US intelligence has now pulled back on claims Russia placed 'bounties' on US soldiers in Afghanistan - after Joe Biden repeatedly used the story to attack Donald Trump during the 2020 presidential race. The assessment, revealed Thursday as America announced a host of new sanctions on the Russian government, undermines one of the sharpest attacks Democrats leveled against the former president during the 2020 White House race. Trump had tweeted last July: 'The Russia Bounty story is just another made up by Fake News tale that is told only to damage me and the Republican Party.' The Democratic party is dying. That may be hard to believe since Democrats control both houses of Congress and won the last presidential election with a record 81 million votes. But the exiguous margins of their hold on the House and Senate, with fewer than 51 percent of the seats in either chamber, tell another story, as does the desperation of their struggle to abolish the filibuster and federalize election law. Those policy aims are of a piece with dreams of packing the Supreme Court — and packing the Senate too, by admitting tiny Democratic bastions as new states. The left wing of the party even assails the constitutional principle

The Biden administration is expected to announce wide-ranging sanctions against Russia over allegations of a massive hacking campaign into federal agencies and for election interference, multiple reports said late Thursday. The sanctions will call for 10 Russian diplomats to be expelled and a new executive order will expand prohibitions on U.S. banks that trade in Russian government debt, the Wall Street Journal reported. The sanctions come a day after Yuri Ushakov, President Putin’s policy adviser, told John Sullivan, the U.S. deputy secretary of state, that Moscow would "act in the most decisive way possible" if hit with sanctions, Reuters reported. On April 13, 2021, the FDA decided to pause the Johnson and Johnson vaccine’s use due to six women suffering from an unusual type of blot clot and low platelets, which assist a person’s blood with clotting. There have been two distinct opinions on this move in the commentariat that are opposed. The first position is that this pause on the Johnson and Johnson vaccine is ridiculous based on population-wide statistics for vaccine side effects. Six women out of over seven million doses are not sufficient to deprive the rest of the population of a vaccine effective in preventing severe illness and death from COVID-19. This point of view is understandable

On Thursday, Democrats in the U.S. House and Senate plan to unveil legislation to expand the size of the Supreme Court, potentially reversing the originalist gains under former President Donald Trump. The bill would add four seats to the Court, bringing the total from nine to 13, sources told The Intercept. Congress has the authority to set the number of justices on the Court, which has remained at 9 since 1869. House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), Subcommittee Chair Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), and Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-N.Y.) are leading the bill in the House while Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) will lead the effort in the Senate.

USA Today ultra-leftist Nancy Armour swung a big bat Tuesday, verbally bludgeoning hateful, ignorant conservative state lawmakers working to protect women’s sports. She accused them of trying to “otherize” trans athletes and open a new front in the culture war, repeated LGBT talking points and urged the NCAA to hurt conservative states in the pocketbook. Nearly half the state legislatures are trying to protect women’s sports from the intrusion of confused males competing with females. Armour (seen above) accused them of passing bills that aren’t based on scientific facts. It’s bigotry that comes with a price, and she exhorted the NCAA to inflict financial pain on conservative states.

Paul Pelosi, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, is one heck of a trader! He purchased about $10 million in Microsoft shares through call options on March 19th when the stock was trading at $230.35. Days later, Microsoft was awarded a contract by the U.S. Army valued at $22 billion and inked a deal to buy an artificial intelligence firm. It’s stock has soared about 12% since Mr. Pelosi’s initial investment.(Snip) But Mr. Pelosi’s good fortunes don’t stop there. Weeks before President Biden signed an executive order to replace the entire federal automobile fleet with electric cars, Mr. Pelosi bought up to $1 million in Tesla

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is considering using federal funds to provide around $40 million in one-time stimulus payments to the state’s undocumented immigrants via executive action, according to five people familiar with the matter. Representatives from Murphy’s office suggested the figure during a conference call with immigration advocates on Tuesday.(Snip) The roughly $40 million figure—which would be funded through remaining federal CARES dollars—was a non-starter for advocates, who are seeking larger relief measures, such as $2,000 in direct stimulus payments to individuals and $600 in unemployment-like benefits. Sources said the 30-minute call grew “pretty heated” over the amount,
