A Travis County grand jury has indicted an active-duty former Fort Hood Army sergeant on charges of murder, deadly conduct and aggravated assault in the 2020 shooting death of an armed Austin protester.
Perry, who was stationed at Fort Hood, was working for a ride-sharing company and just dropped off a customer when he turned onto a street filled with people protesting police brutality.
He stopped his car, honked, and seconds later, police said Perry drove his car into the crowd, The Texas Tribune reported.
But videos show that he was under attack contradictory to the police reports!

He's a soldier and was defending our country. Case closed.

Austin. I knew before I even looked that it would have to be Travis County. Stand your ground doesn't apply in the People's Republic of Austin. No question he is innocent, but he will likely get railroaded because of where he was.
Not sure why any non-commie would continue to live or travel to Austin. It's as far left as Chicago or San Francisco. Situational awareness, people. Don't put yourselves in situations where you end up being judged by a bunch of woke Bolshies.

And yet we don't even know the name of the agent who killed Ashli Babbit, an unarmed white women, in DC. Sergeant Perry has several strikes against him: In the army, working, white, male, and law abiding. I will pray for him.

Both the police and grand juries are scared to death of opposing the BLM mentality. This is going to happen a lot more across America before common sense prevails...if ever.

If I'm armed and someone in a howling mob points an AK47 at me, you better damn well believe I'm going to shoot first. As the saying goes, better to be tried by 12 than carried by six.

In Texas Grand Juries can indict.
If a Texas Grand Jury indicts, the Attorney for the State MUST prepare and deliver the the indictment to the Grand Jury's foreman, and the foreperson MUST deliver the indictment to the judge or court clerk. Therefore, in this Texas case the following has already occurred:
CHAPTER 20A. GRAND JURY PROCEEDINGS
* * * * *
Art. 20A.302. PREPARATION OF INDICTMENT. (a) The attorney representing the state shall prepare, with as little delay as possible, each indictment found by the grand jury and shall deliver the indictment to the foreperson. The attorney shall endorse on the indictment the name of each witness on whose testimony the indictment was found.
(b) The foreperson shall officially sign each indictment prepared and delivered under Subsection (a).
AND
Art. 20A.303. PRESENTMENT OF INDICTMENT. When an indictment is ready to be presented, the grand jury shall, through the foreperson, deliver the indictment to the judge or court clerk. At least nine grand jurors must be present to deliver the indictment."
The saying "A Grand Jury can indict a ham sandwich (or recommend indictment of a ham sandwich) as the state's law provides, is not necessarily nonsense. Unless this Grand Jurors asked probing questions to the witnesses, it's possible that this Grand Jury heard little or no testimony regarding any possible defense, including self defense.

As we say in Houston ... Keep Austin 170 miles from here. Take your Californians and put them all in one county.

My favorite very long time gun shop owner said awhile ago “they” will not come for our guns. The left knows there are too many of us. No, they will chip away at our freedom to USE them. The McCloskeys who obeyed every law that night to protect an illegal invasion into their home. This good man defending himself is the latest example.

Yes, I see Perry's car turn into the crowd, and then be surrounded by the crowd as others run towards it, but the crowd seems to obscure the view -- I can't tell what the heck is happening, with or without the side-by-sides.

Side-by-side video with both angles, you can see Perry come to a complete stop before having to defend himself from the mob and Garrett Foster. Texas is a stand your ground state, but it looks like that doesn't apply if you defend yourself from those with a system-approved ideology!
