting to about 7% of U.S. energy imports. "Russian oil will no longer be accepted at U.S. ports — and the American people will deal another powerful blow against Putin’s war machine," he tweeted. (Snip for tweet) Russia had been sending about 600,000 barrels of oil a day to the states in a big export surge, following Biden's bans on federal leases for drilling, halt to the Keystone XL pipeline, and other measures intended to bankrupt Big Oil in the name of "going green."

As bad as Joe Biden and his wretched allies in Europe are, they aren't anywhere near the level of trouble that Vladimir Putin is, as the latter's war on Ukraine drags on with no results. Putin has not only not won his war, he's now in hock to China, as another Chinese puppet-string actor, which is a wretched booby prize to succor. China's help is likely to provide some comfort to Putin's economy in Russia for now, but it leaves Putin in roughly the same position as Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, who only stays in power due to Russia's patronage. Richard Fernandez, via Twitter, has some observations:

Joe Biden is in a bind. Like everything else, he's blown it. Energy prices have gone through the roof, with gasoline prices at the pump pushing $6.00 a gallon in San Diego alone. They're expected to get higher, and each tic upward takes Joe down another notch in the polls. Biden has throttled U.S. capacity to produce its own energy by ending to domestic drilling leases on federal lands. He's also scuppered the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada. In place of that domestic and Canadian energy, we now buy Russian oil, some 600,000 barrels a day -- which just happens to finance Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine.

Liz Cheney's Jan. 6 commission is starting to look stupid. Like the clown's outfit that tried to pin impeachment articles on President Trump over utterly nothing, as well as the grotesque fabulists of the Steele dossier who invented and peddled outright lies to manipulate U.S. law enforcement into taking action against Trump, there's no there there, zero substance, and as the truth gets out, they once again look like an awfully sorry bunch. Is the needle finally moving? Seems the election takeover by Mark Zuckerberg's minions in Wisconsin has now been declared 'bribery' by Wisconsin's special counsel, who was appointed to investigate the state's 2020 election. According to the Federalist: Nearly $9 million in Zuckerberg grant funds directed solely to five Democratic strongholds in Wisconsin violated the state’s election code’s prohibition on bribery. That conclusion represents but one of the many troubling findings detailed in the report submitted today by a state-appointed special counsel to the Wisconsin Assembly. Last August, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos

It's the easiest thing in the world: cut off Russia's oil earnings and watch its war against Ukraine collapse. A U.S. oil embargo on Russia would destroy its cash stream which is financing 30% of its government, including its attack on Ukraine. In a war, at least one you want to win, you cut off supply lines. Grant and Sherman understood this. But General Biden is a little different. He wants to keep Putin getting that money until Bad America reforms to a green energy system to his liking. He has a live war in front of him; he has the solution on the table;

What a sorry picture from the same country that once seated the great Ronald Reagan and the great Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Ukraine is fighting back. And that for one must startle Vladimir Putin, who seems to have expected another Afghanistan-style takeover, the way the Taliban did it -- the Taliban marching in, the the local president loading up his money and flying off without a fight, and the boldest locals cramming onto U.S. waiting jets. Few fought back in that one and the disaster speaks for itself. We don't see that in Ukraine. The U.S. offered Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a flight out and he refused it. President Biden’s announcement that the United States will ban imports of Russian oil caused the price of crude to surge on Tuesday morning. However, the pain that Americans are set to feel at the gas pump could eventually be offset if Congress were to pass Biden’s Build Back Better agenda, a new study finds. An analysis released Tuesday by the nonpartisan think tank Energy Innovation finds that the climate change provisions of Biden’s now-defunct proposal, such as tax credits for buying new electric vehicles, would have reduced U.S. oil consumption by 2025 by half of the roughly 200,000 barrels of crude oil from Russia
