The one massive problem that Tuesday’s primary brought was massive lines, with people waiting for more than four hours in some places to vote.
Both Republicans and Democrats agreed that what happened Tuesday was a big problem, but they don’t agree on who to blame.
“As we watched what unfolded today, we knew that we were in the midst of a disaster,” said voting rights activist and former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.

She lives in TN. She must be a pathetic lawyer if she doesn’t understand “standing”.

I suppose this will be characterized as more oppression of black votes- By other blacks!
Abrams needs to get her fat butt to the gym and work it off! The fat is migrating to her brain!

Location, location, location. In upstate NYS, I have been voting for decades. I NEVER have had to wait more than a few minutes in any election.. If their LOCAL board of elections is incompetent, then remove the leaders.

I had to wait 4 hours to vote for Reagan in 1980. Seems the place where I voted was very busy as we had to wait in line. I had to travel half way across the city to vote cause the voter registration office screwed up my polling place when I voted for G W in 2000. Both were in Democrat contolled states. Both were the usual operating procedures we have come to expect form Goobernment efficiency. Even the constitution doesn't guarantee the right to a qick vote. Only a quick trail.

I agree with Ralston's statement. But the problem can be easily solved.
1. Photo Voter ID, with some form of bio-metrics. If you need such ID to travel or enter federal buildings, then it MUST be required for voting.
2. All voting MUST be in-person, unless the voter is an actively serving member of the Military. All other voting age citizens must travel back to their precincts and vote, in-person. Employers would simply have to accommodate. A person who refuses to travel, or who chooses to remain away from their voting district, simply doesn't vote. Voting is a privilege of being a citizen, but you can choose to to waive it.
3. Every 10 years, as part of the Census, every voter must confirm their voting status and living address. Any changes of residence must also b confirmed.
4. Only U.S. citizens may vote, whether it is local, state or federal elections, ONLY U.S. citizens may vote.
5. Visitors on work visas are just that - visitors. Illegals shouldn't even be in the country. Whether someone is here legally is ONLY the business of the U.S. and could be handled by immigration services. Give them a provisional green card that they must renew, yearly. They may not receive taxpayer money in the form of welfare. Citizens may voluntarily contribute to a fund to help these people and their families, but NO government controlled funding, EVER! Visitors who break the law are expelled, their legal visitor status revoked for a period not to exceed the prison term they serve. so If they serve 5 years in prison for their crime, they are escorted to the border and are not permitted access to the U.S. for 5 years. Violation of this ban may result in Capital Punishment. Violation of voting by non-citizens, the same - Capital Punishment, or immediate life-time expulsion, unless there is reason to believe they have been misled by Citizens within our borders.
Something like the above, should solve most of the issues we're seeing.

The former Georgia gubernatorial candidate has a poor grasp of the English language. First, ''midst'' means there is equal condition on both sides. Second, Disaster has a particular meaning and what she references is neither widespread destruction nor misfortune. Drama mamas always overstate the issue. She is probably unaware of the adage ''better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than open your mouth and confirm it.''

I voted in Cobb county around noon. I took a sunhat and a paperback. Didn't need either. Was in and out in 20 minutes. On the way home I heard some woman on WSB radio wailing that it took her three hours to vote in my city.
How? If not by design?

'Voting rights activist' Stacy Abrams???? What, she still trying to say she won the last election she lost??? Although I am curious about the problem...here at home, it took me about 10 minutes to vote...even with our local board consolidating some voting places to save $$...went in (no line), ID'd with drivers license, checked by computer, given a ballot, went to a stand alone terminal, voted, it printed out my choices, I checked it was correct, dropped it into a scanner and left...

This woman is one big, highly confident JOKE! Unfortunately, voters often pay no attention to the woman behind the drapes, a la wizard of oz.

She wasn't even on the ballot and she's talking about suing the state. Thing is, in Georgia the local Boards of Elections are responsible for how things are done in their counties. Suing the SOS is pointless.
