Tina Peters has been released from the southern Colorado prison she was in, according to the Colorado Department of Corrections. The former Mesa County Clerk who was found guilty of allowing unauthorized access to voting machines after the 2020 presidential election was never seen leaving prison. CBS Colorado has filed a request with the state for the details of her parole agreement and where she will be located. The CDOC released a statement early Monday saying: "The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) can confirm that Tina Peters was processed for release from CDOT custody today, June 1, 2026.

A Colorado district attorney charged a federal immigration officer with third-degree assault and criminal mischief on Tuesday in a move the Department of Homeland Security called "unlawful" and a "political stunt." Anne Francesca Stagi told investigators that Rice knocked her phone out of her hand while she was protesting outside a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Durango, according to The Associated Press.

The Associated Students of Fort Lewis College board voted against instating a Turning Point USA chapter at the college in front of a packed room Wednesday. A 15-year-old boy and his father were “beaten, handcuffed and forced to sign documents” after being arrested Monday in Durango by federal immigration officers, the boy’s mother told an immigrant services nonprofit.
