Exxon’s win Tuesday against New York state’s climate-change lawsuit couldn’t have been more complete: Not only did the judge find the Attorney General’s Office failed to prove fraud, he also blasted the case as “hyperbolic” — and praised Exxon. State Supreme Court Judge Barry Ostrager said the state’s lawyers failed to show the company ever “made any material misstatements or omissions” that could mislead any “reasonable” observer. The AG’s Office had claimed Exxon defrauded investors in violation of the Martin Act and other laws. But Ostrager flagged the “politically motivated statements by former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman,” who launched the Exxon probe — which

Deep and compelling discussion between Victor Davis Hanson and Epoch Times’ Jan Jekielek about President Trump, his effectiveness, and an overall era of apoplexy amid the left as President Trump deconstructs the progressive agenda. It’s an hour long interview that goes into a much more complex discussion; but it’s also well presented, explained and well worth the time to watch:

Like American Thinker’s Monica Showalter and Sharyl Attkisson, I think Attorney General William Barr is honest, very capable, and on his way to exposing the Deep State and its skullduggery in the 2016 election. It’s a time-consuming labor and it may well be late spring or early summer before we see the fruits of his and U.S. Attorney John Durham's work, but it’s coming. In the meantime several developments -- the Supreme Court’s action this week, and the overwhelming rejection of the UK’s Labour Party at the polls fill me with hope that our national nightmare -- the arrogance and stupidity of our political, academic, judicial, and journalist elites -

Matt Kuchar and Tony Finau hailed the "greatest" ever Tiger Woods after the superstar helped inspire an eighth consecutive Presidents Cup for the United States. The USA made history after rallying to beat the Internationals 16-14 in a thrilling finish at Royal Melbourne Golf Club on Sunday. Trailing 10-8 before the start of the deciding singles, no team had won the Presidents Cup after being down after three days, but the USA - led by playing captain Woods - changed that. The USA claimed a record-equalling eight points on Sunday, while Woods surpassed Phil Mickelson for the most Presidents Cup matches won after easing past Abraham Ancer in Melbourne.

At approximately 8 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2001, there was a knock on my front door. At the time I was a Special Agent (SA) with the FBI, so imagine my shock when I opened the door and found the two top officials in the Division on my doorstep. I knew this couldn't possibly be good news, but they quickly sought to reassure me. "Everything is all right, but Bob Hanssen has been arrested." All right? Bob Hanssen was my brother in law, and a longtime counterintelligence (CI) official at FBIHQ, privy to a vast range of sensitive intelligence information.

This observation came a week after Rasmussen Reports called attention to a rumor that Matt Drudge had sold his eponymous media behemoth some time ago. Does it make more sense that one of the savviest communicators of information in the history of the world (no exaggeration when you think of the sheer number of ideas he has used to change minds; affect populations; and influence leaders, movements, and governments for twenty-five years) decided to burn his creation down in nihilistic rage and madness

MADRID Saving the planet takes money, and lots of it. Money is both the theme and the subtext of the latest round of UN climate talks being held here—a vast river of cash flows through the UN climate process. Formally, the meeting is about nailing down one of the more obscure provisions of the Paris Agreement: Article 6, which provides for market-based instruments so that countries can trade their way out of their decarbonization commitments. Billions of cross-border dollars and transaction fees hang on the outcome. With the negotiations concerning mind-paralyzing definitions of interest only to the most intrepid climate geeks, business and finance leaders could wind up taking center stage.

As Todd Raffensberger and his family walked by the graves at Arlington National Cemetery on a wet and foggy Saturday morning, they took a moment to pay special attention to one marked with the name Cole Spennati. They saw that a wreath was on the soldier's grave, reverently placed by a volunteer. The Raffensberger family was among 38,000 people who laid wreaths on headstones today at Arlington, according to Wreaths Across America, which each year holds the event at Arlington and at military cemeteries nationwide. Throughout the United States, some 3 million people volunteered to lay more than 2.2 million wreaths at 2,100 locations.

Richard Nixon resigned 45 years ago, on August 9, 1974, in the face of certain impeachment by the House of Representatives and probable conviction following a Senate trial. It also seems that he did so to spare the nation further agony from the Watergate scandal. While two other presidents have been impeached and stood trial in the Senate, neither Andrew Johnson in 1868 nor Bill Clinton in 1998 was convicted. Nixon remains the only living president to have left office before completing his term. There is no question that Nixon was on the ropes and that his voluntary departure helped heal a badly wounded nation,

Ever since Watergate and the fall of Richard Nixon, a not-so-secret appeal of journalism has been the possibility that you, too, could bring down a president. Get a press pass and, presto, you’re another Woodward and Bernstein. Donald Trump just spoiled the fantasy. If, as expected, the Democrats’ impeachment dies a quick death in the Senate, it’s not just Speaker Nancy Pelosi who will have been thwarted. Presidential scalp-hunting by a biased media will be another Washington game disrupted by Trump.

Imagine California being “too close to call” for Donald Trump vs. his Democratic opponent on election night in November of 2020. That, in essence, is what happened in the United Kingdom Thursday night with an enormous, and historic, win for Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party. This movement of the political tectonic plates will surely cause a tsunami of reaction across the pond, here in the U.S., as well around the world. Since the era of Margaret Thatcher the U.K hasn’t seen such a surge toward the Conservative Party and this is such a large win that it will hold for at least a generation to come.

Burrow finished with the largest margin of victory in Heisman history, as 1,846 points separated him from second-place Hurts. He also received a record 90.7% of all the first-place votes available and was named on 95.5% of ballots, another record.
