Why hasn’t Vice President Kamala Harris visited Port-au-Prince? She insisted that you need to examine the “root causes” in order to handle the border crisis. Well, in the past few months, Haiti’s president was assassinated and the island nation was hit by an earthquake and a hurricane. Those are some root causes. But Harris didn’t visit Haiti, and President Joe Biden’s administration barely reacted to the unrest — sending USAID to offer some nominal assistance. The Biden administration did nothing to make Haiti a more stable place to live, and through words and action sent the message that the US border is wide open.

Everyone knows by now that a forthcoming Bob Woodward book alleges that General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), may have committed sedition during the Trump years. According to Woodward, Milley contacted the top Chinese general and assured him that everything was under control in spite of the eccentric Trump, that he (Milley) wouldn’t let Trump get us into war with China, and that he’d call them (the Chinese) if Trump were planning on that so there wouldn’t “be any surprises.”

During your show on 8 September 2021, you commented on the shortage of ICU beds, saying “Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right on in, we’ll take care of you. Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy.” I take issue with your commentary for three primary reasons: 1) the comments appear to be racially discriminatory, 2) the comments are not founded in science and serve to further divide a country that, unfortunately, is taking medical advice from too many non-physicians, and 3) the suggestion that doctors should selectively treat patients is unethical.

A minor earthquake shook the City of Angels on Friday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The agency reported a magnitude of 4.3 on the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale with an epicenter in Carson, Calif., which is Los Angeles County.
The 15-second-long temblor caused a Marathon Petroleum refinery to lose power and resort to dramatic flaring, scaring locals, the Los Angeles Times reported.
There are about five quakes per year that rank between 4.0 and 5.0 on the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale, the paper said.
There were no immediate reported of injuries or damage, the Associated Press reported.
