Mitt Romney is owed an apology
for how he was attacked in 2012.
He’s unlikely to get it

“Romney didn’t win, did he?” That was former Senate Democratic majority leader Harry Reid’s response to whether he regretted lying about then-GOP presidential nominee — and now Utah senator — Mitt Romney. Reid accused Romney on the Senate floor in 2012, when he was running for president, of not having paid any taxes in four years. It was absolutely untrue and was discredited by Washington Post fact-checkers and others at the time. But that didn’t stop the onslaught of unfair and inaccurate accusations and innuendos.

Romney sowed trouble wherever he went. And then, when nominated for the 2012 Republican opposition to Obama, he caved. We remember his pathetic performance in the debate with that fat Crowley (sp?) woman. So bad that some questioned whether it was deliberate. almost deliberate. He threw the election. His defeat had nothing to do with Harry Reid. Or the media on what Reid had alleged. No Republican believed Harry Reid. No, it was not about unpaid taxes. It was a too-long history of forgiving Mitt for his own mistakes. Or misconduct. Bain Capital. Massachusetts. And then the election. The one chance to cut a disastrous president off after only one damaging term. He couldn’t - wouldn’t? - do it.

Mittens Romney got a taste of what the leftist and liberal Democrats are trying to do to President Trump. Romney is a rich globalist investor class wimp, as when the Democrats claimed that he did not pay taxes for ten years, Romney never responded effectively or at all. The problem for the Democrats is that Trump is not any sort of wimpy Romney.

I suspect Romney didn't respond to the goading about his taxes, because his financial situation probably cannot stand up under the close scrutiny. Like his ties to Bain and the dodgy practices he indulged in to make himself and all the mangers filthy rich. I imagine there are some huge skeletons in his financial closet that could get him in serious legal trouble.

When Andrew Breitbart died, I remember watching Jonah on live tv, choke up and come to tears over the death of his friend. I've often wondered what Andrew Breitbart would think of the Never Trumpers. I know wholeheartedly that he would not be with them, but I do wonder what he'd think of his dear friends, like Jonah. It defies all logic that they behave as they do.

Hopefully Romney will get what he deserves one day for the nastiness he represents, the lies he has told, and those he has stabbed in the back. Trump should make Utah a federal park for what they have done electing Romney. Utah stabbed Trump in the back, and after Trump revoked Obama's nationalization of a large swath of Utah. Orrin Hatch also stabbed Trump in the back. Anyone that has ever dealt with Orrin Hatch had to pull the knives out of their back.

Mitt Romney mailed in the third debate against Hussein, intentionally, and Paul Ryan let Sleepy Joe laugh the night away throughout their sham of a debate. Add in John McCain scolding us about how Hussein was a great American and we'd have nothing to fear from a Gay Kenyan presidency, and in came 8 years of darkness that bears its rotten fruit to this very day. And wow, look who's complaining about unfair and inaccurate accusations and innuendos; Donald Trump shrugged them off and came back twice as hard, unlike the rest of what we used to call the GOPe.

I don't know what happened to Jonah. "Liberal Fascism" is one of the best treatises written about the 'left' in my library. But now Jonah proclaims his friendship with Charley Sykes of Bulwark and Hugh Hewitt of MSNBC. Presumably that means he agrees with their disgust of Trumpism. If I had been a Utah resident in 2018, I think I would have voted for the Democrat instead of Pierre Delecto (aka Mitt Romney) as Senator. We knew he was going to stab Pres Trump in the back every chance he got. He sure was happy to take Mr Trump's endorsement in 2012 (and probably his check). The least he could have done was keep his big yap shut, but nooooooooo ..... I think President Trump would have a field day telling the stories of all the politicians and their bag men/women who showed up at Trump Tower looking for a check for their campaigns or money-laundering political causes.
