As Todd Raffensberger and his family walked by the graves at Arlington National Cemetery on a wet and foggy Saturday morning, they took a moment to pay special attention to one marked with the name Cole Spennati. They saw that a wreath was on the soldier's grave, reverently placed by a volunteer.
The Raffensberger family was among 38,000 people who laid wreaths on headstones today at Arlington, according to Wreaths Across America, which each year holds the event at Arlington and at military cemeteries nationwide. The Democratic National Committee is pushing back against a request from the party’s presidential candidates to change debate requirements to allow Cory Booker and Julián Castro to appear on the January stage.
The letter, sent to the DNC Saturday afternoon, is signed by Booker, Castro and all seven presidential candidates who have already qualified for the December debate. It urges the committee to alter its debate qualifications for the January and February debates in a way that would allow Booker and Castro and potentially several other candidates to appear.

He beat out fellow quarterbacks Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma) and Justin Fields (Ohio State) and defensive end Chase Young (Ohio State) to hoist the 85th edition of the award at the PlayStation Theater in New York City.
