The US is working on a plan “to destroy the Black Sea Fleet” with powerful missiles in order to unblock Ukraine’s ports, according to a high-ranking Ukrainian official. “The effective work of the Ukrainians on warships convinced (the US) to prepare a plan to unblock the ports,” Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs adviser Anton Geraschchenko tweeted Friday. “Deliveries of powerful anti-ship weapons (Harpoon and Naval Strike Missile with a range of 250-300 km) are being discussed.” Geraschchenko’s saber-rattling tweet—notably written in Russian—followed an exclusive report by Reuters saying the White House is in the process of putting more advanced missiles in the hands of Ukrainians

Netflix is doing something other companies are proving to have difficulty doing…learning.
If you get woke, there’s a 99 percent chance you’re going to go broke and Netflix saw the signs. Not that they were hard to read. The public overwhelmingly didn’t approve of “Cuties,” the movie that featured underage girls dancing in provocative ways. They were also forced to cancel the live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop” after three weeks.
Most importantly, they saw how the left attempted to launch a full-scale war against Dave Chappelle after he had dared make fun of the holiest of the leftist holies, and the public overwhelmingly sided with the comedian while the leftist’s pet

On Thursday, Republicans introduced legislation dubbed a “Women’s Bill of Rights” that Democrats won’t like at all.
Why not? Democrats claim to be advocates of women’s rights and gender equality, so why wouldn’t they support a “Women’s Bill of Rights”?
Because the legislation proposed would enshrine into law protections for biological females—without including men who “identify” as women.
“I am proud to introduce the Women’s Bill of Rights to affirm the importance of acknowledging women and their unique and distinguishing characteristics and contributions to our nation,” Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz) told Fox News Digital Thursday. “As the Left continues to erase women

President Joe Biden’s approval rating dipped to the lowest point of his presidency in May, a new poll shows, with deepening pessimism emerging among members of his own Democratic Party.
Only 39% of U.S. adults approve of Biden’s performance as president, according to the poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Research, dipping from already negative ratings a month earlier.
Overall, only about 2 in 10 adults say the U.S. is heading in the right direction or the economy is good, both down from about 3 in 10 a month earlier. Those drops were concentrated among Democrats,

WASHINGTON, DC — Former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann denied he was “representing a client” when he gave the CIA faulty data linking Donald Trump to Russia — and appeared “frustrated” that officials weren’t taking the information seriously, two former agency employees testified Friday.
One ex-spy — identified in court only as “Kevin P.” — recalled that he and a colleague met with Sussmann at CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., in February 2017, shortly after Trump took office.

As a pro-life atheist, I’ve never been more confused.
That starts with the fact that Ocasio-Cortez is herself Catholic. Does she consider her own faith “fundamentalist”?
I presume she’d say the Church requires its members to be pro-life in their private conduct (isn’t she pro-choice?) but doesn’t require them to enshrine their beliefs in public policy. If that’s the case, I’d politely refer her to today’s news.
Beyond that, she seems to be arguing that abortion is some sort of religious right. Conservatives have accused the left for years of treating abortion as a sort of sacrament but it turns out we didn’t know the half of it.

US President Joe Biden arrived in South Korea today, his first Asia trip as US leader, aiming to cement ties with regional security allies as concern over a North Korean nuclear test grows.
Biden wants the trip to build on recent moves accelerating a years-long US pivot to Asia, where rising Chinese commercial and military power is undercutting Washington’s dominance.
He received a warm welcome from South Korea’s new staunchly pro-US President Yoon Suk-yeol, who took office last week, but there is growing concern North Korea’s unpredictable leadership could conduct a nuclear test during Biden’s visit to the region.

The criminal trial of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann began this week with a telling warning from prosecutors to the D.C. jury: “Whatever your political views might be, they cannot be brought to your decisions.” The opening statement by Deborah Brittain Shaw reflected the curious profile of the Sussmann case. Prosecutors ordinarily have a massive advantage with juries despite the presumption of innocence. When pleas are counted, federal prosecutors can report as high as 95 percent conviction rates. However, with Sussmann, prosecutors clearly have concerns over whether they, rather than the defendant, will get a fair trial.

