Saving the planet takes money, and lots of it. Money is both the theme and the subtext of the latest round of UN climate talks being held here—a vast river of cash flows through the UN climate process. Formally, the meeting is about nailing down one of the more obscure provisions of the Paris Agreement: Article 6, which provides for market-based instruments so that countries can trade their way out of their decarbonization commitments. Billions of cross-border dollars and transaction fees hang on the outcome.
With the negotiations concerning mind-paralyzing definitions of interest only to the most intrepid climate geeks, business and finance leaders could wind up taking center stage.

I'm sure that it is just a coincidence that Al Gore , in profile, looks a lot like George Soros.

"The EU is about to approve a massive Green New Deal." Yea Boris Johnson. Looks like the UK will be getting out just in time. The EU is committing economic suicide.

Green my eye. Huge push right now for electric cars. In 10-15 years, they will be like the rusting, non-functioning windmills that are now scattered across the land.

"Benjamin" should be plural. The term comes from the slang phrase "All About the Benjamins," which refers to pictures of Benjamin Franklin on hundred-dollar bills. It should have the plural "s" on it.

Mr. Darwall explains it well. The socialists already have health care nailed down, it is just a matter of incrementalism on that. They are well on their way to destroying capitalism with the phony global climate change BS. Take away the guns and there is nothing left but pure socialism.

There is a fundamental fraud here from which the rest of this poisonous cotton candy has been spun. US has 6% of the world population and produces close to 27% of the world's 'greenhouse ' gases. So the argument is that American taxpayers owe the rest of the world money for the 21% difference. How much and in what form is the only thing up for discussion. However the reality is that the US also produces 27% of the world's goods and services. That wealth is precisely what they are after. If it were not for PDT there will be a direct siphon from out pocket books to the corrupt thugs of the UN and the third world and their globalist corporate allies. Just like 11/08/16 we the American people have dodged a huge bullet, thanks to Trump.

I'm hoping that all of the auto manufacturers who recently jumped on the electric car bandwagon go bust on those projects, like Tesla would without subsidies. Switching technology to something that requires an extra step in fuel production causing equal CO2 emission, thousands of new charging stations and higher cost in the face of cheaper and easier gasoline is not very bright and will serve as a good negative reinforcement. The bad news for standard car buyers is that gasoline-powered cars will have added factory costs for electric cars tacked on to them and prices have already risen disproportionately on those.

The only solution is for more scientists to become honest and declare loudly and unequivocally that carbon dioxide is not a threat and is not causing climate change; it is making the earth greener because it is plant food. Until the man-made climate change lie is thoroughly debunked and gets through to politicians, businesses, and the media, there will only be fake solutions to a fake problem. Oh yes, and it is imperative that we leave the UN and not give them another dime.

Climate Change is the precursor of the Impeachment Issue. Same thing! The left is notorious for using the same play book loaded with lies and false predictions to foment mass hysteria.

The democRATS use to try and cover up their lies, however, now they just come right out and don't bother with any cover story. They have lost any credibility with me and many others. To bad, political fights use to be fun to watch, no longer.

Its always been about the money. There are some very rich people heavily invested in Climate Change. First place to look would be Bloomberg and Steyer. Undoubtedly there are others.

FTA: "Money is both the theme and the subtext of the latest round of UN climate talks being held here—a vast river of cash flows through the UN climate process."
Rivers of money run through virtually all the great "causes" of our time. People mindlessly get behind a "good idea" which is then marinated in propaganda (usually featuring cute kids and animals) until the idea becomes an incontestable cause. It doesn't take much to get started, either.

The climate change radicals always want others to make the sacrifice, and pay for their scams. They have no credibility because they do not live the way they ask others to do. When I see them selling their cars and living in communes, with no electricity (except what they get from their windmill or solar panel), and becoming total vegans, I might. at least, give them for some credit- even though they are still wrong.
No, they will never do that. The wacked out radicals may try it for a while, like they did in the '60s, but they always come back. The planet does not need saving. It's all a fantasy.

"MMGW/Climate Change" is all about money and power, and nothing to do with "saving the planet". That story is for the rubes and suckers, indoctrinated by the useful idiots who are pumping this propaganda.

The motives behind the Man-Made Global Warming hoax are money and power. Since it looks like it might cooler, they changed it to Climate Change so which ever way it goes, they've got it covered.
Remember, the climate has been changing forever. Even before man appeared on the Earth.
