Hours after President Trump said he wouldn't be renaming military bases named for Confederate leaders, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi flaunted her opposition by highlighting her work to get Confederate statues in the U.S. Capitol removed. Pelosi sent out a copy of a letter she had addressed to the chairs of the Joint Committee on the Library, which manages the National Statuary Hall collection - the 100 statues contributed by states that are on display in Statuary Hall and other places around the U.S. Capitol complex. Each U.S. state gets to contribute two statues and there are currently 11 Confederate figures

Award-winning journalist and war correspondent Lara Logan discussed how retired generals who are speaking out against President Trump are either “complicit” with or waging an information warfare campaign against him, in an interview with Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily on Wednesday. Logan reminded listeners of the Russian collusion narrative, and how many officials from the Justice Department, Director of National Intelligence, Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, and other agencies worked together to push the idea that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.

St. Paul, Minn.—A group has made good on its promise to tear down the statue of Christopher Columbus standing on the Minnesota State Capitol grounds. Speaking earlier in the day, Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said troopers would try to speak with a group that wants to tear down a statue of Christopher Columbus on the state capitol grounds. But, at 5 p.m., the group tossed a rope around the statue and tugged it to the ground. Members of the crowd then danced and spit on the statue. Protesters in Virginia beheaded four Confederate statues and pulled down another with a tow rope on Wednesday night. Walmart is ending a long-standing policy under which some of its stores kept personal care products designed for people of color in locked display cases. The retailer's about-face comes after years of criticism of the practice, including a black shopper in Colorado this week who called it "ridiculous.'
The company on Wednesday said it is abolishing the practice in place in about a dozen of its 4,700 stores nationwide and that it will no longer keep multicultural hair care and beauty products under lock and key. Emotions ran high Wednesday evening in front of the decapitated Christopher Columbus statue in the North End as demonstrators and residents debated the symbol Mayor Martin Walsh said the city plans to reassess. The statue was beheaded overnight Tuesday, Boston Police say, and small chunks of marble were still strewn on the ground in the center of Christopher Columbus Park. Walsh in a press conference Wednesday at City Hall Plaza said the city would place the statue in storage to assess the damage. “And given the conversations that we’re certainly having right now in our city of Boston and throughout the country,

“Romney didn’t win, did he?”
That was former Senate Democratic majority leader Harry Reid’s response to whether he regretted lying about then-GOP presidential nominee — and now Utah senator — Mitt Romney.
Reid accused Romney on the Senate floor in 2012, when he was running for president, of not having paid any taxes in four years. It was absolutely untrue and was discredited by Washington Post fact-checkers and others at the time. But that didn’t stop the onslaught of unfair and inaccurate accusations and innuendos.

The accusation that President Trump in some way threatens the Constitution is the most disgusting expression of hypocrisy that I have heard in nearly half a century of journalism–no exceptions. It is so monstrously false that it is shocking to hear it from the likes of Gen. James Mattis and Gen. Colin Powell. A conspiracy to drive Donald Trump from office through lies, leaks and larceny began before he took office and continues to the present day. Alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia was an outrageous hoax. The spurious charges against Gen. Mike Flynn have been exposed as a concoction of FBI officials

Have you heard that a six-block section of Seattle has become an anarchist “capitol hill autonomous zone,” or “CHAZ” for short?
It has. Police and firefighters vacated their premises and bugged out with a Twitter blessing from Mayor Jenny Durkan. Durkan dithered over the descent of protests into violence for a week before doing much, and when she did much, her choice was to tweet in hasty retreat.
Anarchists quickly set up CHAZ to be and do its own thing, as long as that thing conformed with diktats of the CHAZ hierarchy.
They put up makeshift signs saying, “You are now leaving the U.S.A.”

