The U.S. Supreme Court announced Friday it would not take up a case over LGBT rights and religious liberty when it comes to same-sex weddings in a dispute brought by a florist. The high court declined to hear Barronelle Stutzman’s case after she lost at the Washington Supreme Court when the state attorney general sued her for not providing flowers from her flower shop, Arlene’s Flowers, for a same-sex wedding. The American Civil Liberties Union also filed a lawsuit against the florist on behalf of the couple.
Washington’s highest court concluded she could be forced to participate in the event despite her First Amendment claim

This is so sick… Are there no florists and bakers who do these gay affairs?

...and OP, don’t expect any support from those supposedly Christian Senators and Congresspeople either. They might send a private note to this lady but stick THEIR necks out and object to this tyranny publicly as she did? NO WAY. Justice Alito was so right in his recent statement blasting the cowardice of this court.

Justice weirdo John Roberts should ask himself what would a Muslim do? There's the answer, behead the gay couple.
This is pathetic the black and gays own us and we have to like it.

Doesn't a florist have to get of the older wilted flowers anyway? seems like a good way to use them and make money too. That's the "good" side as Bidet calls it.

If every expression is covered by the First Amendment, then how is this not? Whatever happened to 'We refuse the right to serve without notice or reason'?.

I remember reading about this case - the gays involved had been friends with the florist for years, and viciously turned on her when she declined to do their wedding. Just goes to show what kind of "friends" they were.

Those who approve of these abominations are just as guilty as those who do these abominations, so say's God our Father. The penalty is the same for all perpetrators and all who approves of them.
The world is being taken over by abominations the servants of Lucifer (Satan) just as God our Father say's in His Holy Bible. The whole world will be worshiping Lucifer (Satan), all except His very elect that will remain faithful forever. This must happen before He will return for His End Time Millennium of judgment and teaching.

So, apparently, if you are a Christian, you can no longer expect to own businesses in the US. That sounds like discrimination to me.

I wish a Muslim baker or florist would get into one of those cases. Heck, I'd even contribute a sawbuck to the defense fund. Maybe two if the wedding was for a gay Jewish couple (I apologize for the mild anti-Semetic slur, but hey, it would be a great test case).

The basis for law in this country today is not the constitution but the civil rights bills that have superceded it as the heart of the law. First went freedom of association and the other rights guaranteed by the original constitution have followed. There is no freedom of speech or religion. There is only what the rulers permit and by rulers I don't mean government (though some of them are in government). And this is fine with a large segment of the population. The civil rights laws, originally written to address the poor treatment of blacks, are now used to elevate degeneracy and mental illness to the status of sacred "civil rights" and if you try and oppose this you are a worthless, un-American bigot who deserves to be silenced and pauperized and, eventually, penalized under law for your values and beliefs.

# 1 - in many of these cases, Rush said these people will go to as many bakers or florists as it takes to find one who refuses. That's who they decide to use and sue.

the only purpose manifested is hatred . As noted by other commentors, "they" never go to a Muslim florist or baker and there are other retailers available; So it is targeted harrasment. The lawyers and judges , including the SC, are derelict in their oaths.

Yes, #1, but there would be no political advantage for the rainbow crowd to use them. The perverts seek out businesses with Christian reputations and go after them.
This is clearly a case of religious freedom and the SCOTUS dropped the Constitutional ball again.

This country has turned into a gigantic playground and the democrats are the aggressive bullies while it appears the rest of us are the timid victims who continue to give up our lunch money without a fight. This will continue as long as we allow it. It becomes problematic when the bullies own the entire government and the judiciary have abandoned the rule of law and Constitution. I am disgusted by the almost complete surrender of the political class to this bullying. Our leaders are pathetic examples of public servants. The only thing they have earned is our revulsion.

On a related note, I received my alumni news magazine from a supposedly Catholic university the other day. In the marriages section was - you guessed - pictures of two gay weddings; one women, the other men. Went right into the trash. I'm done with them.

I'm telling you the solution is simple. Put a large sign outside your company declaring your business a 'sanctuary' business, we obey the laws we like and ignore the laws we don't like. Every marxist in the country will respect that, Right? Alinsky's rule number 4, make the enemy obey the laws they make.

As we have come to expect from the Supreme Joke of the United States, homosexuals trump 1st Amendment rights. Christians should start visiting homosexual companies and demand cakes and such with anti-homosexual themes for anti homosexual celebrations. See how long it takes the liberals on the Supreme Joke to strike that down!

Just take their money and say you'll bake it. On the day of the occasion, say there was a mixup and it didn't get made. Then refund their money.

Conservatives should seek out Muslim bakeries, florists, whatever and demand they provide a product that goes against their beliefs and then let the liberals try and defend the Muslims. Fight fire with fire. Make them live up to their own rules.

In Gay USA, you will provide the flowers and bake the cakes, and you'll like it. Unless you're a Muslim, in which case the predatory homosexuals and their enabling lawyers won't set you up for a lawsuit in the first place.
