NY Times opinion columnist Michelle Goldberg has coined a new term for the left’s misery over the election of President Trump: Democracy grief. According to Goldberg, the feeling that some environmentalists have about climate change is called “climate grief.” Democracy grief is the equivalent for those who believe a second Trump term will mark the end of liberal democracy in the Unites States: Lately, I think I’m experiencing democracy grief. For anyone who was, like me, born after the civil rights movement finally made democracy in America real, liberal democracy has always been part of the climate, as easy to take for granted as clean air or

The American people are fed up with all the old hippies that demonstrated during the 60’s and 70’s that have infiltrated the media, schools and government and are running things. It time for the hippies to realize their free ride is up.

What an idiot. This country is a republic not a democracy. Get over it already. Make an appointment with a psychiatrist, get some counseling and some medications and you should feel better someday in the future if you work at it. The first thing to do is accept the fact you are powerless over voters and that right now your life is unmanageable. Then quit drinking and find a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous.

So, like Andrew McCabe he’d like to rid the county of those who he regards as “smelly Walmart people”
I swear the media in this country are more like the USSR every flipping day.

This is exactly how complacent and out of date businesses feel when confronted by disruptive businesses. They are literally dumb struck that the world view that they so carefully crafted for themselves could be upset by a paradigm shift in public awareness. It is not unlike when the Beatles appeared on the scene and overturned the entire commercial music business. The comfortable pop music moguls and song writers were driven out of the business and replaced with creative and adaptive geniuses like Clive Davis that saw the future and embraced it.
Trump is a political rock star that has changed politics forever and the Democrats are shell shocked without an answer.

It is more like Leftist Grief than Democracy Grief. I am not sure after what I have been seeing, hearing and reading lately that democrats even know what the word democracy means anymore.

They live in a fantasy world of despair, anger, and fear, they think the world is about to end due to climate change, and many of them think they are actually the opposite sex. Truly mentally ill.

If they like communism/socialism/fascism/nazism so much, there are a variety of nations to choose from where they might feel much more at home; NK, China, Venezuela, Vietnam, &etc. I suggest they go there. And that's easy to do as we don't have walls and armed guards to keep people in, as most of those garden spots did and do.

The NYT actually pays for this. That says it all. BTW, no one at the NYT cares if fewer and fewer people believe anything they print. They don't care how many stop reading that rag. It is a fanatical obsession with the few neocommunists that run that mess to tout every hyper left whine and wish. A least several million will always look up to that 'news' source. One of the many reasons the coup leaders and enablers must face justice and exposure ASAP.
