How A Republican Congress Can Protect
Health-Care Workers From The Biggest Federal
Erasure Of Their Conscience Rights Ever

Thanks to the leaked opinion in the Dobbs case, abortion “rights” have become a hot topic on the left. But what about the rights of health care workers to refuse to abort babies? Or to refuse participation in other referrals or procedures (such as euthanasia or gender reassignment surgeries) to which they object on moral or religious grounds? Under a proposed rule removal by the Biden administration’s Health and Human Services Department (HHS), health care workers will have little recourse if their medical school, employer, or state insists that they participate in procedures or referrals to which they object.

Just one more reasons why Dems need to go.

Let me say this carefully. I know a person who works in public mental health. Every day this person gives information and guidance to trans people on a subject that this person is very much opposed to. This person says that the parents of these trans youths are the biggest pushers of this dreadful medical abuse. I told this person that this fad will too die out in time, just like so many others that weak-minded people develop as a substitute for God, but the damage and repercussions to society are going to be an issue people will have to deal with with for decades. These people who bought this quick-fix for mental unhappiness are going to discover down the road they were betrayed and twisted into a lifestyle that brought nothing but anguish and their anger and bitterness is going to be so overwhelming that they’re going to be a disruption and danger to society till they die. It’s going to be rough cleaning this up.

Donald Trump Jr. is not his father. His dad is indeed one-of-a-kind. But there are certain traits and features that have clearly been passed down from Trump the elder, particularly when it comes to their personalities. One of the more endearing qualities in both men is their plainspokenness. They don’t pull any punches, especially when it comes to issues and politicians about which they are passionate. Such was the case with Trump the younger when he weighed in on a hot-button topic recently, as reported by the Washington Post on Sunday. The subject was the Biden Administration’s flirtation with so-called “student loan forgiveness,” and Don Jr. didn’t hold back:
Fairfax, Virginia Schools May Expel Elementary

For those who scoff that Florida’s new education law bans “non-existent” gender indoctrination, let the tale of Fairfax County, Virginia serve as a wake-up call. Fairfax County’s school board has long prided itself on leading the way for the nation in cutting-edge education policy and curriculum. As the tenth-largest district in the nation, it holds disproportionate sway over other school boards. In 2015, the Fairfax school board blindsided parents with changes to its non-discrimination policy, followed by a sweeping expansion of the sex-ed curriculum and new rules governing student offenses and penalties.

Can you imagine living in mortal fear of a 90-year-old man who preaches peace and love? If so, you know what it is like to be a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party. On Wednesday, communist authorities in Hong Kong arrested Cardinal Joseph Zen on a phony “national security” charge. Zen’s immediate offense was his alleged involvement in a dissolved fund to defend those harmed by the ruthless crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong. His real crime is his unwillingness to overlook Beijing’s broken promises about establishing democracy with universal suffrage in Hong Kong—a promise it made to get the former colony back from the gullible British.
Alaska’s Special Election Is A Template

Next month, Alaskans will vote in a special primary election for the state’s single congressional seat, left vacant by the death of Republican Rep. Don Young in March. Young, the longest-serving Republican in the history of the U.S. House, was Alaska’s sole congressman for 49 years, so the election to replace him is in some ways an historic event for the state. But it’s also historic in another way: it will be Alaska’s first ever statewide mail-in primary election. That is, there will be no in-person voting at all. Every single voter on the state’s bloated and error-riddled voter rolls was automatically mailed a blank ballot.

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis is on a roll. Since his initial gubernatorial campaign four years ago, DeSantis has gone from an under-the-radar Congressman as one of 435 members of the House of Representatives to one of the most prominent figures on the American political stage. With the possible exception of Donald Trump, there is no one with a higher trajectory and no one who strikes fear in the hearts of the left quite like Ron DeSantis. Life is good if you’re Ron DeSantis, and it only seems to be getting better.

Remember that time when the left and their media scolded folks like Joe Rogan and Donald Trump for suggesting that the drug ivermectin wasn’t only for deworming animals but was effective in treating COVID? And remember that they launched those attacks despite the fact that a Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to ivermectin developers for its remarkable effects on humans? And do you remember when those same individuals protested that restrictions on abortions will make such procedures “unsafe” for women… or certain men… or “birthing persons,” or something?

Americans who would sacrifice anything to protect their children may be surprised to learn that their inclination is a rather modern phenomenon. For most of human history, the most dangerous period of any person’s life was childhood. Only if a newborn survived the first decade of disease, warfare, hunger, and all the other mundane threats to ordinary human existence would the survivor gain any type of social recognition. O.M. Bakke explores this reality in his book, “When Children Became People: The Birth of Childhood in Early Christianity.”

In an apparent homage to George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984” — one the rest of us realize is a pointed political allegory but the Biden administration apparently views as a handbook — the Biden White House is establishing a Disinformation Governance Board. Yes, you read that correctly. The government is going to decide what’s true and what’s false, and punish disseminators accordingly. The bureaucrats who run the Department of Homeland security, where this board will be housed, are going to be parsing fact from fiction, obviously to keep us all safe from the scourge of independent judgment and thought.

A common narrative from anti-gun activists asserts that more guns equal more crime. But those of us who own guns have known this storyline to be false all along. It never made sense, and now we have data to prove it. According to a recent study by the National Bureau of Economic Research, there is a direct correlation between gun ownership and crime, but that correlation doesn’t align with the storyline from the “guns are bad” crowd. In fact, shocker… it shows just the opposite. The NBER analysis used Tennessee’s database for handgun carry permit holders, and then cross-referenced that data with crime statistics in those zip codes.

For most leftists, particularly those who reside in the echo chamber of the mainstream media and under the protection of Big Tech censorship, self-awareness has never been a key component of their skill set. The mindset apparently operates something like this: I’m wonderful, only my opinions matter, all criticisms of me and my work are ill-founded. And for that reason, the ends justify their means, no matter how reprehensible those means may be. Last week, Washington Post reporter (please, let’s stop calling her a journalist) Taylor Lorenz was the subject of widespread mockery as she was called out for some of the most outrageous media hypocrisy

Sullivan played a key role in misleading reporters and Congress about “Russia collusion,” telling the House Intelligence Committee in 2017 that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had colluded with Russia. The Biden administration privately acknowledged late last month that a mathematical error is delaying the federal government’s offshore oil and gas program. In an April 29 letter to industry leaders obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says that a subagency “discovered a miscalculation” that has caused a massive backlog in permitting. Richard Spinrad acknowledged in his letter that the National Marine Fisheries Service—the subagency tasked with analyzing the impact of offshore drilling projects on wildlife—has used faulty computer modeling on such impacts. As a result, Spinrad wrote, the subagency overestimated wildlife effects, delaying permitting on existing leases.
