Hundreds of corporations, including Starbucks, Amazon, and Netflix, have signed a letter signaling their opposition to election integrity efforts in numerous states, promising to oppose any related legislation they deem “discriminatory.” The effort, led by former American Express chief executive Kenneth Chenault and Merck chief executive Kenneth Frazier, both of whom recently led a group of black business leaders urging corporations to take a stand against election integrity efforts,(Snip)“Voting is the lifeblood of our democracy,” the statement continues, calling on Americans to take a “nonpartisan stand for this most basic and fundamental right of all Americans.”

FTA: “We stand for DEMOCRACY,” the statement reads. “A beautifully American idea, but a reality denied to many for much of this nation’s history. As Americans, we know that in our DEMOCRACY we should not expect to agree on everything”:
Time and again people do not understand the difference between a democracy and a republic. Democracy: government by the people, especially the rule of the MAJORITY - a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.
Simply stated, democracy is “majority rule.” The Founding Fathers acknowledged that “majority voting was helpful,” but democracy overall could become “mob chaos.” The Founding Fathers “centered power in a virtuous and knowledgeable people and republican principles based on the ‘Ten Commandments of God.’” (James Madison) It has been written, “human governments are only as good as the people and rule of law.” Republics have been the preference rather than democracies because “republics tether their leaders—whether kings, elected representatives or the people—to a written standard of conduct that nobody can change (easily). ... Republics protect the God-given rights of people—in stone or words. Democracies do not.”
The government of the United States is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. “A Republic is a government based first and foremost on its Constitution.”
The “mob rule” that seems to be taking hold in our country is a sad, tragic, and glaring example of a democracy.

Bring the entire list to the surface with each corporation. I have already told COSTCO, WALMART, Home Depot, Coke, Delta, American Airline to pound sand. I will pay a little more for what I want to purchase. I don't have to support some clown that tries to shove his politics down my throat.

Shunning isn't going to be enough. We're used to being, collectively THE major market the companies have to cater to. That's not the case any more. These tyrants will take losses locally while rePing the benefits from hostile foreign powers like China, Russia and Iran.
If we don't do something more... physical, soon, it's over. America will vanish for generations, if not millennia. It's very nearly do, or die... put up, or shut up time. If you dont see it, prepare to have a collar around your neck and an iron boot crushing your hopes, forever more.

It would have been helpful the entire list had been published...gotta wonder what Breitbart was afraid of? We need to know which companies desire that the criminality of the Democrat party continue.

I honestly believe that they aren't really opposing election integrity laws, I believe they are bowing to China. I think this is all Chinese propaganda and our idiot companies follow in line.

I suspect Chenault and Frazier got their positions based on their race. Instead of showing gratitude, they show contempt for the country that encourages preferential treatment to blacks.

The smell of financial fear hangs heavy on these folks. They will rue the day though they took a knee instead of standing tall. Their new masters in BLM and Antifa will soon be asking for cash on the barrel head......or else.

The publicly-traded corporations should consider the avalanche of shareholder derivative lawsuits coming their way when their political antics start causing significant drops in share prices.

The term "democracy" is being bandied about a lot these days-- if you are against "democracy" you are to be despised.
Democracy happens when one candidate gets more votes than another. Majority rule.
We have a Representative REPUBLIC, where the rights of the individual citizen is protected FROM the tyranny of the majority.
The problem is, that all the public-private deals to get government money has put John Q. Public at the mercy of the CORPORATIONS who will decide how the public can conduct its business, and ad difficult as it may be, we must work around those corrupt businesses trying to muscle and lean on the public by spending our money elsewhere when possible.
If we are not "woke" enough or against "climate change" or for socialism, they are going to try to control us and manipulate us BEYOND what manipulation of thought and mores the media seems united in doing to U.S.
Resist we must on our own terms while still we can, before they deny us of participation and existence

So a wetback who is unlawfully given the vote is going to run out and get an American Express card and start drinking frappucinos?

Hey, Starbucks, Amazon, and Netflix, it's not going to work. The mob is still going to come for you, again and again. They want your money, they want your subjugation, and when your business is in smoldering ashes, they will walk away.

I wonder if this applies to their stock holder's meetings. Although I do not own stock, can I attend anyway? That would be democratic. I should not need an ID. We live in a democracy, right?

FTA: ''We stand for democracy,” the statement reads. “A beautifully American idea, but a reality denied to many for much of this nation’s history.''
The mental problem for those on the left and many blacks, is that they can't separate history from the present. The misery they wallow in is for things that ceased many decades ago. They have been conditioned to live in the past, and to ignore all progress that has been made. Call it holding a grudge for something that happened to others a long time ago. Current problems are caused by the ''victims'' themselves, egged on by the anti-American forces of the left.

Got a sample edition of "The Epoch Times" yesterday in the mail, and I've decided to get a subscription because they actually have reporters who want to inform their readers. Anyway, in its April 7-13, 2021 edition, they have an article "Inside the Georgia Election Integrity Bill" by Ivan Pentchoukov . Read it once, will read it again, but it has the money quote: "Gov. Brian Kemp specifically described the new law - titled 'The Election Integrity Act of 2021' - as one that would make it easier to vote and harder to cheat."
Maybe some would prefer a law that makes it easier to cheat and harder to vote.

Shame on all of them. Their chutzpah boggles the mind. The 80 million plus of those who did not vote for the posse that is currently occupying the White House will have our say, hopefully by boycotts and not bullets.

Harsh, overpriced coffee sweetened by pounds of sugary substances, really, really bad movies, a mail order company that still owes me a hundred dollar refund but has refused to pay since December when my order was stolen internally - it's so easy to give up anti-American garbage.

#13, you beat me to it. But I will add to your post - given the stand they are taking, does this mean that I can show up at any of their annual meetings without showing an ID and can I vote without having to prove that I am a shareholder?

Where can I sign a letter opposing all these CEO's. We have one person, one vote in this country. A hundred CEO's do not determine policy in this country, do they?