That which cannot be said
The Senate Interior Committee held a hearing yesterday to examine the Biden administration’s fiscal year 2023 budget request for the Department of the Interior. The committee has posted video of the hearing here.
The hearing presented an opportune moment for Interior Secretary Deborah Haaland to let her light shine and she did not disappoint. In the clip below Secretary Haaland avoids answering the question whether gas prices are too high.
Staff anxiously placed notes in front of Haaland with the all-purpose answer to brain teasers seeking to elicit that which

A furious female skateboarder has slammed Red Bull for sponsoring a contest where she placed second to her trans rival. Taylor Silverman claims she and other female competitors were disadvantaged by officials at the Red Bull Cornerstone Contest, where she placed second and received a $2,750 award. Trans skateboarder Lillian Gallagher was awarded $5,000 for placing first and winning two separate divisions—money that Silverman says should have been given to her. Silverman, who has been skateboarding for 11 years, said when she tried to reach out to officials to 'do the right thing even if it's not the popular thing,' she was ignored.

Months ago The Gateway Pundit was told that Michigan canvassers were being paid NOT TO collect signatures to expand Voter ID laws in the state.
Democrats do not believe in Voter ID. It’s easier to cheat that way. Michigan activists told The Gateway Pundit they were having difficulty reaching their goal because GOP canvassers were being paid by someone NOT to work.
Now we know who was behind this effort. A Soros-linked dark money group was paying Groundgame Political Solutions to pay canvassers tens of thousands of dollars not to work on the issue.

Former New York City mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that he is running for Congress in the upcoming midterm elections in November, in New York’s tenth congressional district.
De Blasio make the announcement during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Friday. It comes merely 48 hours after de Blasio announced via Twitter that he was forming an exploratory committee to raise money for a potential bid. The committee was legally turned into a formal campaign on Friday.
In announcing his candidacy, de Blasio told host Joe Scarborough that “people are hurting, they need help, they need help fast,” and that “they need leaders that can actually get them help now.”

Who needs to spend millions on television commercials or Facebook ads if you’ve got friends in the FBI who can pull off a political dirty trick for you?Just look how cozy Hillary Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann and FBI general counsel James A. Baker are in text messages revealed in Thursday’s testimony at Sussmann’s trial. Can you meet tomorrow, Sussmann asks the high-ranking government official. “OK, I will find a time,” Baker answers. Does he need help getting into the building? No, Sussmann answers, I have a badge to get into the Federal Bureau of Investigation. How convenient.

Perhaps no head of state before Joe Biden has so completely personified the maritime proverb that the fish rots from the head down. In both deed and physical decay, he is that putrefying rancidness wafting from where offal is tossed near the dock whose ability to trigger the gag reflexes of unsuspecting travelers seems the perfect metaphor for this nauseating moment in American history. Not only is Joe's walking corpse a fitting symbol for a country that has never looked more debilitated, but the reality (ignored by the State's slavishly devoted press corps) that his cognitive acuity is plummeting so fast that terminal velocity was reached long ago

The Biden administration is making $500 million available to school districts to transition the nation’s gas-guzzling diesel school bus fleets to zero-emission electric busses. The bucket of money is part of a broader tranche of $5 billion set aside in last year’s infrastructure spending for low and zero-emission school buses over the next five years.(Snip)They will highlight how the switch to electric buses will not only significantly slash greenhouse gas emissions, but how it will also cut down on public health risks that diesel vehicles pose to children, such as causing asthma.

SEOUL — One of President Biden’s security officers was arrested and accused of assaulting a South Korean citizen in Seoul a few hours before Biden arrived in the country, according to South Korean police. The individual was detained early Thursday, an official with Seoul’s Yongsan district police said Friday. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the incident, declined to comment further. South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo newspaper, which first reported the case Friday, said the suspect was allegedly drunk and got into a fight with a South Korean over a taxi

And since the state has committed to phase out all new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 — well ahead of federal targets — the additional load from electric vehicle (EV) charging could add more strain to the electric grid. “Let’s say we were to have a substantial number of [electric] vehicles charging at home as everybody dreams,” Ram Rajagopal, an associate professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, who authored

Eleven Senate Republicans voted on Thursday to defy the Republican and Democrat establishment and oppose a $40 billion aid package to Ukraine.
The Senate voted Thursday afternoon to approve H.R. 7691, the Ukraine Supplemental Aid Package, 86-11. Nearly the entire Senate voted for the gargantuan aid package to the embattled eastern European nation, and notably, only Republicans opposed the legislation to grant tens of billions of dollars in military and economic aid to Ukraine.

