Donald Trump will prevail over
‘scalp-hunting’ journalists

Ever since Watergate and the fall of Richard Nixon, a not-so-secret appeal of journalism has been the possibility that you, too, could bring down a president. Get a press pass and, presto, you’re another Woodward and Bernstein. Donald Trump just spoiled the fantasy. If, as expected, the Democrats’ impeachment dies a quick death in the Senate, it’s not just Speaker Nancy Pelosi who will have been thwarted. Presidential scalp-hunting by a biased media will be another Washington game disrupted by Trump.

In truth, he is prevailing. CNN is tanking, MSNBC is life support, NY times is cutting staff and the same with Washington Post. The only one that is winning big is FOX. If only they would get rid of Martha, Chris Wallace and Neil Cavuto it would be much better. I will confess, I can not watch those three.

"the Times should hire a law firm or outside adviser to examine what’s wrong with its newsroom" This is VERY unlikely to happen and even if done would NEVER result in a true and unbiased review. They would hire people that will tell them they are an ace news organization who made a few minor mistakes and blame it all on the antagonistic atmosphere that Trump has created. The media has been slipping down this slope for decades. At first we were accusing them of bias; something they vehemently denied. It seemed like the more they were accused of bias, the more biased they acted. It was like exonerating themselves freed them to behave even worse. When BO won, they were ecstatic. Now things were going their way and would for the conceivable future. They could take off their masks and be themselves. It showed we were right, they are beyond biased. They exposed themselves as a propaganda machine for the Left. However, Bo began a slow slide out the door and they could wrap their heads around it. When Trump won, their heads exploded. They were blatantly crestfallen on 2016 election night. They were stunned and had no answers. NONE of them saw it coming and their angst was palpable. After the election it became obvious that the media was an enthusiastic part of the "resistance". At constraints were thrown away because, well, because Trump won and they just could not STAND that it be so. Trump fully understands media and saw no reason to be nice to people who hated him. He labeled them fake news and they obligingly did everything they could to prove him right. They acted like idiots and got called on it. They egregiously lied and some got fired. They whined about how unfair it all was that Trump refused to go away and was insulting them. They drove their credibility down, down, down. The media has had uncountable chances to turn themselves around and they REFUSE to even truly consider it. Trump IS going to win and likely help regrab the House in a possible landslide. What will they say then, when all their efforts have been repudiated and rejected? The American People will have measured their worth and found them badly wanting. Do some of them have the capacity for deep and insightful review and change? There is little indication they do. Will they desperately fade away? Will they scurry away into new crevices?

In 1947, over President Harry Truman’s veto, Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act. In doing so, it put an end to a long-since-forgotten era of labor unrest and paved the way to the prosperous 1950s. Taft-Hartley curbed some of the worst excesses of Depression-era law that govern labor unions even to this day. Its greatest contribution to our modern governance was the state right-to-work law. States could forbid the pernicious practice of forcing workers to pay a union as a condition of their employment. Unfortunately, Democrats in Congress, out of obedience to the Big Labor bosses who underwrite their campaigns, are threatening to repeal and ban all such laws with new legislation.

Clearly Greta Thunberg is being exploited by her cynical puppetmasters, but equally clearly she’s a tiresome, bizarre Marxist scold whose exploitation of the hapless dummies who buy into the climate change hoax is part of what is an increasingly violent plot to undermine capitalism and freedom. Recently, the cretins at TIME, which shockingly still exists in 2019, named her “Person of the Year.” (Snip) In 2029, after the world hasn’t ended but her usefulness has, she’ll be a Jeopardy question and probably shacked up with an unemployed performance artist named Björn in an Oslo suburb. Fun fact: “Greta Thunberg” is Swedish for “Cindy Sheenhan.”

