Why hasn’t Vice President Kamala Harris visited Port-au-Prince? She insisted that you need to examine the “root causes” in order to handle the border crisis. Well, in the past few months, Haiti’s president was assassinated and the island nation was hit by an earthquake and a hurricane. Those are some root causes. But Harris didn’t visit Haiti, and President Joe Biden’s administration barely reacted to the unrest — sending USAID to offer some nominal assistance. The Biden administration did nothing to make Haiti a more stable place to live, and through words and action sent the message that the US border is wide open.

The goal is 2045 for larger vehicles, such as medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses.

The Biden administration has been accused of trying to cover up the extent of the migrant crisis after the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) issued a flight ban over the US-Mexico border to stop drones capturing footage of the more than 10,000 people living camped out under a bridge. The FAA implemented a two-week flight ban over the Del Rio Port of Entry and the International Bridge in the city of Del Rio, Texas, Thursday night, claiming the move was for 'special security reasons' to prevent 'drones interfering with law enforcement flights on the border.' The shortstop said the condition hurt his performance throughout the season. “Some people say it’s from the vaccine. I will say it’s likely from that, too,” Gregorius said. “But when you say that, everyone looks at you like you’re stupid because the vaccine is not supposed to be like that

There are a number of reasons to explain the intense push from the Biden administration and the government medical bureaucracy to get people to take the COVID vaccine. From a wide search of the information available, I find it hard to believe that the actual health of people is one of the reasons. For example, why demand people with natural immunity get vaccinated? And why insist on vaccinating children when their risk of serious effects from the virus is minuscule? It make no scientific sense especially when the vaccine itself can possibly cause serious health issues for the young.

Immunity, according to the CDC website, is “Protection from an infectious disease. If you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without being infected.” (snip) breakthrough infections, on the rise, challenge the definition of immunity as “being exposed without being infected.” This would explain the CDC’s recent decision to change the definition of vaccine from immunity to only protection. These immunology basics are taught in high school biology classes and if understandable to teenagers, they should be clear to the medical establishment and leaders of our national health institutions.

When I think about the West’s project to liberate Afghan women, my mind conjures a line from T.S. Eliot: “The last temptation is the greatest treason/to do the right deed for the wrong reason.” In Afghanistan, we engaged in a twenty-year, deliciously self-righteous, tragically ill-designed mission best expressed by flipping that sentence. We did the wrong thing, perhaps for the right reason. We wanted to develop that country and rescue Afghan women. Their lives were hellish, girls banned from school, women forbidden to leave their homes except in the company of a male guardian, vigilantes beating them with sticks if their burqa was too short.

We’ll probably keep referring to it as a “$3.5 trillion” bill to avoid confusion, but it’s well worth noting that Democrats’ “human infrastructure” plan would actually cost far more — at least $5 trillion. The standard way to “score” costs is to say what they’d be over the first decade. So to reduce sticker shock, the bill pretends that key new entitlements — in particular, a huge expansion of Medicaid — will expire after just three years. In reality, at that point Dems will argue that it would be incredibly cruel to not fund “promised” benefits and suggest some new tax hikes to cover the added costs.