Sussman is charged with one count of lying to the FBI, the lie being that when he came to the Bureau with fake information about Donald Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank, he was acting as a public-spirited citizen and not on behalf of any client.
Today former FBI general counsel James Baker testified that Sussman told him that “he was not appearing before me on behalf of any particular client.” Further, when Sussman set up the meeting with Baker with a text message, he said he would be “coming on my own —

Thanks to the leaked opinion in the Dobbs case, abortion “rights” have become a hot topic on the left. But what about the rights of health care workers to refuse to abort babies? Or to refuse participation in other referrals or procedures (such as euthanasia or gender reassignment surgeries) to which they object on moral or religious grounds?
Under a proposed rule removal by the Biden administration’s Health and Human Services Department (HHS), health care workers will have little recourse if their medical school, employer, or state insists that they participate in procedures or referrals to which they object.

Well, duh—the obvious answer is YES. But that hasn’t been a winning argument in the Supreme Court since 1935 unfortunately.
In the aftermath of the leaked Dobbs opinion, the left has been in a panic about what other “rights” the Supreme Court might take away, like the right to same sex marriage, inter-racial marriage, contraception, and watching European soccer in the middle of the night.
The left lacks imagination, and apparently an overabundance of paranoia only takes you so far. Our favorite working satirist (now that Ammo Grrrll is retired from standup), David Deeble (I’m tempted to call him Ammo Guuuyy just to have a matched set) has written over at

Later this month, on May 24, Coweta County Republican primary voters will head to the polls to cast their votes in the state’s highly-contested gubernatorial race. In Coweta County, primary voters will also be asked about their opinions on the current rate of legal immigration.

According to federal government statistics, the U.S. adds over 1,000,000 new legal immigrants a year on average...

Trump-hate does funny things to the analytical capabilities of at least some so-called "experts."
Which brings us to the famous Brookings Institute expert on Vladimir Putin, pal of Democrats, former NSC official, and Trump impeachment witness, Fiona Hill.
Asked about Trump and the Russians, and the invasion of Ukraine, at a forum in Chicago, the celebrated Trump-hater came up with this logic bomb:
According to The Hill:
"Former Trump White House national security official Fiona Hill said Russian President Vladimir Putin had “to explain everything to all the time” to former President Trump. “He had to keep explaining things, and Putin doesn’t like to do that,” Hill said this week,

No good deed goes unpunished. Last month, former NFL head coach Tony Dungy was among the attendees at a bill signing ceremony in Florida for new legislation supporting fatherhood. The bipartisan Responsible Fatherhood Initiative will set aside more than $70 million to help struggling Sunshine State fathers play a greater role in the lives of their children. Much of the funding will go to nonprofits like Dungy’s All Pro Dad foundation that assist fathers seeking employment, readjusting to life post-incarceration, and learning parenting skills.

The U.S. recently passed the 1 million mark for COVID-19 deaths, a grim milestone recognized with the lowering of flags to half staff around the country. More than 60% of those deaths have come during the bungling tenure of President Joe Biden, who said in a late-October 2020 debate with Donald Trump that the president should be kicked out of the White House because of how many had died from the virus on his watch. Based on his own standard, Biden should be back in his Delaware basement.
When asked at that debate how he’d “lead this country out of this crisis,”

A California man who stormed the US Capitol, traipsed through Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office, and sat in the Senate chair of then-Vice President Mike Pence has pleaded guilty to a federal charge in the riot. Christian Secor, 23, of Costa Mesa, entered the guilty plea on Thursday in a Washington DC court, admitting to obstructing an official proceeding during the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol.Under sentencing guidelines, Secor will likely face 21 to 27 months in federal prison when he is sentenced in October, though the court is not bound by the guidelines and could technically impose up to 20 years.

In a normal political year, being chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) would be a political plum, but in 2022 it is more like being the captain of the Titanic. And the “passengers” (Democrats in the House seeking re-election) are starting to grumble that the captain is commandeering his own lifeboat.
That’s roughly the situation facing Sean Patrick Maloney, chairman of the DCCC, which allocates party funds to incumbents seeking re-election. Polling voters on their support for a generic Democrat running against a Republican yields horrific results for Dems.
