AOC says Olympic ban on marijuana
is 'instrument' of racism following Black
track star's suspension

New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed Friday the rule barring marijuana use during the Olympic races was an "instrument of racist and colonial policy." The congresswoman’s comments followed the announcement that U.S. champion Sha’Carri Richardson will not be running in the 100-meter race after she tested positive for THC, a chemical found in marijuana, at the Olympic trials – voiding her first-place results.

Typical AOC race-baiting. The only thing that matters is that Sha’Carri Richardson knew the rules and chose to break them. Enough said.

I feel very for her but this is not a new rule. AOC, please just be quiet - you really do show your racism by expecting everyone not to go by the same rules. Everyone is capable of following them.

If the rule was for BLACK athletes only then she might have something to complain about BUT it is the rule for everyone, BLACK or WHITE or whatever. Marijuana does not enhance your performance so I say go ahead and challenge the rule but for the next Olympics. It is on the books, she knew it was on the books and paid the price. It is a shame as she should be running but it is what it is. It is against the rules. You cross that line and you are out. AOC is nothing but hot air. And I am so tired of her.

This is really sad, but rules are rules. Sha’Carri Richardson was the shining super-star during the USA women's track and field Olympics qualification trials. She is movie star beautiful and her personality truly shines. During her 100 meter races the crowd was in love with her. These races are on YouTube and are well worth watching. She was world-wide favorite to win the gold metal in the 100 meter dash and on the 4 x 100 meter relay. A few times in a person's life, decisions - when made - seem to be wholly insignificant, but turn out to be life-changing, some for better and others for worse. Sha’Carri's decision regarding marijuana, resulting in her of testing positive for THC, may cost here many $millions of lost income, and in any case will probably trouble her mental tranquility throughout her entire life.

Heress perfect solution! Since Gwen Berry, the US hating hammer thrower, claims to "love her people", and Carri Richardson is one of them; Berry should take Richardson 's place in suspension and sit out the hamer throw. She can let Richardson compete in the 100 meter race. Berry can make herself a martyr for her people.

It is a World Anti-Doping Agency [WADA] standard. So, ''systemic racism'' must be an international problem. Considering that the standard is applied regardless of race, isn't AOC being racist assuming that blacks are more likely to violate the rule, because they are more prone to using illegal narcotics? Evidently, she thinks that blacks lack impulse control and are incapable of complying with the same standards of behavior that is expected of everyone else.

20 Questions for Nancy Pelosi About

No one has milked the events of January 6 more than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). She set the official narrative early and often, a storyline her scribes in the news media have dutifully repeated without question or scrutiny. “[Y]esterday, the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America, the gleeful desecration of the U.S. Capitol, which is the temple of our American democracy,” Pelosi lamented in a hyperdramatic press conference the day after the raucous protest. She accused President Trump of “sedition” and urged his cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him just two weeks before he officially left the White House.

America is up in arms about critical race theory in public schools. Lawmakers in California and school districts in Washington and Oregon have introduced or mandated aspects of critical race theory in the curriculum; lawmakers in Texas, Idaho, Oklahoma and, most recently, Florida have passed legislation prohibiting teachers from promoting critical race theory in the classroom. But despite all of the furor surrounding these bills, many Americans still do not have a firm grasp of what critical race theory is and how it manifests in public schools.

Imagine a somewhat buffoonish, past-his-prime, cognitively challenged man entrusted with the survival of the free world who is surrounded by handlers who both take care of him and count on him to come through in the clutch. If you are thinking of Joe Biden, you are only half correct. More than half a century ago, Dean Martin perfected the role of the bumbling big cheese in his 1960s spy spoof movie series based on the Matt Helm novels. Martin, of course, was playing a self-absorbed, alcohol-drenched hedonist with a gun whereas Biden is the leader of the free world with a nuclear arsenal, but beyond that the similarities are uncanny.

There is a cultural shift underway affecting all aspects of American life. Though hard to define, it usually takes the form of an emphasis on what is known variously as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), critical race theory, wokeness, anti-racism, and the like. Several scholars and writers have been raising the alarm about its anti-intellectual and illiberal aspects. Heather Mac Donald has shown how it has permeated the university. Is there reason to be suspicious? One might suspect that the new ideology only affects intrinsically political areas of study, such as Government and History. But in fact it has infected every area, even science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
