Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, on Friday said he has been lied to by law enforcement about the facts around Tuesday's Uvalde school shooting, and said he was 'livid'. 'I was misled,' Abbott said on Friday, addressing a press conference in Uvalde.'I am livid about what happened. I was on this very stage two days ago, and I was telling the public information that had been told to me in a room just a few yards from where we are write now. 'I wrote hand notes in sequential order. 'When I came out on that stage and told the public what happened, it was a recitation of what

Any cop who was there and failed to attack the killer should be fired and never work again. Why are we paying so much for law enforcement that does nothing? It's time for vigilante justice.

Kind of puts a dent in that "You don't need a gun, the police will protect you" BS, doesn't it?

The police are trying to come up with a story that doesn't make them out to be totally useless. If shooting starts, grab your gun and shoot back. If a crowd of parents needs to be controlled and handcuffed, call the police.

Bless you, Governor, but the guilty are not known for telling the truth. I do hope you will get mad and do something, about this, and about the border. This is Texas, a sovereign state. You don't need Biden's permission to put invaders back on the other side of the border. Really would appreciate it if you would force ERCO to fix the power situation. Their excuses about no energy for the last 2 years has gone stale.

Greg Abbott is the Governor of Texas. He was not in Uvalde when the school shooting incident took place. So in order for him to give the people of Texas an accurate update on what occurred with the school shooting he had to rely on a whole bunch of people who were there, including local, County, and State law enforcement. If they gave the Governor false or misleading information to cover their cowardly butts, causing the Governor to put out an update that in some respects were very inaccurate look for those people to loose their law enforcement jobs and positions.

He'll need to destroy & humiliate the police chief & every cop who stood there.
That's the least to be done.

Suggestion to all politicians: Rather than immediately adopting someone else’s narrative, about an event. say something like, “so far we have learned from the chief that (fill in the blank).” Let the chief own the story and make sure you are not the only one buying it.

Video shows a teacher open the door and prop it open...3 minutes later guy wrecks the car, gets out with a gun and starts shooting at some guys from the funeral parlor that were running to see if he needed help...they run the other way, call cops, meanwhile teacher sees shooter guy heading her way...she goes inside, leaving the door propped open...gets a call phone comes back out calls 911 about a man with a gun...he comes around the corner and starts shooting into classroom windows, school cop pulls up...drives right past him...he shoots at more windows...starts moving towards the door where the teacher is...she runs inside, leaving the door propped open...school cop turns around and drives back past the shooter and across the street to the Funeral parlor, teacher heads to a classroom, shooter heads in the open door....meanwhile two city cop cars also arrive at the funeral parlor. Cops start piling up in the hallway...none outside the windows to the classroom.

I have noticed that former cops with YT channels are defending these guys and telling the public basically that they are stupid and don't understand tactics. Oh we understand alright, and we also understand trends leaning towards CYA behavior of the cops when these shootings occur. Started with Columbine, remember that? Those poor kids and teachers hanging out windows begging to be rescued and the cops just hid behind bushes.
Then we have had Sandy Hook, Broward county and maybe a couple others. Maybe if the cops would do their jobs we would not be so angry with them.

The uvalde cops face book page have them all posed in tac camo, full battle rattle, carrying ar's...or M4's.
They look like a "Seal Team"....on Fazbuk.
The School Police Chief was also just elected as district 3 council member...14,000 residents, 8900 registered voters...he got elected with 226 votes, not BY 226...226 total.

What we've learned from Columbine, Parkland, and Uvalde, is that the authorities can't identify potential crazies, and the police can't be trusted in an active shooter situation. The last line of defense for the students was the teachers, and as heroic as some of them were in Columbine, Parkland, and Uvalde, they were unarmed and helpless. After the Parkland, Fla shooting, firearms-qualified teachers were given the right to carry in schools. The same thing should be done in Texas.

Reply to #2- Most police response times are 15 minutes or more. That's a lifetime in a situation like a home invasion. My 911 call is a round hitting the chamber.

As a former teacher, Columbine brought about many changes to school security and about how school COUNSELORS were to be aware of kids that might be a potential threat due to bullying, teasing and other signs of home life getting the students in deteriorating mental states.
The key here is that if there was shooting going on, and from the time line the delay in law enforcement going in is inexcusable. There is no covering your assses in a situation like this.
Misjudging this as a hostage situation doesn't cut it either. The reports that Ramos "stormed" the building is also inaccurate, just like the people WHO WERE LET IN as barricades at the Capitol in DC were moved out of the way did not really mean "stormed" either.
A teacher had propped a door open which is normally locked for some reason, and there was no way to be "buzzed in" at this school like had been done at the high school.
It is quite revealing that certain politicians and cellebrites were IMMEDIATELY at the ready to politicize this WITHOUT REGARD for the loss of human life, namely INNOCENT CHILDREN.
That tells you just about EVERYTHING about who doesn't give a damn about you!! Take note, and write their names down--NEVER, EVER vote for or support those soulless persons again!

At least seven (7) police officers were on the scene, in the hallway outside the classrooms...and stood there while the shooting went on. Well, then, obviously what's needed in the schools are more SROs. And than we find a teacher propped open the door used for entry. But let's spend BILLIONS for more "security" when using a door lock would help. (I hope leaving the door propped open was a coincidence.)

I am sorry for the second post. But after reading #12's post, I just had to ask..A teacher, how do we know it was a teacher, props open a door in a locked down school? Who did that? Which teacher? This is on the video! NO ONE props open a door to a locked down school. And if this was a hallway door, what reason for the door to be opened. It certainly would not help with a breeze into the classrooms to help cool. What purpose would an open door be for. I worked in a school. Doors were locked. Everyone came thru the front entrance. Boggles my mind to think a person did this. and, after hearing gunshots, leaves the door open! unbelievable

Few people are covered in glory here. That is sad and they will all have to live with themselves for the rest of their lives. Wrong moves, bad judgements and just plain inaction!
That being said I believe this is a direct result of the "hate the police" movement in this country. Every LEO now second-guesses what they should do! If I'm wrong I lose my job, my pension and I can go to jail!
We now see the horrible after effects of not supporting cops. Standing outside that locked classroom some of the 19 were probably saying out loud: "If we kill this guy they'll take question why --- and we won't be heroes". Sad.

Schools have been a target because it's a gun free zone and these little thugs know...no one there to stop me...ALL schools must have locks on all doors and an armed guard at the one door open to the public...and BTW...it's reported that this creep had body armor on...where the hell did an 18 year old get body armor....hope I'm wrong...but makes you wonder...was he set up by anyone to cause a new narrative for the woke crowd...he was listed on government sheets to be a troublemaker....trust...but verify!!

Police rushed the classroom 2 minutes after the shooting started. The doors were locked. The shooter was firing through the door. Two officers ended up with minor injuries. The shooter was hiding behind the very same doors that were supposed to keep him out.
911 calls were coming from students inside the classrooms. One of them said there were 8-9 students still alive inside the classroom. This was a hostage situation. Police couldn't shoot blindly. They were as likely to hit a student as the shooter.
Not ready to blame the police for this. If blame needs to be placed, blame the shooter.
As for Governor Abbott, he is in CYA mode.

As Gov. Abbott was lied to by police officials, we should expect him to be asking for badges and resignations. We do not want to hear bureaucratic runaround either. It is a total disgrace that Chief of Police has not the honor to face his community and resign - yesterday. As it is, we pray for our Governor to see to the tough decisions which must be forthcoming.
