The Texas gun store where teen school shooter Salvador Ramos got an AR-15-style rifle before his rampage was previously part of an ammunition smuggling case involving the Mexican drug cartel, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In 2009, a businessman from Uvalde’s neighboring town of Eagle Pass was accused of trying to smuggle more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition into Mexico, ICE said.
The firepower was purchased at Oasis Outback LLC in Uvalde — the same gun shop where Ramos got one of the rifles found inside Robb Elementary School after he massacred 21 people there last week.

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Don Lemon Tonight,” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) argued that it has been proven that if a shooter “has weapons of war, and has the unbelievable automatic weapon,” then a law-abiding citizen with a gun responding “doesn’t work.”
Jackson Lee said, “We have no universal background checks here in the United States or Texas. And so, right in my district, in the NRA convention, they were selling guns without background checks at the private gun shows. They don’t care about domestic abuse. They don’t care about intervention on violence, no laws. And they don’t have any red flag laws and they certainly have not banned assault

The Uvalde public school district is no stranger to campus lockdowns. In October 2021, Mayor Don McLaughlin reported the district had been forced into lockdowns 48 times during the first few months of the school year, largely due to human smuggler pursuits near campuses.
At the time, Uvalde Mayor McLaughlin joined with a commission of local government representatives of Kinney and Uvalde Counties to demand action from the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) regarding the growing border crisis, Breitbart Texas’ Randy Clark reported. The county and city officials detailed the consequential impact of the border crisis on local resources.

Sometimes something is so horrifying that you simply cannot process it – your brain tells you that it’s not real, that it can’t be real, but the horror now approaching us is all too real. Millions of people are likely to starve to death in the next year – we know it’s coming, we know why, and yet our garbage ruling caste is paralyzed. Inflation, particularly of fossil fuels, and the crop failures caused by lack of fertilizers (again, exacerbated by lack of fossil fuels), will mean mass starvation. Oh, when the TV is filled with pictures of skeletal kids, the regime adherents will mean mass starvation

Former President Barack Obama used the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, to memorialize the death of George Floyd, even though the two tragedies have almost no relation. Indeed, Wednesday, May 25, marks the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer, but instead of just commemorating the day on its own, the former president tied the horrific massacre in Texas, which left 19 children and two teachers dead, to Floyd’s memory. “As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under

With hysteria ramping up as cases of the rare monkeypox virus keep popping up in multiple countries, President Joe Biden made his first public comments on the disease which could conceivably usher in a sequel to the mandates and restrictions that were imposed during the COVID pandemic.
The press caught up with the “leader” of the free world who is visiting South Korea on his first trip to Asia since taking office and asked Biden for his input on whether the monkeypox cases in Europe and the U.S. were something “to be concerned about”
“Well they haven’t told me the level of exposure yet but it is something that

At least eight people were shot, two of them fatally, outside a Chicago McDonald’s Thursday night about 10:40 p.m.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports eight people shot, two killed, and ABC 7 reports nine people were shot, two fatally.
Two groups of individuals were fighting at the restaurant “in the 800-block of North State Street” when an individual in one of the groups pulled a gun and began shooting.
The gunman fled down steps to a subway platform after firing the shots and the group that was with him ran down the steps as well.
Two adult men were killed when the bullets began to fly.
The Sun-Times notes that one of the

Dramatic footage shows the wild, high-speed chase involving the motorbiker who was “cooked alive” in a blaze that started when he was tased by a deputy.
Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez held a press conference Thursday to share the footage and announce charges against the deputy who deployed his Taser against 26-year-old Jean Barreto on Feb. 27.
The footage shows a man on a dirt bike wearing an orange helmet, whom the sheriff’s office has identified as Barreto, fleeing from a patrol vehicle at a high rate of speed in Osceola County.

That which cannot be said
The Senate Interior Committee held a hearing yesterday to examine the Biden administration’s fiscal year 2023 budget request for the Department of the Interior. The committee has posted video of the hearing here.
The hearing presented an opportune moment for Interior Secretary Deborah Haaland to let her light shine and she did not disappoint. In the clip below Secretary Haaland avoids answering the question whether gas prices are too high.
Staff anxiously placed notes in front of Haaland with the all-purpose answer to brain teasers seeking to elicit that which

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) on Wednesday announced plans to create a police unit designed to, in part, combat “hate speech” in the wake of the tragic shooting in Buffalo, promising to “confront this epidemic head-on.”
“We’re proposing a comprehensive plan to combat domestic terrorism, strengthen state gun laws, & investigate social media platforms promoting violent extremism,” Hochul announced Wednesday.
“In wake of the racist act of terror in Buffalo, New York will lead the charge to confront this epidemic head-on,” she added: /snip for Tweet/ One of the governor’s executive orders instructs the State Police to establish a “dedicated unit within the New York State Intelligence

So, is it real now, guys? The Left has regarded the baby formula shortage crisis as a Fox News invention. It’s not a real problem in the minds of liberal America who are nestled in their coastal and urban strongholds. That’s not shocking coming from the camp that despises motherhood and raising families. For one Biden cabinet secretary, the crisis has hit close to home. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg admitted he can’t find baby formula for his twin kids. Buttigieg took paternity leave while the nation has become engulfed in a supply chain crisis (via NY Post):
