A Texas federal judge on Friday ordered President Joe Biden to stop the mass release of illegal migrant children crossing the southern border into the country.
Judge Mark Pittman’s order prevents Biden from exempting minor migrants from Title 42. Title 42 is an immigration policy implemented by former President Donald Trump that allows U.S. immigration officials to expel immediately migrants who come to the southern border. Title 42 was implemented in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Since the policy’s start in March 2020, the federal government has expelled more than 1.6 million migrants.
Biden previously declined to expel unaccompanied minor children under Title 42.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday condemned Florida surgeon general Joseph Ladapo’s recommendation against healthy children receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
When a reporter asked Psaki whether the Biden administration agreed with that advisory, she replied: “Absolutely not. … We know the science, we know the data and what works and what the most effective steps are in protecting people of a range of ages from hospitalization and even death.”

In separate orders late Monday, the justices are allowing maps selected by each state’s Supreme Court to be in effect for the 2022 elections.

Tamara Lich, 49, was behind a now-halted GoFundMe campaign that raised more than $10 million to support the protest in Ottawa, which became a weeks-long occupation.
She was arrested Feb. 17 and charged with counselling to commit mischief shortly before the major push by police to clear out the remaining protesters who occupied downtown Ottawa streets. Lich remained in custody and was denied bail on Feb. 22, but then appealed, leading to a March 2 bail review hearing.
The Supreme Court ruled on Monday against an appeal concerning Bill Cosby’s overturned conviction in 2021 involving a sexual assault conviction.
The decision left in place a 4-3 ruling by Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court that ruled Cosby’s 2018 conviction violated his due process rights. Cosby was released in June following the overturned decision.

The federal government, that bloated DC bureaucracy, that center of massive spending and outcomes that are rarely, if ever, positive, has gotten far too big. It does much, but little of it well, spending money like there’s no tomorrow while achieving little, racking up a massive mountain of debt and inflating the currency away to nothing for no corresponding gain of note.
Yet worse, much of what it’s doing is unconstitutional; federal agencies of dubious constitutionality rule over the American people like eastern despots while the rules they promulgate crush small businesses under a mountain of paperwork or make whatever problem they’re meant to “solve” even worse.
