Will COVID hysterics ever let
our children live normal lives?

The end of the pandemic is nigh. Americans continue to get vaccinated at a rapid clip. Life will be moving on. Except, it seems, for children. For more than a year, they have suffered from irrational, unscientific and downright superstitious policies inflicted upon them by adults — and there is no end in sight. In March, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ¬issued new guidance that three-foot social distancing suffices in schools, instead of the usual six. Yet in many localities where teachers unions wield power, schools still didn’t fully reopen. (Snip) Many places in Europe, including Britain, as well as some schools across America, long ago scrapped social-distancing ¬requirements

Comments:

A lot of our problems would ease up if we could get rid of the teachers' unions. (The last two words of the intro, which exceeded the word limit, said that the Brits and Europeans got rid of the limits for children.)

No the hysterics will never end. Those masks will never disappear. Both Democrats and Republicans have a slew of hysterics and hypochondriacs that will spread their miseries further than any virus ever could. Unmasked people are a threat to their safety and so will have to be masked up, and muzzled, if they complain about it. The Corporate CEO's will enforce the protocols, as the police have been defunded. Corporations are the new enforcers of leftist ideology. They are going to hell.

Yesterday, my wife and I sat on a bench at the front of the city library enjoying the massive granite fountain — outdoors. A young mother and her three-year-old came by, both wearing masks. The mom didn’t come near us since we were maskless. After a couple of minutes, they left. Outdoors, in the Coachella Valley Desert, with plenty of heat and dry air, and mom is taking no chances on her and her pre-schooler getting Covid from us. I commented to my wife that the mother was imprinting fear into that little boy needlessly. I was chagrined at the ignorance of the mother. By the way, both of us are vaccinated and tested negative for Covid just last week.

Cloth masks are effective as a barrier to the two-micron sized virus as any other talisman. I prefer a lucky penny. They are also a badge of obedience to the state. That is the reason why Democrats will continue to insist on them.

Every time I look at Mohammad Anwar's photo, I cry. I've not read his bio on the web. I can't find his bio on the web. The Wikipedia page devoted to Anwar is all of 258 words long. Everything I know about him, I see in his photo. Mohammad Anwar looks his age – 66. (Snip) He's probably overdressing for his job – Uber Eats driver. “What do you see?” was the question posed at our “equity” training. I saw, like most of my colleagues, LeBron James and Gisele Bundchen posing together on the cover of Vogue. Our “trainers” claimed this was an example of a subconscious implicit bias. This was surely a modern depiction of King Kong and Fay Wray, they claimed. (Snip) The purpose of this training was not just to reveal implicit bias, but also to accuse our community of systemic racism that needed to be disrupted and dismantled to root out this type of white supremacist thinking. From this training onward, I’ve watched Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) implode under the destructive

Red China constantly rethinks how it will become the world's leading superpower, and plans accordingly. The Epoch Times has just published a detailed plan delivered in a speech in July, 2016, laying out how the People's Republic can overtake the United States as the world's leading nation. (Snip) The speech, kept secret until now, combined four elements: 1) weakening the United States by becoming increasingly involved in American affairs, and 2) infiltrating Chinese agents into the U.S. political system. The object would be to control the outcome of American elections. Jin calculated that it is possible to bring pro-Chinese candidates to power in House elections to ensure pro-Chinese policies.

In 1994, Prince Philip became the first member of the royal family ever to visit Israel, when he came to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum in Jerusalem to participate in a ceremony honoring his mother, Princess Alice, as a Righteous Among The Nations. She had sheltered three members of the Cohen family, hiding them in her palace in Athens during the Nazi occupation of Greece. (Snip) This is the full text of the speech given by the prince, who died on April 9 at the age of 99, at the Yad Vashem ceremony, on October 30, 1994:

Four intruders barged into the printing plant of the Hong Kong edition of The Epoch Times in the early hours of April 12, damaging computers and printing equipment in an attack believed to be the latest effort by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to silence the news outlet. In an attack on the same facility in November 2019, four masked men set fire to two printing presses; the perpetrators are still at large. Cheryl Ng, a spokeswoman for the Hong Kong edition, said the intrusion was characteristic of the CCP and had the aim of silencing an independent outlet from reporting on topics that are taboo to the communist regime.

