This Christmas marks 75 years since Oscar-winning director Frank Capra released arguably the greatest movie ever made.
Finding life lessons in It’s a Wonderful Life is like finding sand at the beach. Every time you go to it, you find more and more. This year is no exception.
It’s a Wonderful Life is Not a Hallmark Christmas Movie
You know I love me those Hallmark Christmas movies. But watching It’s a Wonderful Life this year, a thought struck me. It’s a Wonderful Life is no Hallmark Christmas movie. No matter how many Hallmark Christmas movies try to mimic It’s a Wonderful Life.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Thanksgiving, with gratitude for our many blessings, although these are becoming scarcer over the past two years. At the same time, we received news of a new COVID variant. It seems the world is on some type of Chinese gift registry where we receive quarterly presents, starting with the original Chinese coronavirus, followed every few months by a new variant and subsequent lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates.
This coronavirus is acting more like a herpes virus, the one that gives us cold sores that seem to come and go on their own cycle. But these COVID variants are far more bothersome than a lip blister

The major U.S. media, including Fox News and the conservative blogosphere, are completely ignoring this news from Japan. The House's select committee on the January 6 Capitol attack voted 9-0 to hold Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress. WASHINGTON—The Air Force has discharged 27 people for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, making them what officials believe are the first service members to be removed for disobeying the mandate to get the shots. She said all of them were in their first term of enlistment, so they were younger, lower-ranking personnel. The Air Force gave its forces until Nov. 2 to get the vaccine, and thousands have either refused or sought an exemption. Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said Monday that these are the first airmen to be administratively discharged for reasons involving the vaccine.

As a recent wave of mob-led store robberies has put retailers, mall operators and communities on edge, one popular shopping center is keeping an unusual security measure in place through the holiday season. Management added the "tangled tape" coil fencing, which is made from a custom aluminum-and-steel mesh, ahead of Thanksgiving weekend. President Biden's Build Back Better bill contains provisions to make child care more affordable, but could have the opposite effect for middle class families, according to a new study. 'The new program would act like a $20,000 to $30,000 annual tax on middle-income families,' Casey Mulligan, economics professor at University of Chicago and Trump-era economic adviser writes in a piece on the study for the Wall Street Journal. Mulligan estimates that by removing financial incentives to offer low-cost care and increasing regulations, the cost of daycare for a middle families could surge 102 to 122 percent.

Researchers said that they may have discovered the molecular-level cause of Alzheimer’s disease.
Scientists at the University of California–Riverside said in recent findings that the key to understanding Alzheimer’s may have to do with “tau” proteins that likely cause neurofibrillary tangles—which are found in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. Previously, researchers suggested that amyloid plaques, which are a buildup of amyloid peptides, may be the cause.
Both amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles are critical indicators that doctors look for when trying to diagnose Alzheimer’s.

As has been clear for some time now, the fortunes of Joe Biden’s Build Back Better legislation and the state of the US economy are inextricably linked. Time Magazine isn’t exactly known for being a news outlet with a lot of love for the good guy. It often awards its “Person of the Year” title to people who are in vogue on the left.
This is the magazine that declared Adolf Hitler was the winner in 1938, then named Joseph Stalin the winner the very next year. In 2011, they named “the protester” the person of the year, and then Greta Thunberg in 2019. To be sure, they’ve put their fair share of Republicans on the cover for the award,

The suppression of the off-patent, hence low-profit, drug ivermectin for use in preventing and treating COVID is grotesque and inhumane. In the report Harris chose to simply ignore her many failures since achieving office while carping that her critics simply do not understand the difficulties involved in discharging her duties.

Would you rather pay lower prices than higher prices to heat your home this winter? Well, too bad. Brandon is worried about the climate, what with all those tornadoes and such, so he’s pushing a new tax that’ll raise your heating bill by 16% this winter alone.
Background on the new tax and the cost imposed by it comes from the Wall Street Journal, which reported that the House of Representatives just passed a stealth tax on natural gas. According to the WSJ:The bill slaps an escalating tax on methane emissions by oil and gas producers that will reach $1,500 per ton by 2025.