George P. Bush, the son of former Florida governor Jeb Bush, has declared his intention to vote for President Trump in the upcoming election.
The news comes as several prominent Republican figures have reportedly either expressed no support for Trump, or have said flat-out that they would vote against him.
What makes Bush’s endorsement so interesting is the very simple reason why he stands behind the President, and why every true conservative and/or Republican should as well.
“President Trump is the only thing standing between America and socialism,” he explained.
Of that, there can be no doubt. Please clap for Jeb’s son.

One of the trite pearls of wisdom repeated ad nauseam for the past several days is that America needs to have an honest conversation on race. It’s a constant theme repeated in the self-flagellating virtue signaling spewing forth from prominent figures in industry, academia, and even the military, put out in hopes that the Orwellian cultural Death Star doesn’t cast its eye of destruction on them.
Of course, the media manipulators and leftists have no interest in an honest conversation. The only thoughts allowed in their version are mostly false ones that have been approved by leftists for the purpose of inciting racial hatred and overthrowing America.

The mainstream media will never cover the emerging political confrontation between the two ethnic minorities the Democrats are counting on to propel them to a permanent majority, blacks and Hispanics. The most effective kind of propaganda is by omission. Walter Duranty didn’t cook up accounts from smiling Ukrainian farmers, he simply said there was no evidence for a famine, much like the media tells us today that there is no evidence antifa has a role in the current protest-adjacent violence. It is much harder to do this today than it was back then—there are photographs and video that show they have been—which is the proximate cause for greater media concern about conspiracy theories and disinformation.

Tuesday on MSNBC, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she is ignoring President Donald Trump because she believes he “doesn’t have anything to do with the reality of the situation.”Host Stephanie Ruhle asked, “When you talk about racial justice, national security, these are issues that matter to all Americans. The way the president is saying it, these are liberal rules, as though you’re trying to create a lawless society. That’s obviously not what you are doing. So when you look at the term defunding the police, how do you define it?”Pelosi said, “Well, first of all, I don’t pay that much attention to what the president sa

It is really quite stunning how the U.S. media have avoided reporting on a group of activists in Seattle who have taken over part of the city surrounding the abandoned East precinct police station. No-one is being allowed inside what they are calling a “Free Capitol Hill Zone” or “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).
The activists have barricaded the streets and will not let any journalists or city officials inside their declared zone of control. The region expands across six blocks as outlined by the occupying groups. Information on the encampment AVAILABLE HERE:

If you’ve been hiding under a rock these past two weeks and haven’t discerned for yourself that George Floyd’s death has been politicized by the left, to no less degree than the Russian collusion hoax, the partisan impeachment ruse and the COVID-19 pandemic, allow Al Sharpton to enter the picture. The race-baiting MSNBC host, who still claims the title of a Reverend, delivered the eulogy Tuesday at Floyd’s funeral, using the platform to drive racial discord, attack President Donald Trump and advocate on behalf of radical left ex-NFL player Colin Kaepernick while calling out league commissioner Roger Goodell.

On Monday, prominent House and Senate Democrats took a knee à la Colin Kaepernick in an attempt to show solidarity with the radical Black Lives Matter movement as they announced police reforms in a bill dubbed the “Justice in Policing Act.” Wearing African kente cloth scarfs, top Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and former presidential candidate Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), took a knee together for eight minutes and 46 seconds, a nod to the death of George Floyd.

HBO Max pulled the Oscar-winning Civil War epic "Gone With the Wind" from its library amid heightened racial tensions following the death of George Floyd. ScreenRant and The Wall Street Journal were the first to report that the newly launched streaming service yanked the 1939 film, which takes place at an Atlanta plantation. Critics in the modern era have criticized "Gone With the Wind" for its depiction of black people. The film won eight Oscars including best picture and made history when Hattie McDaniel became the first black American to win an Oscar for her performance. Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden told CBS News on Tuesday night that he wants to select a running mate “who is ready to be president on day one.” “It’s really important that whomever you pick as a vice president agrees with you in terms of your philosophy of government and agrees with you on the systemic things that you wanna change,” Biden said. “And is, in fact, going to be able to be someone who is not at all intimidated by the president, not at all intimidated walking in the White House. And is going to be prepared to give their unvarnished opinion

A Los Angeles city councilwoman was exposed as a hypocrite for introducing a bill to cut $150 million from the Los Angeles Police Department budget, while maintaining an LAPD private detail at her home for herself.
Security for me, but not for thee, see, the leftist political elites always gets their takings first.
Guess who else is just as hypocritical?
Sure enough, Kamala Harris, Democratic vice presidential frontrunner, who's loudly endorsed these $150 million police defundings, supporting the idea, along with her political ally, Mayor Eric Garcetti, who was last seen calling the LAPD 'killers.'

