Obama told Trump 'I can't think of anything'

Then-President-elect Donald Trump is said to have asked outgoing-President Barack Obama in 2017 what he thought his biggest mistake was as they traveled from the White House to the Capitol building, according to a new book."Peril" by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa gives a political insight into the months before and after the 2020 election, including the COVID pandemic, the Jan. 6 riot, and the 2020 campaign. However, as it covers the inauguration of President Biden, the book reports that the Trump experience of the inauguration – where he took off in Marine One to Mar-a-Lago ahead of the ceremony – was "full circle" from his own inauguration in 2017.

What an arrogant SOB. Everything Obama did was a mistake. Obamacare for one...people were forced from costly but reasonable plans, to $1, 400 per month with a $6,000 deductible. My sister's family had three health events that straddled the two year's. With their old plan total out of pocket would have been $4,500. With Obamacare they had $18,000 out of pocket and had to continue to pay the $1,400 premium. To that we can add Benghazi...although he was not present and no one demanded to know where he actually was. Four abandoned, now, dead. It was that video, you know, but now, "what difference does it make?" Then, there was honoring that great soldier who "served with honor and distinction" Bowe Bergdahl and his goofy parents in the Rose Garden. He then traded the four terrorists who are running the show in Kabul these days. They're running the streets beheading children. Add the "Arab Spring" killing Gaddafi, the Iraq pullout and the rise of the ISIS, the "J.V. Team" and the many deaths that followed. I'm sure that I left a few. Nope, no mistakes, not one.

SOOOOOOO many answers to that question, it's too easy. However - while I hope DJT will run in 2024 and I will wholeheartedly support him, I would put the same question to him. Mr President - there were problems aplenty during your term. The combative social presence, the combative Media relationship, an anemic relationship with congress especially those back-stabbing republicans, the people you chose to be close to you, and, not to put too fine a point on it - again - those mean tweets. The entire world will be happy to point out your mistakes (with nary a mention of your tremendous successes) - but to you Sir, I ask: What have you learned; what will you do the same, and what differently? And Yes Mr. Trump, I'd really like to see your answer.

Dumb question. As if a politician from the opposing party would admit to any mistake...to be bludgeoned later with his "admission". My reply, with a smile, would have been: "My biggest mistake would be answering your question."

Several Republican senators sharply criticized federal court nominee Beth Robinson this week for her alleged hostility toward religious liberty. On August 5, President Joe Biden announced his appointment of Robinson as a judge on the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the White House underscored that she would be the first openly lesbian woman to serve on any federal circuit court.During Robinson’s confirmation hearings this week, members of the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned Robinson’s use of bigoted language toward pro-life Catholics sued by a client of hers in the 1990s.Robinson had represented a woman in a suit against a Vermont print shop for not printing a pro-abortion group’s business cards

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) told Breitbart News Saturday the Biden administration is being completely “disingenuous” on the number of Americans stranded in Afghanistan, estimating the number to be hundreds more than officially claimed. He added that Republicans are currently working to make the identity of the suicide bomber who killed 13 U.S. servicemembers and hundreds of Afghans public, because the American people deserve to know who was behind the attack. On Friday, Issa announced his team successfully facilitated the escape of a pregnant American woman, Nasria, from the Taliban-controlled country. Her story, he said, is just “one of hundreds.”

Whether it’s the assortment of eccentrics working for Bronco Billy, or a Richard Jewell, or Old Farts, or a struggling immigrant family, as long as you’re willing to accept — or at least tolerate — the other fella, as long as you’re not bullying others about how they should live and speak and think, as long as you’re your own man — that’s American enough for Clint Eastwood.