On Sunday's Meet the Press, Chuck Todd gathered around him (snip) John Heilemann, a leftist journalist; Marianna Sotomayor, a leftist journalist; Brendan Buck, an ostensible Republican who worked for Paul Ryan and John Boehner; and Kimberly Atkins Stohr, a leftist journalist. All five were unanimous: democracy in America is over because Americans don't believe that Biden honestly won his seat in the White House. The hyperbole was thick in the air, along with more than a soupçon of hypocrisy and a huge dollop of fear. John Heilemann contends that 20 to 30 million people are lusting after political violence, which he immediately analogizes to lynching.

In “normal” times, the practice of medicine has many challenges, some from within and some from outside the profession. (snip) What changed overnight and across the board, was an anti-science attitude across all specialties to everything related to COVID. A viral infection is not something requiring government management, rather, its encounter is part of a physician’s daily medical practice. The government has seemingly accomplished what medical insurers, medical boards, and hospitals tried, but had not yet succeeded at: complete mind control of physicians. And with that, the last vestige of respect I had for my profession died.

Crime is spilling into Minneapolis’ suburbs, putting the neighborhoods "under attack from mobile criminals," one local mayor said. Our town, and our neighboring towns, have had their security and serenity under attack from mobile criminals who are coming into Edina and other nearby communities to steal private property and in some cases injuring people who resist or assist a victim," Edina Mayor Jim Hovland said in an email to residents of the town Sunday, Fox 9 reported. "Edina residents have become angry and fearful. The peace and tranquility of our community has been disrupted. At a time when we should

Sharing an article on how Scottish police are “logging rapists as women,” author J.K. Rowling managed to enrage the woke mob yet again on Sunday.
“Police have been criticised for saying they will record rapes by offenders with male genitalia as being committed by a woman if the attacker ‘identifies as a female,’” the Times UK report begins. “Police Scotland said that they would log rapes as being carried out by a woman if the accused person insists, even if they have not legally changed gender.”
Taking a jab at the logic, the “Harry Potter” author commented: “War is Peace.

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Science says that most clowns are riddled with chlamydia.
Had a fun few nights doing some shows with my good friend and colleague Kevin Downey Jr. Keep on the lookout for the “Unwoke Comedy Tour” in your city in 2022. OK, if you’re in a leftist blue city you probably shouldn’t look too hard.It was refreshing to be in small-town America for a couple of nights just to remember that not all of the country has lost its mind.

The husband of U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appears less than enthusiastic about having to repay his student loans.
Chasten Buttigieg, who recently became a father to newborn twins with the transportation secretary, posted a screenshot on Instagram Saturday of a notification that his student loan relief from the COVID-19 pandemic will expire on January 31, 2022.
"These are the guys who complained that they couldn’t afford rent in DC on Pete’s $220K salary (and all their money from writing books)," Republican strategist Matt Whitlock commented. "A good reminder that the left’s ‘cancel student loan debt’ goal would overwhelmingly help financially comfortable people."

The NBC media panel for Meet the Press is absolutely apoplectic about their inability to destroy President Donald Trump and his supportive base of pragmatic, awakened Americans. The pearl-clutching and fear are palpable, as the leftist roundtable contemplates future elections that may deconstruct decades of election control, manipulation, fraud and falsehood. What the panel of John Heilemann, Marianna Sotomayor, Kimberly Atkins Stohr and Brendan Buck really fear is the pesky system within our constitutional republic we call ‘federalism’. They need to keep their attacks against Donald Trump cast in the role of eliminating baby Hitler simply to avoid confronting the flaws in their own ideological arguments. CORRECTION*

