Facebook is targeting conservative voices and asking them if they need 'support' after becoming 'extremist' in its latest overreach on free speech and censorship which users say is patronizing and offensive. Several conservative voices like Newsmax TV host John Cardillo, House Delegate Nick Freitas and Alex Berenson shared screenshots of the alerts they received on Twitter. One Canadian user who'd accessed a meme on the page 'Boobs Guns Freedom Beer and Trump 2' got the alert and so did RT journalist Rachel Blevin.

Joe Biden was attempting to show how on the ball he is this week at a briefing on the nation’s wildfire situation. It didn’t work. During an average year, the U.S. Capitol welcomes 2.5 million visitors, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has refused to reopen the Capitol to visitors — school groups, families, or anyone hoping to see the legislative branch in action. To make matters worse, Pelosi’s refusal even to allow visitors on the Capitol grounds resulted in the outdoor concert regularly held on the Capitol’s west front to celebrate our nation’s independence being canceled. What could have been a unifying celebration of our Independence Day and defeat of COVID-19 will instead be virtual performances streamed online.

As Americans prepare to celebrate 245 years of freedom with diffidence and perhaps even mixed feelings, China’s national fete this week marking the Chinese Communist Party’s 100 years of existence showed no such doubt. America faces a serious challenge from China, but seems too self-obsessed and divided to do anything about it. It’s depressing to compare China’s celebration of a century of communism with our much more muted planned observance.
