After Much Speculation, Nancy Pelosi Reveals
Her 2022 Plans

There’s been much speculation surrounding what Nancy Pelosi, the 81-year-old Democrat apparatchik, and current House Majority Leader, will do next year. With her party almost certainly set to lose the congressional body she presides over, will she retire? Or will she keep going until she croaks? We now have an answer to that — at least for now, as I’m skeptical this couldn’t change.(Tweet) There’s something really pathetic and unseemly about someone in their 80s still feeling the need to desperately hold onto power like this. And to be fair, there are some Republicans that play this game as well.

If we can't have term limits on these decrepit old mummy skeletons, we should at least have a mandatory retirement age for all federal employees including the executive. I don't want 80 year old fossils like Xiden, Pelosi, McConnell and Faucxi running this country.

She stuck around for 12 years in the Minority waiting for her chance, and is beholden to the special interests who count on her, and others like her, to do their bidding. And, she can't be the one leading the pack out the door, as it will be an avalanche of retirements. Plus, her district is super safe, so even if she makes a very late decision, it will end up with some democrat holding that seat.

If she runs for re-election and then resigns after losing the House by the 80-100 seats I am predicting, she should be forced to pay for special election to replace her. She is rich enough from what she has stolen through insider trading over the years, let’s call it her “fair share”.

Congress has a spotty and inconsistent method for collecting fines from members and top staffers who break a federal law designed to stop insider trading and conflicts of interest, an Insider investigation found. Insider's investigation of financial disclosures found that 49 members of Congress and at least 182 of the highest-paid Capitol Hill staffers were late in filing their stock trades during 2020 and 2021. Lawmakers and senior congressional staffers who blow past the deadlines established by the 2012 Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act are supposed to pay a late fee of $200 the first time. Increasingly higher fines follow if they continue to be late —

But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours. Everyone around him treated it like an emergency. Not him. Was that a crime? Watch the end of this clip, starting at around 3:00.
