Upon taking office, Joe Biden pulled out his pen and phone and nixed the measure that had stemmed the tide of unqualified asylum applicants and trafficking of children. Soon after, with the Obama-era policy of releasing illegal immigrants into the interior with a court date back in place, the current surge at the border began.(snip) reaching record levels over 2021.(snip)
several states sued, leading to an order to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy. Last month, the Biden administration made the move to follow that order, (snip) as the government sought to appeal the decision.
Now, the 5th Circuit has slapped down that attempt at an appeal,

Kamala Harris has been such a disaster as vice president that even Old Joe Biden, whose year as president has hardly been Lincolnesque, wants to dissociate himself from her so much that he got Jill to switch places with him at Bob Dole’s funeral so that he wouldn’t have to be standing next to his cackling successor-in-waiting. But the vice president, like all Democrat politicians, has her own gaggle of establishment media sycophants. On Sunday, the San Francisco Chronicle published a lengthy puff piece about the embattled president of the Senate, explaining to us that despite all appearances, Kamala Harris really is totally awesome and has perfectly reasonable explanations for

The major U.S. media, including Fox News and the conservative blogosphere, are completely ignoring this news from Japan. Google and DuckDuckGo searches reveal only little-known websites, many with an ideological bent, picking up the news — which means that few will see it and many will disbelieve it. But NHK, the Japanese version of the BBC (snip), has the story. You can count on it being true.
Japan's health ministry has listed inflammation of the heart muscle and of the outer lining of the heart in younger males as possible serious side effects of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID vaccines. (snip)
The ministry held a panel of expert on

Researchers said that they may have discovered the molecular-level cause of Alzheimer’s disease.
Scientists at the University of California–Riverside said in recent findings that the key to understanding Alzheimer’s may have to do with “tau” proteins that likely cause neurofibrillary tangles—which are found in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. Previously, researchers suggested that amyloid plaques, which are a buildup of amyloid peptides, may be the cause.
Both amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles are critical indicators that doctors look for when trying to diagnose Alzheimer’s.

Cargo ships are backing up to Hawaii as they await unloading. Having Paternity Pete running the Department of Transportation was not bad enough. Biden just appointed someone with no cargo shipping experience as the U.S. Maritime Administrator.
The job is one of those little known offices that are important in times of crisis. You never really think of cargo shipping until someone foolishly shuts down the economy to stop a virus. The aftermath resulted in inflation and supply shortages. (snip)He appointed Rear Admiral Ann C. Phillips, United States Navy (Retired). She is a highly accomplished and able sailor. But her experience is in climate change, not shipping.

Apparently, the Biden administration’s relationship with El Salvador is on rocky ground. If you know anything about the history involved, those on the ideological left do not like Nayib Bukele, who is halfway through his first five-year term.(snip)Bukele then responded by sharing private text messages that showed the US Ambassador to El Salvador asking for the release of a man named Neto Muyshondt. Musyshondt was previously arrested on charges related to using government funds to pay off gang members and drug trafficking.
For some reason, the United States is really interested in Muyshondt being released.

In a stunning move that has stupefied and unsettled the swamp and its Big Tech and corporate media cohorts, U.S. Representative Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) is retiring from Congress to become chief executive officer of Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG). Nunes will commence his new role effective January 1.
Despite his personally momentous decision, as the current ranking member (and former chairman) of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Nunes knows he will be doing anything but retiring. While his duties have changed, his core mission remains: protecting and promoting Americans’ liberty in our free republic.

President Joe Biden on Monday announced he will travel to Kentucky later on this week to survey damage from tornadoes and severe storms.
"I intend to travel to Kentucky on Wednesday. And with each passing day, the human impact of this devastation -- just the depths of the losses -- are becoming more and more apparent," Biden told reporters on Monday during an Oval Office briefing on the storm with homeland security officials.(snip)In addition to urgent recovery efforts and food and water distribution, Biden said he would be asking his team to set up sites for booster shots and other public health efforts as Covid-19 cases rise across the country.

Despite bringing in a crisis comms manager in August in an attempt to get her office’s messaging game on track, Vice President Kamala Harris’s woes continue, most recently as it relates to her failed “root causes” visit to the Northern Triangle from June which has come back into the spotlight thanks to some rather revealing comments made by Guatemala’s President Alejandro Giammattei last week.(snip)Oddly enough, though, it was the Chronicle that was responsible for adding to what they hinted was a frivolity in coverage by writing a separate piece detailing how Harris had “redecorated” the vice president’s office in a way they suggested was more suitable for a woman of

Everyone’s hopes for a lower death toll in Kentucky came true on Sunday night as the candle factory—where 110 workers were working an overnight shift on Friday as a deadly twister hit—announced that it has been able to reach 90 survivors.
The company’s HR staff worked through the night Saturday into Sunday to call the emergency contact numbers for the missing as more power and phone lines came back online.
Sadly, eight employees were also confirmed dead, while another eight are still missing, according to company spokesperson Bob Ferguson.

The covid vaccines have been making headlines for a long time this year. Their side effects are also being discussed a lot, and these are the main reasons for which a lot of people are avoiding them. It’s been just revealed that Japan is now labeling Covid “vaccines” to warn of dangerous and potentially deadly side effects such as myocarditis.
(snip)
the country is reaffirming its commitment to adverse event reporting requirements to ensure all possible side effects are documented.
These efforts from Japan’s health authority are in stark contrast to the measures taken by other countries to coerce citizens into taking the injection, downplaying side effects, and discouraging proper adverse event reporting

At a time when the Biden administration is panicking in an attempt to keep energy prices down, the House has slapped a "fee" on methane that is being called a "stealth tax" on natural gas and everyone who uses it.
The House bill results in an "escalating tax on methane emissions by oil and gas producers," a new op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points out. The tax will hit $1,500 per ton by 2025 and the fee is supposed to be a contribution to recent promises made in Glasgow to curb methane emissions.
The cost of the fee will obviously get passed along to the consumer,
