I admit, I am fired up about this story. It strikes a nerve on so many levels – paternal, cultural, political – that a review of the intentional, race-motivated, and horrific murder could do no less.
Though one need not be a parent to emotionally connect to the murder of 14-year-old Ryan Rogers, as a father I can’t help but have the idea reinforced that there are much better and stronger individuals than myself. I am not sure how any parent could restrain themselves against the monster that repeatedly stabbed my child in the face and head with a knife until their life was mutilated out of them.

How bad has crime become in major American cities? Bad enough that media camera crews now randomly witness it — or experience it first-hand. An NBC Sports team got robbed at gunpoint this weekend in Oakland, less than a fortnight after a photographer for the San Francisco Chronicle got robbed across the bay. And that’s not all so far this month:
An NBC Sports crew working on assignment in Oakland, California was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning, according to a report from The Mercury News, and the robbers got away with a camera from the crew’s vehicle.

Fox News host Martha MacCallum fired back at a BLM leader on Friday after he accused her of living from a place of “white privilege.”
During a heated segment of “The Story,” Hawk Newsome, who co-founded Black Lives Matter of Greater New York with his sister, accused MacCallum of “white privilege” as they discussed pro-police leaders in New York City. The host immediately snapped back at Newsome following the accusation, saying, “Don’t throw that at me.”
“People need to be safe, Hawk, people need to know that police are going to have their back,” said MacCallum,

A reporter interrupted Thursday’s press conference and confronted White House press secretary Jen Psaki over President Joe Biden’s “racist” travel restrictions against African countries over the Omicron variant.
The Biden administration, along with other nations, imposed travel restrictions on South Africa and its neighboring countries on Nov. 29, with the advice of White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci. South Africa had the first confirmed case of the variant, which has quickly spread to other parts of the globe.
Today News Africa reporter Simon Ateba said that South Africa only accounts for 6% of the Omicron variant cases,

'If he wanted to run, that's OK with me. I think we'd win by a lot.'
Former President Donald Trump continues to say Gov. Ron DeSantis won’t run against him in 2024 and can’t beat him if he does, while reminding voters DeSantis wouldn’t be Governor without Trump’s endorsement.
During an interview with South Florida radio host Brian Mudd, Trump offered his latest in a series of statements essentially claiming he made the Governor and DeSantis knows better than to run against him in 2024.
“I do think if I run, he won’t,” Trump said. “I know they try and create a friction. I don’t think it exists at all.

In the aftermath of the red wave in the November elections and amid national shifts toward the GOP in the generic ballot, some of the more moderate Democrats in the House are privately suggesting that another campaign based on nothing more than “not being Donald Trump” is probably not going to work out for them. Or at least that’s the gist of one analysis from Axios. Several Democratic lawmakers have been shifting the topics they highlight on social media in recent weeks, with some resorting to the old axiom about how “all politics is local.” But if that turns out to be the new game plan,

President Biden’s approval ratings have been crashing for months now, and a new survey from the Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics shows that he’s losing support even among young Americans.
The president, who came into office with a 59 percent approval rating among 18-29 year-olds, is now underwater among this age group with the survey showing a 46 percent approval rating.
Support among young Democrats has dropped 10 points since the spring and 14 points among young Independents. As Politico reported, the poll is alarming for Democrats given young Americans are a key segment of their base.

So much talk about Omicron; so much fear-mongering; so much talk about science. Most is nonsense. The best research has received little attention. It comes from esteemed, senior French scientist: Dr. Jacques Fantini, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Aix-Marseille.
You are about to learn what senior people in the public health establishment need to use, especially Fauci who claims he speaks for and represents “science.” If he knows the French research, he is not sharing it with the public, nor is the mainstream media. The key scientific achievement by Fantini is the calculation of one key parameter

President Joe Biden’s approval rating fell to 36.3%, with more than half of registered voters strongly disapproving of his job, according to the results of a poll released Wednesday.
The poll, conducted from Nov. 26 to Nov. 29 by Republican-leaning Trafalgar Group and Convention of States, found that only 18.1% of respondents “strongly approve” of Biden’s handling of the job, with another 18.2% choosing “approve” as the answer.
On the other hand, 52.2% of those polled said they “strongly disapprove” of the president’s performance in office, and 6.9% opted for the option that read “disapprove,” bringing Biden’s overall disapproval rating to 59.1%.

The Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments on Dec. 1 for a highly anticipated case that could dramatically alter abortion access in the United States.
While the court could overturn its landmark decision in Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion, observers have suggested the justices could take more complicated paths to allowing states the power to impose greater restrictions on abortion.
The case – Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health – is based on Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban, and could help craft a new standard for restrictions.

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) CEO Steve Simon said Saturday that email exchanges purportedly from Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai show “her responses were influenced by others.”
Simon has tried reaching out to Peng through “various communication channels” including email, CNN reported. Peng went missing shortly after accusing former top Chinese official Zhang Gaoli of sexual assault, and though she’s since been seen by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) president, concerns remain over her ability to speak freely.Simon has “decided not to re-engage via email until he was satisfied her responses were her own, and not those of her censors” after the emails made “clear” her responses were being influenced
