A federal judge ruled Friday that the Biden administration’s move to end Title 42, the pandemic health policy used to quickly expel illegal migrants, must be paused, siding with Republican attorneys general who sued the administration. “The Court agrees with the Plaintiff States that a nation-wide injunction is necessary for complete relief given the ability of immigrants crossing the border to move freely from one state to another,” Judge Robert Summerhays said in his decision.

Judge Robert Summerhays, appointed by 45. Unfortunately, Biden Admin doesn't comply with court orders any better than they do the Constitution.

Joe pleased his base. He probably figured the judge would over rule him. He did what he sat out to do. Millions of illegals are at the border being escorted into the U.S. and being flown Lord knows where and being housed and given phones and vouchers. Do you really think just because the judge said Joe can not overturn Title 42 that the invasion will stop.

WASHINGTON, DC — Former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann denied he was “representing a client” when he gave the CIA faulty data linking Donald Trump to Russia — and appeared “frustrated” that officials weren’t taking the information seriously, two former agency employees testified Friday. One ex-spy — identified in court only as “Kevin P.” — recalled that he and a colleague met with Sussmann at CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., in February 2017, shortly after Trump took office.

House Democrats in the midst of dealing with the “chaos” created by new congressional maps created by a special master in New York have more reason to be unhappy today. In Florida (snip) It seemed Democrats had finally caught a break earlier this month when a judge who reviewed those maps declared the changes in the northern part of the state to be unconstitutional. The 1st District Court of appeals ruled Judge Layne Smith erred when he ordered a replacement map be used for the 2022 election.

As a pro-life atheist, I’ve never been more confused. That starts with the fact that Ocasio-Cortez is herself Catholic. Does she consider her own faith “fundamentalist”? I presume she’d say the Church requires its members to be pro-life in their private conduct (isn’t she pro-choice?) but doesn’t require them to enshrine their beliefs in public policy. If that’s the case, I’d politely refer her to today’s news. Beyond that, she seems to be arguing that abortion is some sort of religious right. Conservatives have accused the left for years of treating abortion as a sort of sacrament but it turns out we didn’t know the half of it.

The Biden administration privately acknowledged late last month that a mathematical error is delaying the federal government’s offshore oil and gas program. In an April 29 letter to industry leaders obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says that a subagency “discovered a miscalculation” that has caused a massive backlog in permitting. Richard Spinrad acknowledged in his letter that the National Marine Fisheries Service—the subagency tasked with analyzing the impact of offshore drilling projects on wildlife—has used faulty computer modeling on such impacts. As a result, Spinrad wrote, the subagency overestimated wildlife effects, delaying permitting on existing leases.
