I haven’t seen one person say that everything should stay the same after the Uvalde, Texas, mass shooting that took the lives of young children. Everyone wants to have some sort of change, and it’s definitely time for that change. Solutions began coming to the surface that are both realistic and unrealistic The cacophony of “do something” was heard by Republicans. As my colleague Jeff Charles reported, they moved rather quickly to codify the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse in law. The Elijah Barrett Prettyman Courthouse in Washington, D.C. is center stage this month to two competing tales of stolen presidential elections. In the courtroom of U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper, federal prosecutors have presented a detailed account of the greatest scandal in U.S. political history: the conspiracy of the country’s most powerful interests to fabricate the Trump-Russia collusion hoax in order to sabotage Donald Trump before the 2016 election.

Texas cops said last night that they didn't immediately rush in to find the shooter on Tuesday's attack after being shot at because they feared they might be killed, and even suggested that they deliberately locked the gunman in the classroom where he slaughtered 21 people in order to trap him. Department of Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez made the astonishing comments during an appearance on CNN last night.(Snip)'So they were able to contain that gunman inside that classroom so that he was not able to go to any other portions of the school to commit any other killings,' Lt. Embattled GOP Rep. Liz Cheney is down 30 points in a new survey of her August primary conducted by the Club for Growth, which is backing her opponent. The poll, which provides perhaps the starkest illustration yet of the political peril Cheney faces this year, shows Wyoming attorney Harriet Hageman garnering 56 percent of the vote to the incumbent’s 26 percent in the GOP primary. A third Republican got 12 percent support, and just 6 percent are undecided. Hageman was recruited and endorsed by former President Donald Trump in response to Cheney’s vote to impeach him last year alongside nine

Ramos' mother also said that she was unaware that her son had been purchasing the weapons. The teen purchased two AR-15 style rifles

Video emerging online from Tuesday’s schoolchildren massacre in Uvalde, Texas shows local police more concerned with stopping parents than stopping the killer. Parents were pleading, “Give me the vest, I’ll go in there!” but some ended up in handcuffs instead of vests. Before you watch this video, please remember that these are Robb Elementary School parents who have been waiting fruitlessly outside of their own children’s school while a madman was allowed all the time in the world to complete his rampage. There’s no violence, no blood, and it’s still one of the most difficult videos I’ve ever watched. [Tweet] What led to these arrests, at least in part,

During recent prepared remarks, President Joe Biden said the the ‘protests’ in the summer of 2020 unified people of every generation. First of all, they were more like riots than protests. Secondly, the only people they united were the far left radicals doing the rioting. Most people were repulsed by the left’s behavior. Parts of cities were burned or destroyed in other ways. Biden thinks this was unifying? This transcript is directly from the White House:

In recent years, a rash of companies suddenly discovered a new “woke” identity, taking sides with the left in America’s ongoing cultural civil war. Now, after a powerful popular backlash, many of those same companies are retreating from the fight. Smart move. Companies have apparently discovered that Instapundit’s oft-quoted rhyme, “Get woke, go broke,” isn’t a joke. It’s more like an economic truism. Americans, it seems, don’t like having their cherished cultural, personal, religious and moral beliefs belittled, diminished and ridiculed by the very corporations they do business with.

A ray of hope for a war-ravaged Ukraine? A blockade broken? No, America in the year 2022. Simultaneously, the president invoked the Defense Production Act to force American companies to produce more baby formula. Our response to a problem caused by domestic regulation and protectionism has been to militarize it. I’m sorry, Mr. President, but this solution is infantile.

President Joe Biden's ban on menthol cigarettes will put black communities at risk of more violent interactions with police, according to myriad experts ranging from former law enforcement to left-wing constitutional attorneys. The Biden administration has made no secret of the fact that targeting menthol cigarettes is meant to change the behavior of the black community, alleging that a ban will help reduce racial disparities in the health care system. Criminalizing black people's behavior, according to the Biden administration, is the best course of action. "Black smokers prefer menthol products, and the Biden administration's decision to ban menthol cigarettes will inevitably fuel an already well-established, lucrative, and violent illicit market,"

The 18-year-old’s shooting rampage lasted 40 minutes to an hour, Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw initially told reporters.

A casual reader perusing the headlines about last Tuesday’s Georgia primaries could easily get the impression that former President Trump was running for office in the Peach State. Many corporate media outlets featured his name before identifying the actual candidates. Wednesday morning, for example, Politico ran a story titled, “Trump flops in Georgia: 5 takeaways from a big primary night.” This and many similar articles missed the two most important news stories: Georgia Republicans refuse to sabotage themselves by engaging in counterproductive infighting, and record turnout thoroughly debunked the Democratic “voter suppression” narrative.

Thirty-four percent said gun violence would remain about the same. Only five percent said they believed gun violence would decrease in the next few years.

Vladimir Lenin supposedly once said, “The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” There’s some doubt as to whether this line is genuine; regardless, it seems like a pretty good description of what the Biden administration is doing to Ameri ca’s middle class. Inflation is running rampant. The Producer Price Index, the most useful measure of general inflation, is up a whopping 16.3% from April 2021, per the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That means that roughly $1 out of every $6 that people earn has been lost to inflation in a single year.

An off-duty border patrol agent has told how he evacuated children including his own eight-year-old daughter from Robb Elementary School, armed with a shotgun he had grabbed from his barber's as he left to dash to the site. Jacob Albarado, a father of three, received a text message from his wife Trisha - a fourth grade math and science teacher at the school - when he was in the barber's chair. 'There's an active shooter,' she said. 'Help. I love you.' Albarado leapt up and grabbed a shotgun the barber lent him, and rushed to the school.
