A man wielding a rifle near an elementary school in Toronto was shot and killed by police on Thursday.
Police officers responding to a report of an armed man walking down a Toronto neighborhood street shot the man after he confronted officers, Toronto's police chief said. The incident led to the lockdown of five nearby schools, according to city officials. The shooting comes days after a gunman stormed an elementary school in Texas, killing 21 people.

One advantage the Republican Party has had over Democrats for several years now is moral credibility. When Harvard University and other Ivy League schools confessed to discriminating against applicants based on race and skin color, specifically against white and Asian students, Democrats had no problem with the practice, including President Joe Biden. Meanwhile, Republicans have been understandably vocal in denouncing the policies.
Similarly, when racial bigotry rears its ugly head from Republicans, action is taken. When former Republican Iowa Congressman Steve King made “white supremacist” comments, he was rebuked by a vote of 416-1 in the House of Representatives,

Republican Florida state Rep. Randy Fine issued a veiled threat against Joe Biden's life if he tried to take away guns after the president issued a call for gun control.
'I have news for the embarrassment that claims to be our President — try to take our guns and you’ll learn why the Second Amendment was written in the first place,' Fine wrote on Twitter, in a post that was heavily ratioed.
The tweet received nearly 6,000 replies, about 2,000 retweets and 147 favorites about three hours after it was posted.

One of the lowlights of the Sunday shows this weekend came when Speaker Nancy Pelosi showed up on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash. Despite all of the other disasters going on around the world at the moment, Bash inevitably asked Pelosi about the leaked Supreme Court opinion indicating that the court is preparing to overturn Roe v Wade next month. Pelosi started off by branding the conservative justices on the court as being “dangerous,” threatening families, freedom, democracy, and probably puppies for good measure. But she wasn’t about to let the matter drop there.

There are many fascinating aspects of the modern left that are truly a marvel to watch, and their total lack of self-awareness my be at the top of the list. Living in an echo chamber as they do, they face no accountability from their media. They’re neither questioned on their hypocrisy nor asked to rationalize it. Making the most nonsensical assertions isn’t just ignored, it’s applauded, and we’ve seen examples time and again.

As bad as Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg are, the idea of Hillary Clinton joining this foolish gaggle is similar to Revenge of the Sith when Emperor Palpatine sends Darth Vader to join the trade federation folks on Mustafar.
Yes, the Trade Federation goons were misguided and corrupt, but they weren’t evil Sith lords. Hillary Clinton is the evil Sith Lord. (Seriously, didn’t you see this picture?)
Star Wars references aside, Hillary Clinton was recently named as a possible contender for not-so-conservative Megan McCain’s temporary replacement. It would absolutely be a ratings bonanza for the somehow-watched show featuring out-and-out racists and Holocaust deniers. It would also be horrendous for everyone else.

Casey White is a dangerous survivalist with no regard for human life, more likely to go out in a hail of bullets than surrender, DailyMail.com can reveal.
This is the view of a man who served time with White, 38, and has spent time with him both in and out of prison.
Robert McBay, 29, spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com as the manhunt for White and former corrections officer Vicky White, 56 (no relation) enters its eleventh day.
McBay, who was born and raised in Limestone, Alabama, served time with Casey in 2015 when the fugitive was arrested after a violent crime spree

One of the more ingenious aspects of our Constitution is its requirement that our military leaders are accountable to non-military officials. All our generals and admirals ultimately report to the Secretary of Defense and his underlings at the Pentagon who are part of the Executive Branch of government. Our Legislative Branch of government, aka Congress, is responsible for, among other things, funding and monitoring the Executive Branch, aka the White House, which is why we have committees such as the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Republican Senate candidate Kathy Barnette called out Dr. Mehmet Oz during a tense exchange about abortion, revealing she was the byproduct of rape.
On Wednesday, candidates for Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary gathered for a debate as they attempt to sway voters before the May 17 primary election.
Candidates were asked about their stance on abortion days after Justice Samuel Alito's draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion nationwide, was leaked.
It was then that candidate Kathy Barnette, a conservative political commentator, explained her personal connection to the pro-life movement, revealing she was the byproduct of a rape.

Democrats would have us believe that January 6th last year was one of the darkest days in American history. It wasn’t. In fact, it’s not even in the top 1,000. But it was a horrible day in another regard. It was on January 6, 2021 when we learned that in the runoff elections the day before, both U.S. Senate seats in Georgia had flipped from Republican to Democrat, including the seat won by Raphael Warnock who defeated Republican Kelly Loeffler.
With the loss of those two seats, the chamber became split evenly at 50-50, Republicans to Democrats, and with Vice-President Kamala Harris being the tie-breaking vote,

What’s that I hear?
I think it’s the howls of rage and fury emanating from a Montecito mansion in the hours after Meghan Markle had the crushing realisation that pretending to be a Hollywood ‘Duchess’ means nothing in the cutthroat world of American TV.
Netflix, which just 14 months ago at the height of the pandemic subscriber boom, employed the Sussexes in an unprecedented exclusive telly deal worth tens of millions, has had a crushing realisation of its own: Viewers of the once-great streaming platform aren’t going to keep paying to be force fed a succession of painfully PC dramas about pregnant men

Fake news. Canada has super strict gun laws, no way this could happen up there.
