After Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s archbishop said Friday she is barred from receiving the Eucharist, the bishop of the California diocese where Pelosi has a vacation home says he will uphold the prohibition when Pelosi attends Mass in his diocese. (snip) Bishop Robert Vasa of the Diocese of Santa Rosa told The Pillar May 20 he has instructed priests to observe the decision of Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone when Pelosi attends Mass at the parish nearby her Napa Valley vacation home and vineyard.

She doesn't mind. She's still got her ice cream.

Let's hope she appeals to the pope. If she does and he upholds Cordileone he's as much as saying Biden is next. If he doesn't support Cordileone he is as much as saying abortion is okay and further destroying the Church.

It's about time! Thanks to Archbishop Cordileone. Guess old Nancy just went too far and she's finally getting her dues. I think I have a lovely glass of Italian wine.

FTA “The cardinal told Catholic News Service he wanted to develop a “a conversational relationship where we can discover areas where we can cooperate that reflect the social teachings of the church, knowing full well that there are some areas where we won’t agree.” What utter nonsense from Cardinal Gregory regarding Joe Biden. Abortion isn’t a situation where, golly gee, we’ll just have to agree to disagree. Biden and Pelosi are risking their very souls on this issue. Cardinals are to tend their sheep, not side-step tough issues or tuck tail and run when the wolf appears. Good Lord what feckless creatures have risen to the highest ranks.

She wasn't looking for Holy Communion. She was looking for Holy Communism.

Too late. No matter what the baby did in life, at least the baby had a chance.

Alleluia! Bishop Vasa is my bishop! (Our diocese includes the coastal counties north of San Fransisco, except Marin, up to the Oregon state line.) He preaches plainly about the abomination of abortion from the pulpit, and has been a vocal voice for the lives of the unborn and respect for women's unique roles in society. He is a member of the US Bishop's Conference that drafted the document which clarified the public role for Catholic elected officials.
The Democrats have traveled far from the "safe, legal and rare" argument to full infanticide. Will Nancy choose Christ in the Eucharist, or stay with Satan? I think we all know the answer.

If they are going to treat the goose (Pelosi) in that manner, they should also treat the gander (Biden) in the same way, as they are two pees in a pod.

If my bishop told me that I could not receive Communion, I would be in line Friday for Saturday morning confession.

This is so simple: abortion is murder, and murder is a sin (for all Christians, anyway, certainly including Catholic Christians).
Pelosi has every right to believe whatever she likes about abortion.
And the Catholic Church likewise has that same right.
However, Pelosi does not have the right to dictate doctrinal positions on abortion (or any other subject) to the Catholic Church, nor to unilaterally redefine basic Christianity.
Unless the First Amendment has been stripped from the US Constitution.

She won’t care. She will just not bother to show up rather than be publicly humiliated.
I believe that this is a result of her outrageous radical response to the SCOTUS leak, so there is one silver lining to that whole fiasco. I pray that this trend reaches into every single Catholic parish in the country. There are 86 “Catholic” democrats in congress and they should all receive this same treatment.

Today is Sunday. If I were a reporter, I would be camping out in front of the Catholic churches in DC this morning. Then, I would follow her inside. She is too high profile to slip into church without notice.