Communists are very good at the waiting game. They take the long view and bide their time. They’ve been slowly, but efficiently, infiltrating American institutions for more than half a century. Education, media, and entertainment have all fallen quietly to the left where the conspirators have been waiting decades for a chance to implement their evil plans. As if on cue, the administration of Barack Obama provided the platform for a large-scale assault on the United States Constitution and the American way of life. We are still witnessing the aftermath of that onslaught. The left now owns most of the powerful positions inside the constitutional government as well as

Now that the City Council has generously granted noncitizens the vote, it should be obvious why President Biden has laid out the welcome mat to migrants at the southern border. Today’s illegal migrant is tomorrow’s Democratic voter, goes the calculus, and pesky formalities like citizenship just delay the glorious process. Fittingly, one of Mayor de Blasio’s last acts of vandalism against the city will be to sign this abomination into law. Cue Gov. Ron DeSantis, who plans to deport illegal migrants flown secretly into Florida from the southern border by the Biden administration. Destination: Delaware, the president’s home state, or Martha’s Vineyard, Barack Obama’s holiday paradise

Some of the most progressive Democrats in Congress are supporting new legislation that could help an unexpected group: those who were arrested and imprisoned without trial for playing a role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Democratic Reps. Hank Johnson (Ga.) and Jamie Raskin (Md.) on Wednesday reintroduced the Bivens Act, which would allow citizens to recover damages for constitutional violations committed against them by federal law enforcement officials.
The bill, which the lawmakers first introduced last year, seeks "to provide a civil remedy for an individual whose rights have been violated by a person acting under federal authority." It would do this by adding five words —

California Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to pass legislation modeled on Texas’ abortion law to empower private citizens to enforce the state’s laws against assault weapons.
Newsom, incensed by the Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday that allowed the Texas law to remain in effect while abortion clinics challenge it, called on the state legislature and the attorney general to craft legislation that would authorize private citizens to sue “anyone who manufactures, distributes, or sells an assault weapon or ghost gun kit or parts in CA.”

When it comes to the 2024 presidential election, Republicans are far more enthusiastic about former President Trump running again than Democrats are about President Biden gaining a second term, new data from the December I&I/TIPP Poll show. It’s yet another sign that, a mere 11 months into his term, Biden’s support remains surprisingly weak within his own party.
The I&I/TIPP Poll gave respondents the names of Trump and 15 other possible Republican candidates, asking “Who do you want to see run for president on the Republican ticket in 2024?” We asked the same question for the Democrats. We wrote about those results last week

merican humorist Edgar Wilson Nye famously observed, “Wagner’s music is better than it sounds.” Recently, the White House and its numerous allies in the “news” media have been telling an increasingly skeptical electorate a similarly self-refuting tale about the Biden economy. Typical of the stories that have appeared in major news outlets is this howler from CNN’s Julian Zelizer, who insists that there is “a huge disconnect between the economic data and the way voters are feeling.” Anyone naïve enough to believe such balderdash will be disabused of their illusions by reading Friday’s Bureau of Labor Statistics report showing that the consumer price index (CPI) has risen by 6.8 percent

Crotona Park East, the Bronx—A man slapped a 58-year-old woman in the face on a Bronx subway platform, police said Sunday. The woman was on the southbound platform of the 174th Street station on the morning of Dec. 1 when a man walked up to her, officials said. He attacked her and made an anti-Chinese statement. Video shows the woman hold her hands up and move to stand behind a garbage can.
The woman’s nose was scratched and she suffered pain to the face, but she refused medical attention, police said. Members of the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force are handling the investigation, officials said.

He’s the Grinch who stole your wallet. A serial pickpocket with more than 30 busts under his belt was pinched again last week while targeting unsuspecting tourists at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, only to be dumped back on the street the next day, law-enforcement sources and authorities told The Post. Gary Teasley, 65—who has been known to wear snazzy outfits, including a long dark fur coat and fashionable hat, during his alleged crimes—is so familiar to cops that they’re on a first-name basis, a source said.(Snip)“I’ve personally been arresting him for 20 years," a police source said.