A group of lawyers has gotten together and is taking a run at the World Health Organization’s leadership for the various ways they helped screw the world over. ‘For things to stay the same, everything must change.” So says the restless young aristocrat Tancredi in Lampedusa’s The Leopard, one of the great novels of the last century. The strange figures known as Wokists currently destroying America aren't just reprises of earlier enemies. They represent something rather new. The political cult of Wokism combines the worst aspects of every political cult in history. An oversight board created to scrutinize research that would enhance highly dangerous pathogens did not review a National Institutes of Health grant that funded a lab in Wuhan, China, to genetically modify bat-based coronaviruses. Experts say the NIH grant describes scientists as conducting gain-of-function research, a risky area of study that, in this case, made SARS-like viruses even more contagious. Federal funding for gain-of-function research was suspended temporarily in 2014 due to widespread scientific concerns it risked leaking supercharged viruses into the human population. Federal funding for gain-of-function research was resumed in late 2017 after the Potential Pandemic Pathogens Control and Oversight Framework was formed within the U.S. Department of

The 1991 made-for-TV film, Khraniteli, based on Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring, is the only adaptation of his Lord of the Rings trilogy believed to have been made in the Soviet Union. Aired 10 years before the release of the first instalment of Peter Jackson’s movie trilogy, the low-budget film appears ripped from another age: the costumes and sets are rudimentary, the special effects are ludicrous, and many of the scenes look more like a theatre production than a feature-

How did this happen? How did the nation go in an instant from disbelieving every utterance of Donald Trump to robotically repeating — and acting on — every claim that falls out of Joe Biden’s mouth, no matter how disconnected from the truth? The most glaring example involves Biden’s fact-challenged tirade against Georgia’s new voting law. At his first and only press conference, Biden declared the state’s efforts to protect against voter fraud were worse than Jim Crow, “un-American,” “sick,” and “despicable.” (This was the same press conference where moments later Biden bragged about how much time he’s spent with China’s genocidal communist dictator before calling him “a smart, smart guy.”)

White House press secretary Jen Psaki called the video of 13-year-old Adam Toledo getting shot by a Chicago police office 'chilling' during Friday's press briefing. Psaki said she hadn't spoken to President Joe Biden before the morning briefing, so didn't know if he'd watched it, but said it served as a 'reminder' that 'too often in this country law enforcement uses unnecessary force, too often resulting in the death of black and brown Americans.' She said the shooting was unnecessary after Chicago cops released bodycam footage showing the boy had a gun and dropped it just before the officer opened fire.

With all this push for Hollywood “diversity” one often wonders if Hollywood has a vendetta against traditional standards of movie making. According to one insider, that’s exactly the case for at least one major studio. Sci-fi author Nick Cole, co-author of the Galaxy’s Edge series, claimed that during a pitch meeting, a major Hollywood studio passed on a recent project he had been working on, citing the fact that they’re done producing content for “White, Christian, Trash.” Oh wow, that’s a hell of a way to say it. Anybody who’s taking Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously probably needs to stop doing so. He endlessly moves the goalposts to maintain his unlimited power over the American people, something Democrats support. That’s why, on Thursday, during House testimony, Rep. Maxine Watters (who is a low-rent harridan) tried to shut down Rep. Jim Jordan’s efforts to get Fauci to say when enough Americans will be vaccinated so that COVID restrictions can end. The past year has shown that Fauci either has no idea what he’s talking about or is trying to advance an agenda that invariably has to do with maintaining the 2020 status quo of lockdowns, isolation, and masks.