The Justice Department’s report on the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane probe is the first official account of sources relied on by Christopher Steele to write a dossier that damaged President Trump, energized the FBI and ultimately proved to be untrue. The Justice Department inspector general’s report shows that an anonymous phone call with a Steele source provided the unverified conspiracy theory to trigger a Trump campaign wiretap. Mr. Steele talked to the FBI but refused to reveal his murky network. But the FBI was able to locate his “primary sub-source.” After interviewing the Moscow-based person three times in 2017, the results “raised significant questions

So former FBI chief Jim Comey finally admits the glaringly obvious: “I was overconfident as director in our procedures” in getting a warrant to wiretap a Trump campaign aide and the bureau’s behavior “was not acceptable.” Comey came to this belated mea culpa during a tough Sunday interview by Fox News’ Chris Wallace, after a damning report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, which slammed “the entire chain of command” under Comey for major “performance failures.” Yet, while Comey has accepted the basic facts Horowitz uncovered — even saying, “He’s right, I was wrong” — he is still in deep denial on key IG findings.

The last round of Democratic presidential debates is scheduled for next week and Senator Cory Booker isn’t happy about it. More specifically, he’s upset that he won’t be invited to attend under the current DNC rules. Of course, he’s hardly alone in that boat. We still have well over a dozen contenders but only seven of them have qualified. As a result, Booker is circulating a petition asking the DNC to relax the rules, and surprisingly, some of his leading competitors have already signed on. (The Hill) Sen. The Oakland Raiders played their last game at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on Sunday, finishing their run in the city with a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars -- and anger from the fans. Raiders players, including quarterback Derek Carr, heard a loud drone of boos as they walked off the field. Trash also rained down from the seats. Video from Yahoo Sports reporter Torrey Hart also captured security getting into a brawl with a fan near the end zone. Hart tweeted that another woman was bleeding from the forehead after she apparently got hit with a piece of trash that other fans were throwing onto the field.

After he was acquitted in a major fraud trial, former Labor Secretary Ray Donovan asked, “Which office do I go to to get my reputation back?” The trial was ruinous for Donovan, personally and financially, and the question was a fair one. Donovan, however, at least received a trial. Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page has never been given a fair hearing, let alone a trial, to clear his name. As the two political parties spin the results of a report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, one matter remains unaddressed. Someone needs to apologize to Page. The Democratic National Committee is pushing back against a request from the party’s presidential candidates to change debate requirements to allow Cory Booker and Julián Castro to appear on the January stage. The letter, sent to the DNC Saturday afternoon, is signed by Booker, Castro and all seven presidential candidates who have already qualified for the December debate. It urges the committee to alter its debate qualifications for the January and February debates in a way that would allow Booker and Castro and potentially several other candidates to appear.

If you happen to live in or around Joliet Township in Illinois, located a bit to the southwest of Chicago, and you happen to be looking for work, there’s some good news coming your way. The Township is looking to hire a new clerk. If you’re interested, the job will entail many of the tasks you’d likely expect, including answering phones, filing and making copies. There is one special requirement, however. You have to be a Democrat to apply. Imagine California being “too close to call” for Donald Trump vs. his Democratic opponent on election night in November of 2020. That, in essence, is what happened in the United Kingdom Thursday night with an enormous, and historic, win for Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party. This movement of the political tectonic plates will surely cause a tsunami of reaction across the pond, here in the U.S., as well around the world. Since the era of Margaret Thatcher the U.K hasn’t seen such a surge toward the Conservative Party and this is such a large win that it will hold for at least a generation to come.

He beat out fellow quarterbacks Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma) and Justin Fields (Ohio State) and defensive end Chase Young (Ohio State) to hoist the 85th edition of the award at the PlayStation Theater in New York City. Burrow finished with the largest margin of victory in Heisman history, as 1,846 points separated him from second-place Hurts. He also received a record 90.7% of all the first-place votes available and was named on 95.5% of ballots, another record.

The sighting raised questions about Milk's sexual orientation in an era when the military banned gay, lesbian and bisexual service members. Milk was forced to resign.