A video posted on social media shows a group of men, including a New Jersey state corrections officer, taunting and mocking protesters in Gloucester County Monday - with one kneeling on a man’s neck, reenacting the police killing of George Floyd in Minnesota. The officer has been suspended, officials said Tuesday. Online commentators and state employment records identify him as Joseph DeMarco.

Below the picturesque geysers and rainbow-tinted hot springs of Yellowstone National Park lurks one of the most destructive volcanoes on Earth. The gargantuan Yellowstone hotspot (also known as the Yellowstone supervolcano) has erupted at least 10 times over the past 16 million years, permanently altering the geography of North America, periodically warping Earth's climate and throwing flakes of airborne ash to every corner of the world.
Now, the discovery of two ancient supereruptions — including the single largest in the hotspot's history — reveals an unexpected trend: The Yellowstone hotspot's activity may finally be waning.

The State Department is leveling new allegations against fired Inspector General Steve Linick, accusing him of violating the terms of his administrative leave and previously violating the chain of command to absolve himself and his office of leaking sensitive information, two letters obtained by Daily Caller show.
Undersecretary of State Brian Bulatao is additionally urging the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) to open a new investigation into Linick’s alleged actions.
President Donald Trump fired Linick on the advice of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in March, after which he was placed on administrative leave.

The one massive problem that Tuesday’s primary brought was massive lines, with people waiting for more than four hours in some places to vote.
Both Republicans and Democrats agreed that what happened Tuesday was a big problem, but they don’t agree on who to blame.
“As we watched what unfolded today, we knew that we were in the midst of a disaster,” said voting rights activist and former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.

VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis called George Floyd by name, twice, and offered support to an American bishop who knelt in prayer during a Black Lives Matter protest. (Snip) Francis “wants to send a very clear message to these conservative Catholics here who are pro-Trumpers that, ‘Listen, this is just as much of an issue as abortion is,’” said Anthea Butler, a presidential visiting fellow at Yale Divinity School. Butler, who is African American, said the Vatican is telling Catholics “to pay attention to the racism that is happening and the racism that is in your own church in America.

With the media’s relentless focus on COVID-19 lockdowns and the George Floyd demonstrations, it’s easy to forget other things worthy of seizing our attention. Among those are possible prosecutions emerging this week from the Russia-collusion investigations by Congress and the Justice Department. Soon, some in deep-state D.C. will be worrying about an entirely different kind of lockdown.
With little fanfare, investigators are readying the release of names of those deep-state minions and leaders who broke the law in pursuing a bogus, politicized investigation of President Donald Trump for “colluding” with Russia during the 2016 election campaign. If the early reporting

Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), Kevin Cramer (R-ND), and Josh Hawley (R-MO) sent a letter to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, asking the agency to clearly define the criteria for which big tech companies can receive legal immunity for moderating content on their platforms.
The Republican senators wrote a letter to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) after President Donald Trump signed an executive order, mandating that the Department of Commerce draft a proposal to the FCC, asking them to clarify provisions in Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The proposal would specifically target the “good faith” clause in Section 230 which grants tech companies immunity

Seattle has been making big news in the last couple of days. The first major story emerged Tuesday when police ceded an entire neighborhood to Antifa and Black Lives Matter, representatives of which barricaded a large segment of the Capitol Hill neighborhood and declared the area an “autonomous” community, separate from Seattle itself. The second newsworthy story occurred when thousands of leftist protesters led by Black Lives Matter and Antifa entered City Hall shortly after midnight on Wednesday, demanding that Mayor Jenny Durkan (a Democrat) resign.

