There are no guarantees in life, yet we still have expectations. We expect our elected leaders to behave selflessly so they can keep the American people in mind first. But when politicians ignore our humanity in pursuit of their own agenda, the American people tend to suffer the consequences, even with their lives.(Snip)As the homicide rate increased by 30% across the board, demographically, the homicide rate for black Americans increased by a dramatic 34%, higher than any other racial demographic. Previously, the culturally appropriate woman judge with what looks like a pineapple on her head said the police had no reason to stop and search the rapper, even though it turned out that he was carrying a gun, and started fighting with and eventually shot at the police who dared question him. In a sane society this judge would be enjoying her stay in prison along with the rapper. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10595241/Judge-moves-case-rapper-16-accused-shooting-cop-family-court.html

Whits and asians have a long term homicide rate of 2.5 to 3 per 100,000, Blacks....running for many years at 23 or so per 100,000. Now blacks are surging up to 32 per 100K. So, black rate is pretty much TEN TIMES the rate of whites or asians. This is why it's "standard description #1" in police slang. Ten times more likely.

Everyone is yawning, from the gated communities to the ghettos. The Community doesn't care except to erect sidewalk shrines to the victims with a television appearance by a grieving mother demanding "Justice". It has reached a saturation point and gone beyond as a nightly occurrance. And so, who cares? No, really. And what are the cops going to do about it anyways? Except clean up the carnage. Until The Community accepts its role, and Community and "civil rights" leaders accept their roles in leading the culture to better things, it's a fool's errand to intervene.

His neon artworks of the Queen fetch five-figure sums. But punk artist Mark Sloper has discovered that there is no demand for another of his Royal subjects–Prince Harry. He spent a small fortune creating the likeness of the Duke of Sussex with ‘potential H-bomb’ written across it in neon–a phrase that features in the Sex Pistols’ controversial 1977 hit God Save The Queen–but now fears he will have to scrap it. ‘No one wants to buy it,’ he tells me. ‘There is absolutely zero interest. It is currently sitting in the studio and is worth about ten grand, but I think I will have to

The city’s vaccine mandate has been put on “pause” for the NYPD so the force can avoid losing nearly 5,000 cops and employees as the weather— and crime—heats up, The Post has learned. Currently, 91 percent of the NYPD’s uniformed cops and other personnel are vaccinated, City Hall says. That leaves an estimated 4,659 NYPD employees unvaccinated despite a deadline to get the shots by Oct. 29. “In a nutshell, no decisions will be made, no further members will be forced to leave until further notice,” said a veteran NYPD sergeant, explaining the unwritten rule. “There hasn’t been any memo, just basically keep everything status quo

A Harlem councilwoman is pushing legislation that would require city leaders overseeing museums and nightlife to appoint a laureate of the Big Apple’s growing drag performance scene. Democratic socialist Councilwoman Kristin Richardson Jordan introduced a bill Thursday that would require a “drag laureate” to be picked annually by the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs in consultation with the head of the Mayor’s Office of Nightlife. During Thursday’s City Council meeting, Richardson Jordan said the drag laureate would serve as the city’s “ambassador to LGBTQ nightlife.” “As a black queer woman, I know what it is to feel invisible,” said Richardson Jordan, who has come under fire during her first year

Climate change and rising costs are causing supermarkets in France to run out of dijon mustard, raising questions over whether the shortage could spread to other countries. French mustard producers said seed production in 2021 was down 50% after poor harvests, which they said had been brought on by the changing climate in France’s Burgundy region and Canada, the second largest mustard seed producer in the world. It has caused French supermarket shelves to run empty of the condiment, including in several stores visited by the Guardian. One of France’s largest mustard producers, Reine de Dijon, said the shortages were being driven by climate breakdown.

For regular readers of this site, today’s news will likely not come as a surprise, but much of the nation seems to remain unaware of it. The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has released its latest reliability assessment for the summer of 2022 and, to put it mildly, the news is not good. In far too many states, the power grid is already nearly at full capacity, and in the next few months, that capacity will be exceeded. This isn’t a question of “if” or really even “when.” It’s just a fact. Industry experts know this and have been trying to sound the alarm for several years.

The call to action comes on the heels of threats from the Kremlin and warnings from Russian diplomats that the country’s Ukraine invasion could lead to a nuclear strike, the Utah Republican wrote in an op-ed for The New York Times.

It’s not even on my radar,” he said, adding that Harris, who has drawn criticism regarding her performance as vice president, should succeed President Joe Biden, the Chronicle noted.

The last several weeks in the United States have been a wild ride. Everything that could go wrong, short of a full-blown apocalyptic situation, has gone wrong. The stock market is currently in the midst of a collapse, with the Dow Jones losing nearly 5,000 points over the last 30 days. Inflation clocked in at 8.3% for April, representing another crushing blow to Americans. Of course, gas prices continue to break milestones on a daily basis. Meanwhile, the border crisis is completely out of control, with the only somewhat positive news being that a court blocked the Biden administration’s push to lift Title 42,

The Biden administration privately acknowledged late last month that a mathematical error is delaying the federal government’s offshore oil and gas program. In an April 29 letter to industry leaders obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says that a subagency “discovered a miscalculation” that has caused a massive backlog in permitting. Richard Spinrad acknowledged in his letter that the National Marine Fisheries Service—the subagency tasked with analyzing the impact of offshore drilling projects on wildlife—has used faulty computer modeling on such impacts. As a result, Spinrad wrote, the subagency overestimated wildlife effects, delaying permitting on existing leases.
