An attorney representing the family of slain Capitol Building protestor Ashli Babbitt clapped back at the Justice Department after officials announced Wednesday there would be no charges filed against the plainclothes officer who shot and killed her on Jan. 6.Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was seen in videos attempting to climb through a broken window into another room off of the House floor when she was shot by the officer, who still has not been publicly identified. She was unarmed.“The shooting of Ashli Babbitt on January 6, 2021 by an unidentified U.S. Capitol Police Officer was an unjustified use of deadly force which violated her constitutional rights,”

Black cop kills unarmed white woman - - three months later, no big deal.
White cop kills armed black criminal resisting arrest - - file murder charges against the cop, immediately.

The Injustice Department is purely corrupt and dedicated to breaking the law, not upholding it.
Who murdered Ashli Babbit?
Why isn't he in prison?

Sadly, it's going to take a multi-billion-dollar lawsuit to get any type of justice for Ashli!!!!

Perhaps Babbitt's lawyer can still file a civil suit against the officer.

Why hasn't any member of congress addressed this? Are all of them being kept in the dark about the shooter's identity? By whose order?

This smells to high heaven. Ashli Babbitt's murder has been covered up. The coverup has occurred right out in the open for the entire world to see. Its that blatant.

Here's my theory about this for what it's worth. Ms. Babbit was not the one that was supposed to be shot. The shooter was aiming for one of the uniformed cops. She got in the way. If a cop had been killed can you imagine how the corrupt media, the GDdems and rino's in Congress would have blamed President Trump and every single person who voted for him. It would have been figuratively a blood bath for us. I'm also betting the shooter wasn't even a cop but someone brought in do the deed and then disappear. This could be why the murderer hasn't been identified. Look how they have tried to convince us that another cop was beaten to death by a fire extinguisher. This was a set-up that went very, very badly wrong.

Not likely, #9. The gun was maybe 4 feet from Babbitt when the thug fired.

This CORRUPT DOJ is something only Bill Barr could have created. There was a time when both the FBI and DOJ were laudable institutions.... I long for those days.

This was not a legitimate shooting. The shooter never asked her to stop or gave any warning before he shot her point blank. There were Capitol police behind her and she was unarmed and posed no physical threat to anyone. I cannot understand the reason behind this murder, but I do not believe the shooter has a right to privacy. He should be named and his picture shown to us. I have a sneaking suspicion that his background would be very interesting. We should demand he be revealed.
Republicans should stand up and insist upon it instead of rolling over like they always do by failing to confront these lawless democrats time after time. This young woman deserves justice as do the rest of the January 6th men held as political prisoners without bail. The Republican leadership in Washington is worthless. They ignore these men languishing in jail because no one has the courage to speak up regarding this outrage. The difference between the treatment of the Antifa and BLM terrorists and these men is appalling. Violent anarchists walk the streets freely while these men are treated like political prisoners. The death of Ashli Babbitt and these men have been ignored by men and women who have the power to make noise and being this outrageous treatment of them to the public. They should be ashamed.

The unnamed officer was NOT in immediate danger. He violated all firearm protocols. Who gave him the directive to fire at will? Answers please DOJ? FBI? One might think his action was intentional.

Waste of time. Shooter was under orders. Shooter was wildly inaccurate and did not hit the intended target. Shooter was supposed to shoot cop.
DOJ dare not tell the truth. Truth would make entire fantasy of insurrection too obvious. Remember: it was an Insurrection, it was worse than 911, it was worse than Pearl Harbor, it was Trump supporters, it was an overthrow of the U S Government.
How does a dead unarmed veteran (well, she did have a sweater and a scarf in her backpack) help the narrative?
Sheesh.

#9 Trump and all of his supporters were blamed anyway no matter what the truth is of what happened. The left did not need to kill a small unarmed white woman to accomplish that. All they needed was the enemedia narrative.
I have a different theory - killing her, completely at random, was done to send a message to all of us on the right that we will not be allowed to protest anything which the demonrats force on us in the future. It was intentional and meant to cow us into submission. The fact that the name of the shooter is still a secret and that he is being let off only reinforces my theory. As does the fact that the NG is still in DC as a show of force against us.

Tucker showed what he said was the clearest video of the shooting made by a now jailed journalist. I watched it twice. Couldn't make out what happened. The clearest video I saw was one of a gun being aimed in a side to side motion at a distinct target. For a reason the murderer knew who to shoot.

Keep it in the headlines at Newsmax and OAN... eventually nervous Nancy will have to acknowledge this death and offer compensation to the family... as to the cop who shot her...I haven't heard any testimony ...yet... and every cop is afforded the right to a speedy trial... so bring it on !!

There were many people around the shooter so a lot of people know who he/she was. An anonymous letter to FOX news should be sent. No doubt shooter was black,

Based on what I've seen in videos and read in witness statements, I do not even buy the premise that Babbitt was trying to climb over the broken window-- there was jagged glass at the bottom of the window that wouldn't be easy to climb over, and at least one witness said she was simply holding up her cell phone to the broken window, either taking a pic or video. The shooter should face charges.

Are you kidding me? The attorney and law firm don't know who the shooter was? I have known his name and had his picture for about 2 months. Earlier I saw an article from someone at the law firm saying they hadn't identified the shooter. I tried to send an email but it didn't work. this time I will print the picture and name the shooter and send by mail to Mr. Roberts III at Roberts & Woods. If I was the family, I would be looking for another law firm.

I often think how families like the Babbitt’s must feel watching nobody of political clout come to their defense. Our Republican lawmakers have let a false lying narrative stand about Jan. 6th and it has done immense damage.

Dnesh d Souza said on his podcast "a question of privilege" the shooters name is Lt Michael Leroy byrd at the 8:42 minute.
Isn't he the guy who left his glock in a stall in a House restroom a few years ago?

Mr. Byrd needs to get a comeuppance one day for his hideous murder.
Once you know the name Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd, photos pop up with his gun hand with the white beaded bracelet on it as he shot Ashli Babbitt, and in another photo, of course being unsafe with his finger on the trigger when he is just waving the gun randomly around as if it was a water bottle.
Note that name. Perhaps one day he will get some justice.

Asking the lawyers in this group. If the family of Ashli Babbitt were to file a civil suit would the police officer be made to testify? The Babbitt family lawyer says the capitol police haven't released the name of the officer but his name is everywhere. This whole case stinks. Something else going on here.

Blistering statements and sternly-worded letters do not work when your government is a Communist Dictatorship. The only thing that can stop them now is armed revolution. Don't be cowed or conned into giving up your firearms.

Say his name: Michael Leroy Byrd.
If he'd been fired for the restroom snafu, Ashli Babbitt would be alive today.
