Every time there’s a calamity in America, there are those people we just can’t stand to hear from: Like Alyssa Milano. Or worse, Kathy Griffin. But there are those people we’d all like to hear from: Like Mike Rowe. Or better, Charles Barkley. Barkley, the avuncular former NBA star with the terrible golf swing, is weighing in on the “defund the police” movement now sweeping the most “progressive” (read: regressive) cities in the county. And he’s not a fan.“We need the cops, most of the cops do a fantastic job, but instead of defunding and all this other stuff, let’s just do police reform. Everybody should be on board for that

Most of the players in NFL and NBA are black. They are there because they are excellent athletes. Most of them are good citizens, but a few are bad eggs on and off the field. Should the NFL or NBA defund the rest of the team because of a few bad apples? That is what the Black Lives Matter organization is trying to do to the police in the country. Thank you, Mr. Barkley, for standing up for what is right and not going along with the crowd because it is PC. That takes a lot of courage in this today's culture.

I forget the network, but after the Baltimore riots a couple of years ago Barkley objectively met with some downtown residents in an attempt to get the real story from the locals. He came away shaking his head. They all knew someone who had been arrested and mistreated in the process. To a one, they all had it in for the cops. Representative comment from one older woman to Sir Charles: "I don't know you, and I don't like you." Whether their experiences were to be believed or not, we have a long way to go.

A bold statement coming from an ex-super athlete. Maybe he's only black outside and white inside. Blacks and Democrats would call him an OREO. In light of all the chaos and riotings going on in the city, Mr. Barkley is only displaying a bit of rational thinking as a civilized American.

There are a WHOLE LOT of black police officers who would become Republicans overnight.

The mainstream media needs to be utterly destroyed. They are evil and anti-American. They are China's ally

Charles Barkley is a true enigma.
One minute, he sounds like an average braindead lie-beral.
But, the next minute, he suddenly speaks logically and makes a lot of sense.
Never a dull moment.

It shouldn't take a black man or woman to speak truth to African Americans or any other segment of American citizens.
I abhor this practice of rolling out Af-Ams to state the truths we are not allowed to because it concedes the tiered, racially based freedom of speech rights in this Country without even addressing them. It concedes "framing" to the Left -- always a mistake. Framing is what has set PDT apart from all his predecessors. He doesn't concede the premise of the stupid question. We shouldn't either. It plays by their rules.

My wife's CEO has started a group for discussions with local business leaders. Get this. One guy is a CEO of a Fortune 500, lives in Minneapolis and is black. He has been stopped by the police 20 times in the last two years...in liberal fantasy land Minneapolis! We are so Wolk...are we not? It isn't Trump...it is liberal cities with liberal leaders and liberal led police departments!!! Minneapolis has a terrible police department and has had trouble for years!!! Look it up! Oh well, the city is history anyway!
