$180,000 wouldn't be enough for me to take the job as Baghdad Jen. That's about ten cents a lie so far. I see they also quietly found something for that good little commie Neera Tanden to do so she can slop at the trough. Susan Rice should be given a flying lesson over the Gulf from about 30k feet. Xiden has surrounded himself with some of the biggest scuzzbags skimmed from the Obama administration.

That list includes White House press secretary Jen Psaki, chief of staff Ron Klain and Neera Tanden, who is now senior adviser to the president after her nomination for Office of Management and Budget director was withdrawn. Other familiar names who make the maximum salary include national security adviser Jake Sullivan, senior adviser to the president Cedric Richmond, domestic policy adviser Susan Rice, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield, National Economic Council head Brian Deese and national climate adviser Gina McCarthy. Rounding out the list are AnnMarie Tomasini, director of Oval Office operations; Elizabeth D. Sherwood-Randall, Homeland Security adviser and deputy national security adviser; Cathy Russell, director of the Office of Presidential Personnel; Steve Ricchetti, counselor to the president; Julissa Reynoso, chief of staff to the first lady; Dana A. Salaries are one thing. Add expenses, benefits, etc. That's where the real money is. And what poor flunky in whatever department that reviews these expenditures is going to question or dispute them? I can only imagine said flunky looking up to see an angry psaki or rice wanting to 'discuss' these obvious mistakes on his/her/its part.

Katharine Lee Bates, a 33-year-old English literature teacher at Wellesley College, was on “a merry expedition up Pike’s Peak” in Colorado in 1893 when she looked out “over the sea-like expanse of fertile country spreading away so far under those ample skies.”In an instant, she said, “the opening lines of the hymn floated into my mind.” Those lines became “America the Beautiful” — a song that will feature today in countless parades and band concerts.Everyone knows the first verse, with its evocation of “amber waves of grain” and “purple mountain majesties.” But how many have read — let alone sung — the entire song?

WASHINGTON— As it has been for nearly 16 months, longer than any time in the nation’s history, the U.S. Capitol is closed to most public visitors. The one-two punch of the coronavirus pandemic that shuttered the Capitol’s doors in the spring of 2020 and the deadly insurrection by then-President Donald Trump’s supporters on Jan. 6 has left the icon of American democracy unopen to all but a select few.As the rest of the nation emerges this July Fourth holiday from the pandemic for cookouts and fireworks that President Joe Biden is encouraging from the White House, the people’s house faces new threats of violence, virus variants and a more difficult moment.