Black lives matter. That statement is undeniably true, but not all black lives matter to the group Black Lives Matter. Apparently, retired police Capt. David Dorn of St. Louis was not worthy of the same outrage as George Floyd. Dorn was gunned down by looters after answering an alarm at a pawnshop belonging to a friend. Black Lives Matter was silent. An arrest was made. Black Lives Matter was silent. As it turns out, it’s not the life that matters to Black Lives Matter, it’s the person who killed them.
It’s hard to find anyone in this country who wasn’t outraged by the murder of Floyd. There have been other accusations

Brace for the fight of your life.
The biggest difference between today and four years ago is that this time they know Donald Trump can win.
Sure, it was ugly last time. They despised him, because they despise you. They wanted to destroy him, because they don’t care about you. They told endless lies about him because they are fundamentally dishonest people incapable of arguing about the vital issues Mr. Trump built his campaign around.

Just as the Islamic State (ISIS) claimed territory in Iraq and Syria, antifa militants have claimed territory in Seattle, Wash. According to reports on the ground from The Post Millennial’s Andy Ngo and Townhall’s Julio Rosas, protesters and antifa instigators have seized land in the Capitol Hill area around the Seattle Police East Precinct. Like ISIS, the rioters appear to have decided on setting up a government in their occupied territory, naming it “Free Capitol Hill.”
“Seattle [Mayor Jenny Durkan] is allowing a dangerous situation to fester. [Antifa] militants have taken over & created an ‘autonomous zone’ in city w/their own rules. Police precinct abandoned.

The hot protest slogan and hashtag of the moment is “Defund the Police.” At times, it’s also framed as a call to abolish or disband the police. Ordinary speakers of the English language would naturally assume, listening to people chant “defund the police” in the streets, carry “defund the police” signs, and literally paint “defund the police” on the streets of D.C., that such people mean “defund the police.”
But not our media! There’s been an immediate rush to write pieces explaining that, of course, “defund the police” does not actually mean “defund the police.”

A person applies for admission to college or grad school. Or to the federal or state or municipal government for a Small Business Loan or other program to help promote commerce. Or for a job at most anywhere. The résumé is submitted and is competitive. Or the business loan paperwork is in perfect order. Or the job applicant is able-bodied and dependable. Time passes, and a decision is made as to whom to admit, or who gets the government business benefit, or who gets the job. And it turns out that the decision went to someone based on race. Kudos to the Trump Department of Justice for not letting Prince Andrew worm his way out of answering questions about his long relationship with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The DOJ is invoking Britain’s treaty obligations as it demands the prince be made available. Prosecutors for the Southern District of New York bypassed Buckingham Palace to file a “mutual legal assistance” request for assistance in a criminal investigation to the UK Home Office in order to force the royal to testify, The Sun reported.

The Democratic Senate primary in Georgia was too early to call Wednesday, as Jon Ossoff held onto approximately 49 percent of the vote with more ballots coming in -- amid widespread reports of hourslong lines, voting machine malfunctions, provisional ballot shortages and absentee ballots failing to arrive in time.
Ossoff, whose defeat in a 2017 special election was a gut-punch to Democrats who flooded his campaign with money, was leading Sarah Riggs Amico and Teresa Tomlinson. They each have roughly 13 percent of the counted vote, and candidates need 50 percent of the vote to avoid a runoff.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) broke from progressive counterparts in calls to defund the police, saying instead that the country needs “well-trained, well-educated, and well-paid professionals in police departments.”
Sanders addressed progressive critics who viewed him as an obstacle to growing calls for defunding the police in the wake of national unrest following the death of George Floyd in a New Yorker interview published Tuesday.
“Do I think we should not have police departments in America? No, I don’t. There’s no city in the world that does not have police departments,” He stated.
