Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has blasted her critics as sexist and racist - just six weeks after she sparked fury by refusing to be interviewed by white journalists. [SNIP] Phil Ponce, of WTTW, said, ‘In recent months, there have been questions raised about your temperament and your reaction to criticism – a (Chicago) Tribune editorial used the term irascible – how much of this do you think might have to do with the fact that you’re a woman and specifically a black woman?’ In response, Lightfoot said, ‘99 percent of it.’

I doubt that people knew they were voting for an arrogant, incompetent, divisive shrew but she is a Democrat so they should have had an inkling. She has destroyed Chicago and considers herself exempt from criticism. But no matter. When her term is up they’ll just replace her with another one:

99% of Lori Lightfoot's problem is racism... her own! Lightfoot's racist actions and comments help fuel the already volatile racial issues in Chicago where black on black crime leaves the streets littered with bodies each week. Yet, she passes the blame onto white supremacy, racism, police failures, anything but the criminals.

She is a horrible inept clown that doesn't belong in any kind of leadership position. She is a typical liberal, blaming race for all of her problems. She typically blames inanimate objects for her leadership failures. I can't see how anyone in their right mind could vote for her. An example of how not to be a mayor.

This "woman" has serious and obvious psychological problems. Just like Obama did, Lightfoot continues to blame others for her own shortcomings through constant projection. Homosexuals, bisexuals and lesbians claim to be normal but the mental illness can not be hidden. The city is coming down around her. When will Chicago wise up and boot her out?

Just delusional. Nobody CARES about one’s color or sex or orientation. Like President Obama, MAYOR LIGHTFOOT GOT ELECTED. So mental to think that every criticism or objective observation of cause and effect somehow somewhere has something to do with your precious personal SELF, instead of the consequences of your actions. Really unbelievable esp. in a big city mayor. What a pathetic failure of leadership.

The England players were tonight greeted with a cacophony of boos, whistles and cheers as they took the knee before kick-off in the quarter finals of Euro 2020. Ukraine stayed on their feet as England continued with the Black Lives Matter gesture ahead of the quarter final clash at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Some speculated online that the crowd could have been booing Ukraine for refusing to kneel, but boos have thundered from Three Lions fans at every game thus far, irrespective of whether or not the opposition has joined England in kneeling. The disapproval for the gesture comes despite the repeated pleas of manager Gareth Southgate and the Football Association.

The whisper campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris has its origins among White House aides who increasingly see her as incapable of defeating any Republican challenger in 2024, including Donald Trump. Recent missteps and gaffes by Harris at the border and with reporters have top Democrats worried that Harris simply isn’t up to the task of heading the Democratic ticket if Biden — who will be 81 if he runs — decides to stand aside. It’s not just the gaffes. Biden aides have been undermining Harris’s authority in her own office, using recent revelations about its dysfunction to raise serious questions about her competence and temperament.
