A professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, says he was suspended from his job after refusing a student’s request to effectively cancel final exams for black students amid protests over the death of George Floyd. “I have been placed on involuntary leave for three weeks, and it looks like it may end up being more than that,” Gordon Klein, who teaches accounting at the school, told The Post. Klein—whom students slammed as “racist” and “dismissive”—was also placed under police protection at his Malibu home after receiving threats from critics furious over the email exchange, the Free Beacon reported. The insanity contagion is spreading many times faster and is many time more dangerous than COVID. We are dealing with an existential threat to an orderly society.

I have shut off the news and am listening to music these days I am still fuming that Sunday our socially distanced congregation was condemned for racism by the good cardinal in words right from black lives.

Imagine when these snowflakes are in the workforce. They'll have to take weeks off of work every time there is an event that makes them feel badly. And I bet not one of them has any connection to George Floyd.

Maybe if he had pushed back hard and fast... When they made it clear the no-exam 'flexibility' would be for blacks but nobody else, to scream at them in his most hysterical voice for them to take their racist hate out of his office before he calls security. And threaten expulsion for anybody who uttered another word about it.
Something like that just might have worked (if it didn't get him killed on the spot, that is).

For God sakes, the poor man was trying to treat them like adults! Teach responsibility. In life, sometimes we have to go forward no matter what! The upset black students should go back to daycare, get a diaper change.

This is the exact type of situation that needs to be litigated in court. We must try to stop these anarchists and anti-constitutionalists from defeating our society and the rule of law. He needs to sue the school ASAP.

Black students are hurting themselves. Employers will come to believe that a black applicant with the same grades as an applicant of another race is less qualified due to special treatment.

This is not my country anymore. I graduated from California State Polytechnic University in ‘77. I wasn’t the best student but I earned every single honest credit I received. I prepared for all my exams and never did I ever try to b.s. any of my professors to go easy on me.
Those UCLA students that cost that principled professor his job are nothing more than a..holes whose degrees will be worthless! The administrators are craven cowards unworthy of any respect!

Aren't all the classes and tests on-line? Should have just failed them if they didn't take the final.

I teach in the Big Ten. Black Students are actively being recruited, trained, and conditioned to be hostile to whiles and any form of common sense. The agent for this is the Diversity Office, which drives bigotry and violence in the name of, "equality" and "inclusion". Nevertheless, the uni offers all kinds of race-specific bennies for them. . . that's not enough, evidently.

All blacks are a bit mentally challenged, so cut them some slacks professor! ....is that what they're saying?
Well, from the way they've been behaving on the street lately, maybe they are mentally challenged.

Accounting is a fairly difficult subject. I doubt he has many black students smart enough or diligent enough to tackle it. That said, the poor guy got screwed.

Nothing the Professor aid is racist or untrue. How would he know which students are black or who else might have felt the need to skip exams due to George Floyd's death? In the true spirit of DIVERSITY and INCLUSION the professor declined the request and decided that everyone should be treated the same no matter their skin color.

Why didn't UCLA just by fiat simply give all "persons of color" straight A's? Why even let the Profs have a say in the matter? The University could do anything they want.

Maybe CHAZ needs to take over UCLA! Why, the more i think of it, the more i think it's a splendid idea! Old Gramsci's march through the institutions will come full circle, ending up in brutish world, miserable, hostile, ugly.

President Trump is just too nice. If I were president, I would suspend all federal student loans, aid, and academic grants to these faux universities. I would NEVER hire any graduate from this Clown Show

The COVID-19 fiasco started so long ago, I have almost forgotten (as if), but if memory serves, Black students were NOT the only people that couldn't go to their classes.

How many blacks are killed by other blacks every week?
Should black students be exempted from all tests to mourn those victims too?
Just curious. The total lack of logic among the left just hurts my brain when I try to understand it.

Nearly twenty years ago, I took a day class at a tech school. You would not believe how many pregnant teens were bused back and forth all day to this school. They received report cards. One came in and got onto the teacher and told her to change her grade because she didn't like it. Could not believe the teacher did it.
Four words: bring back the draft.

BLACK students are howling pain, but this stale saltine dares question why only BLACK students deserve a free pass, and not asian-americans or hispanics or other lesser beings. (Occurred to me just now to write "black" in all caps to mock how the MSM capitalizes the B in black but leaves white in lowercase.)
